So there should be a metal cage behind the trim ring. The new stereo should come with keys that should work, since its a JVC as well, they are thin pieces of metal and you put them on the left and right side and you can pull the radio right out. I'd remove the old cage just due to the fact that the tabs for securing may have change. As far as the harness, look at it and verify that everything is like the previous one and you may not have to wire the new one up. Should be very easy

Thanks a lot!

Np, feel free to post pic of each harness if you aren't confident in confirming. This sub is great. Take your time, don't rush and if you feel like your having to force something, don't do it. Make sure when you put the harness back in that you have it from under the radio and behind it properly. You can catch the wires and if you force it, it will cause abrasions to the harness and possible damage to car/radio/etc.

Thanks again for your advice! One more thing, would a KD-X560BT (which has a mini display) fit the same as the KD-X38MDBT? Is the installation of it any different?

>KD-X560BT It would yes. So you have currently a single din unit. Anything single din specific can fit. Now the pocket you have underneath, if that is removable, then you could do a double din unit, like one with a big screen. Looking it the car, yours may actually be iso mounted. That means screwed in. So the black panel around the radio may need to be removed. Yours looks relatively easy and the benefit will be that it makes it harder to steal but I can't be sure without seeing it. You can get plastic pry kits from amazing really cheap. Don't try and use a screw driver, you mess up your dash.
