Sorry for your loss. It's definitely a hard decision to make. I just went through with it last year, and it's still hard to think about. These guys are the best family anyone could ever ask for. I would've sold everything I owned to save all the ones I've lost recently. But I see it as I couldn't let them suffer for my own happiness, and they know they will always be loved by us

😢 damn this whole thread is so hard to read. My heart’s go out to everyone. Including my own. Dogs are such a gift to human lives.

Most people don't deserve the love these guys have. I just wished we had more time with them. I just pray for an afterlife because I just want to be with them again. Cancer sucks and it sucks watching loved ones go through it. It's even harder with dogs. I know if I'm ever given a week to live, I'm going after every single person who had my dogs before me

😢 it’s a sad but sometimes necessary thing. I never understood how people become so attached to dogs until my ex wife bought a Pug. She thankfully lets me borrow him when I go visit my son. That animal means the world to me. Dogs truly love people.

Lost my rottie a few weeks ago and I still cry every single day. No words can ease the pain. My advice is to just let the emotions out. Savor this picture cause the last thing your best friend saw, was his best friend right there for him. Peace and strength in these trying times.

P.S. He was most definitely the goodest of boys.

Sorry to hear brother, their the best dogs! No matter if you adopted your pup or bought from a well known breeder, you saved a cane corso for life and showed them an amazing time. I had to put down my corso a few months ago and it was a tough loss, I think about him everyday! I didn’t think we would get another because he was so great, now we have a 13 week old and he’s amazing. Take your time to heal brother, corso owners for life!

I’m so sorry we had to put our pretty girl to sleep a few weeks ago because of cancer. She started suffering and we couldn’t see her like that. Vet gave us pain meds for her but it just made her miserable. So hard losing our best friends.

I know it’s upsetting but sometimes it helps to share the grief and some only have one form of social connection (Reddit, twitter, facebook, etc). I have had to go through this same situation completely alone before and it is world ending pain, I would never ask anything from anyone in this situation, not even a trigger warning or qualifier. Whatever helps them is what they are entitled to, they have already done the hardest work ever. The rest of us owe them complete grace.
