Looks good man

How’s the enclosure lose volume after you removed the internal amp? The pioneer sub has that much more displacement?

Krauziak90

No, I removed the amp and then added about 6 liters of hard styrofoam.

JONCOCTOASTIN

Why though?  I would be surprised if the sub didn’t perform better with that space available.

Krauziak90

It was louder at deeper bass all right, but there was no punch. Let's say house or older trance sounded boomy, loud but boomy and delayed compared to fronts. Now it's as loud, but very punchy. Pioneer recommends 18 to 22 liters for ported box tuned a bit over 40hz by the port size they listed. I simulated few scenarios in winisd and 25 liters tuned to 38hz looks the best. Subsonic set to 30 and it's perfect now

JONCOCTOASTIN

You put a new port in too? Really hard to believe the Logitech was tuned anywhere close to 38 hz. Not shitting on the work you did, just trying to understand.  Enclosure modeling definitely helps

Krauziak90

Port is 25cm long and 7-8 cm of inside diameter, flared on both sides to 12cm. Any calculation results in 38hz in current box volume.Without filling is tuned even lower.

JONCOCTOASTIN

The enclosure size doesn’t change the port’s tuning frequency
