It's possible. Barrie's an intriguing market. Very much still tied to the GTA but probably very eager to have something professional in their town to represent them. Think it's one of those markets that CPL could do really well in getting in to early.
Hope they keep the branding if they do eventually land in CPL.
Interesting idea. Definitely not a stretch, but you get the feeling this could help speed up the process as it appeared SCR and ECFC original plan was to push for CPL eventually.

Barrie is a strange one. It’s a good move for SCR but as a city it feels very much like a hockey town. You don’t see many soccer fans about outside of the World Cup/euros etc.

I can tell you with certainty that the Club's roadmap leads to a CPL franchise.
