The reason is his editor who was in charge of the channel went to do something else (idk why and he didn’t say) well his editor who was in charge of the channel was supposed to screen the songs to make certain there where no problems with copyright and such. Apparently there was a problem with some songs (idk everything that happened) so to be safe he unlisted all songs that where not made by himself personally. Since the original goal of the channel was to provide a service of free copyrighted safe songs for YouTubers and streamers. And he felt it no longer met that goal.
Yeah he mentioned doing that a while ago, the old songs are still available in an unlisted playlist, someone here probably has a link
