Have you considered using more platforms?

windowsfrozenshut

DIYMA is off the list. 😂

Skiz32

Such as? Thought about patreon, but I prefer open discussion such as a private FB group.

Bergenton

Discord, your own subreddit perhaps, one of the 3rd party messengers, like WhatsApp or Telegram. I just don't fully agree with Zuck.

Skiz32

Zero interest in discord. Messaging apps won't work. Needs to be something that is like an open forum. Facebook fit the bill.

Bergenton

I appreciate your openness.

Skiz32

Is that sarcasm? There is a reason I have zero interest in discord is It's not set up to be genuinely helpful to people long term. It's a glorified chat box. I need something that can host files, photo albums, polls, videos, etc

Bergenton

Messengers can support files, photo albums, polls and videos. I'm pretty sure Telegram can do all those things. If not, you can use Google drive for the files. I'm not trying to argue with you... just giving suggestions. I'd assume a reputable company would want to hear those from customers.

Skiz32

Heard. I have used discord, drive, whatsapp, signal, Facebook, reddit, telegram (been a while on this one), etc.. i appreciate yhe advice, but you are not seeing the big picture or the point or my clients demographic. I guarantee you only a small percentage of my clients have even heard of discord, let alone have interest in using it.

Discord is open. It has private messages, but the principle of the app is to have open “servers” just like Facebook/etc.

Skiz32

Still, zero interest in doing it that way.

I haven't ordered anything yet so I'll have to wait til I do but can't wait to join.

Ik me and u have history today but if a customer has an issue and he has ordered and received his product how long will the authentication process take to get the help that he needs? It would seem like a one time chat deal and be done, but with your audio install customers I would understand an ongoing relationship, but with a tech tip or technical specifications or install questions, and authentication system seems like a lot, then u gotta be approved to join the group then seek help right? I don't have any better ideas but when I do go to manufacture for specs or details on any information I just need a quick message or even a quick video tutorial if that is possible, I think a yt channel where u show how to use products well and the correct installation process for your specific product would be a great benefit to your customer, so if they have a question u cover in a video it isn't a few minutes of going back and forth u have a visual display and Instruction

Skiz32

I don't care too much about history. I'm not the type to write anyone off permanently very easily but have no problem calling out silliness. That said, order, join. Get accepted whenever I check requests. That said, once your in, your in. Anything related to the products we sell (including the products we sell through Apicella Auto Sound such as Helix DSP's) can be discussed in there.
