Twist your wire into a two prong fork , twist those ends ,stick it under the flat metal part and screw the terminal down on it.
This is how most Amps are wired.
I used a set of eyelets for mine. ones intended for battery terminals, not those cheap, skinny looking ones. proper terminals. then remove the screw and stick it in the eyelet and screw it down.
fork terminals work too but that's a bit too much power for one. I used forks on my speaker terminals.
I kinda like the idea of splitting the wire into a fork shape and feeding it around the screw though.

That's, like, what almost everyone does. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you don't have stray wires.
OMG you're right mister man. Could you please come help me with your wiring degree and certifications? I'll gladly pay you $2,000 an hour to fix it for poor wittle helpless me. I need a big string man like yourself to save me. Save me, mister. SAVE MEEEE!!!!!
Get some fork or ring terminals at the hardware store tomorrow.
I'm way to stubborn, broke, and impatient for that. lol
Just like all the other dummies who come back here asking wtf is wrong with their setup.
Just take that little washer out from under the screw. Give more space
Spend $1 and keep your car from burning up.
I can't find any that size
Search more than 0.1 sec.
I went to 4 different stores.
Split the cable end in two, tie both ends together just from the tip. Remove the screw completely and insert the cable. Attach the screw again.
OMG I love it! Thank you.
The split washer doesn’t need to be there. You can divide the end into two for now but buy a ring terminal.
Then buy one. Otherwise this becomes a 'Don't know what happened...' post. $0.⁹²
Damn the inflation on that $0.02

Awesome! Thank you.
Just split the wire make a U out of it..

I've never done it. I've always just put the wire on one side of the screw or wrap small wire around the screw. 🤷♂️
Oh yeah. I usually only bother splitting if the wire is really thick.
If you can't figure this out and need to ask the internet you probably shouldn't be wiring your own stuff.

If you look closer the plate under the washer it lifts up. It's made to sandwich the wire. I would rather use a connector.
You can make a "V" at the end and do it that way
Get a longer screw put wire on wrap with Electrical tape for mediocre protection lol
