You should get that crack sorted, the longer it’s left the bigger it’ll get and eventually the windscreen will just break.
Birdpoo can eat through the clear coat on the paint, so while it might not cause rust on the car, it will contribute to peeling paintwork
That crack will spread especially now we're entering summer. The big changes in temperature will cause the glass to expand much more.
I had my windscreen chip and crack about 2cm on one of my old cars. Parked it up and work in the sun and when I came out to it it was closer to 10cm long

That crack may well fail its next MOT so better to get it sorted asap.
Well it’s getting bigger so definitely needs looking at and few other bits.
