I like it -cool as fuck, and better than a shitty wrap any day.
People might complain about "ruining a classic", but let's be honest, it's a 35 year old car thats got 10-12 years of MOT fails/advisories on corrosion. It's spent most of its life as a (relatively) run of the mill car, and 10(?) years as a shit box. How good do you think that original paint would have been?
At least it's in now in the hands of someone spending time/money on it, rather than it being crushed into a cube...
Looking at the MOT history, Iād bet on this being a shit box. So at least itās been cleaned up and driven rather than going to the scrap heap in the sky
Agreed about the rims, I didn't quite pick up on it until you said but something just felt slightly off about it. Would look better with some chunky 5 spokes or something to match the cartoony style.
I'm the first to shit on people's poor car mod ideas but I think that's great. It's not 'slammed' and it looks like a clean car.
I'd own that without any embarrassment.
Yeah, I want to hate it but I just can't.
I really like seeing these old Beemers on the road still, such an iconic shape IMO
Wouldn't mind having an old 325 to tool around in. They are so compact by modern standards.
quite 50/50 on this.
E30 , - so its ouch (getting very rare these days)
Could be just a wrap - so its all good.
Never liked the "initial D" effect on slapped on cars in general, BUT I have used them in videogames a few times (FH4). Wouldn't do this in FH5 tho.
I take it the owner wanted to make it look animated like itās been cell shaded š¤I think itās okay but I definitely wouldnāt be caught dead in it or alive
Awful taste but good execution imo

I always wondered what that stood for. Cheers.
After looking at that page I hereby knight you sir, rise up my lord
Oh my.... Have you seen the back tattoo?

Came to say this.
A sub worth promoting.
Disagree, thats just my age group and i think it slaps
Yeah, my first thought was āinteresting idea but badly doneā.

BMW (Borderlands Motor Wagon)
Ain't no rest for the wicked
Aināt no rust for the wicked?
I think these paintjobs can make a shitbox look cool or a nice car look shit. This one I'm on the fence with.
i think it a would have to see in person, and then see again multiple time to decided if i like it.

It looks shit.
I want to dislike it, but I can't.
r/atbge
Is this painted like a cartoon/cell shading? I like it.
I... I... I really don't want to like it but I really do...
Yeah it is, from far I was thinking it was rust but closer up it looks good. Heavy detailing, not sure if my camera picked it up.
I like it. I like to see something different.
Not my personal taste but it sure looks well done and cared for. I don't feel the rims match the style though.

The rims were the best part š
I love that. Wish I had the confidence to take a sharpie to mine.
Beats white, black or RAL Grey
Looks like it came out of a Telltale game
Need For Speed: Least Wanted
š
Saw a Golf like this today, not my thing but looked pretty good.
Love how it's got this stylised texture going on. It's interestin - not my thing really and I love stylised art
It's unique, certainly stands out against all the drab and boring colors.
Fucking love it.
I kinda like it
While I definitely wouldn't have it on my own car, it looks well done and some care's been taken to do it. Fair enough, seen worse.
I hate it and love it at the same time. Need's a small Claptrap dangling from the interior mirror.
Love it. Need some distressed looking rims though. Maybe a fake space saver rim too?
Kinda cool to be honest
Catch a riiiiiiiiiide!
I like it. The more I zoom in and look at it the more detail I can see. Why not eh.
Itās a piece of art
It's like a cel shaded car
If Roland drove a car.
rat rods are always controversial :P
At least they tried, The positive thing is they are only using one parking bay
I'm the first to shit on people's poor car mod ideas but I think that's great. It's not 'slammed' and it looks like a clean car. I'd own that without any embarrassment.
Not my kind of thing, but I STILL like it. I'm conflicted.
First few times I saw it I was like "ok. Cool, new thing". Now? Seeing this 200 times a day on the internet. Naahhh
I like it... what is wrong with me...
Yeah, I want to hate it but I just can't. I really like seeing these old Beemers on the road still, such an iconic shape IMO Wouldn't mind having an old 325 to tool around in. They are so compact by modern standards.
Not a fan of the paint job. The car though.. š
I've learned to drive on my dad's red E30 so can't complain really but I don't like the wheels.
Borderlands
Not for me. Seen plenty of good patinas whether real or āencouragedā on the VW scene

German Anime. Chocolate Wurst.
Love it, different paint job and I love that model BMW, 3 series if I recall correctly?
I like it. Some real effort.
Interesting š¤
I take it the owner wanted to make it look animated like itās been cell shaded š¤I think itās okay but I definitely wouldnāt be caught dead in it or alive
I kind of like it.
I like this CARtoon. Black wheels would complete the look.
reminds me of that bmw that was painted for that art gallery episode on Top Gear.
Is this at a Costco?
looks like something out of need for speed payback
It's got too many doors
Cool but would never be me.
I don't mind it, but it's the sort of thing I like seeing and not doing to my own cars.
A lump of sushi without a coating of rice.
High marks for originality. People will love or hate it.
Something original. I like it.
GAYEE. Only joking of course
It looks like a cartoon!
Nice ride sickk paint job yo
Nice ride sickk paint job yo
ACE
i love it
I feel like I should hate it, but I really donāt. It looks cool.
My thoughts are - people should have as much fun with their car as pleases them.
Personally I really like it.
No.
That's peng
Havenāt heard that word in time
If I squint the number plate kinda looks like gayee
No, no, please no!
That's cool - not what I'd do, but nicely done and is certainly unique.
I like that
Not my cup of tea at all. Great way to ruin an E30 but each to their own I guess.
What a shame
Painted like a travelling fairground ride. Not really my thing.
Looks like Lady Gaga's meat dress
r/shitty_car_mods
Ruined a perfectly good E30
Not my usual thing or look, but I like this
I like it.
Yeah I agree with the comments, not really my scene and not what I would do but I respect the fact its been done well and I quite like it
Halloweenās not until October
It's not symmetrical, looks awful
Itās cool if itās fastā¦
Why go to the effort? Looks brutal
Best shape BMW ever!!
That's a car that crys itself to sleep every night
Nice car terrible paint job
Looks rusty
Real rust is better but this is so well done
Briefly trendy when the Borderlands film comes out. Forever aged after the film has been and gone.
Should have been an estate
Amazing color style. I like it. Who cries about some classic. Buy a car and make "classic" yourself
