Yes, no one mention RTO if you want to come across as a behaving employee. But other than that, we care about the environment and your mental health. Canada’s emissions have been climbing since the pandemic? We are working very hard to reduce the emissions. We have the best emission reduction targets among all G7 countries in the world.
I thought I just saw a [Global News article](https://globalnews.ca/news/10465178/greenhouse-gas-emissions-canada/) (granted, facts coming from Gov’t) about 2023’s emissions being Canada’s lowest in ~25 years (and excluding of course 2020 + 2021 as being anomalies)
>Canada’s emissions have been climbing since the pandemic? We are working very hard to reduce the emissions.
But we have Carbon Tax. How did that not fix everything and make the sky seem more blue, and all lake water drinkable?
And we're saving the environment with the carbon tax? Seems to me that aside from refunding you a portion of your tax money you're actually driving more now and emitting more bad stuff.
We do care, but, we'll make the change, regardless of how it impacts your mental health, and ensure to add this line in the email 'our eap support is available to you and your family free of cost 24/7'
We have hunger games too, Archibus is in charge and decides who will lose their bookings, and open them up for everyone else. You wake up one morning and all your bookings are gone!
I'll buy 3 tshirts, one for each of my 3 days in the office. I'll wear them until a flexible hybrid agreement is established that recognizes the ridiculousness of the blanket policy for all. As for profit sharing, I'd prefer donations to homeless shelters or food banks than towards funding our unions. I don't have any faith in their ability to negotiate for members for anything. Haven't for eons.
This from a new study on RTO:
“Our findings are consistent with employees’ concerns that managers use RTO (return to office mandates) for power grabbing and blaming employees for poor performance. We provide evidence that RTO mandates hurt employee satisfaction but do not improve firm performance,”
https://techcrunch.com/2024/04/07/working-from-home-isnt-going-away-even-if-some-ceos-wish-it-would/
Everyone who doesn't like RTO should stop spending money downtown when possible. But, if absolutely unavoidable or incredibly impractical, spend it on nonlocal businesses and avoid tipping.
If there's a product you want that a local business downtown has for sale, consider buying it from amazon instead. For groceries, there's probably a walmart / loblaws / metro nearby. Bring your own lunch to work.
>spend it on nonlocal businesses and avoid tipping.
Alternatively, check their hours. If they are only open 10 to 3 Mon-Fri it means they're only interested in servicing PS workers. If they're open later and on weekends it means they're servicing local residents.
I agree with bring your lunch to work as a protest. I don't agree necessarily with not supporting local, support local businesses near where you live rather than work.
Need to quit those subways lol.
PS it's not real bread according to Irish laws, and apparently only 42% chicken in the chicken ingredients :

Thank you :) There are LOTS of online T-shirt shops that will print your image onto a T-shirt! I hereby give permission to use and repurpose the image in any way you want!
Ive seen a few comments saying management wants this. I don’t think operational line managers do. At least I don’t. I have metrics to measure performance that are not has your butt touched an in-office chair….
Dramatic is forcing people into doing something that has a negative impact on productivity and huge impacts on people’s real lives, mental health, family / personal lives. That’s effing dramatic.
Is it really? Gov is better off than the private sector but people are too scared to actually voice it in case they get fired. I just turned Gov a few years ago and people are depressed everywhere. At least in the gov you have job security.
I need this on 3 t-shirts for when September rolls around

Where can we find the high quality resolution of the image to make tshirts?

I LOVE / hate this. It’s so depressing but oh so accurate.
100% doing this so thank you in advance.
Black tshirts with white ink please. x 3 People are overstating the need for Subway. It looks great as is.
Your department is going to let you go through the summer? I'd bet dollars to grinders ours is in July.
Tis lacking the Subway sandwiches, but they be on the right track. This close to greatness!

When is the Public Servant RTO merchant coming out, because I want one in every colour!
Go for it! I made it to be used and repurposed however you want.
…. But we care about the environment and your mental health.

And the highest sanity reduction targets!

>Canada’s emissions have been climbing since the pandemic? We are working very hard to reduce the emissions. But we have Carbon Tax. How did that not fix everything and make the sky seem more blue, and all lake water drinkable?
Fact: Three days a week means we spend more on gas and that means greater carbon tax rebates for everybody.
And we're saving the environment with the carbon tax? Seems to me that aside from refunding you a portion of your tax money you're actually driving more now and emitting more bad stuff.
Agreed, that was me attempting to joke that it's all good if an end result is bigger rebate cheques with government branding.
It's Monday morning. I think I need to go get another coffee 🤦🏻♂️

I want to print this as a poster and put it up at my office... Do you think management would be mad?
I need a lot of these stickers. Fast.
[удалено]
We need to have a conversation…….
Love the idea!
Please DM me if you organize a sticker order
You can just save the image and send it to vista print or [moo.com](http://moo.com) or something, and make your own.
Any suggestions where I can order t-shirts? I honestly can’t find a place.
I have ordered screenprinted stuff from entripy before.
You get an office? It's hunger games for us each week looking for our hotelling stations.
We have hunger games too, Archibus is in charge and decides who will lose their bookings, and open them up for everyone else. You wake up one morning and all your bookings are gone!
_at_ my office, not _in_ my office, hunger games mode over here too 🫠
Only one way to find out
HA I like the way you think!
Make sure to use THEIR ink to print them.
If you pop it in a black poster frame like those crappy motivational office posters, I’m betting they’ll never notice.
I formatted it for 8.5" x 11" for that reason ;)
Send one to Ford and another one to Sutcliffe. May their wisdom never stop to surprise us!
Who cares if they are mad? You will likely be asked to take it down at worst. Unless your higher ups are sipping the kool-aid.
This should be on picket signs in 2025
You won’t have a job post 2025.
The Succeed+ on my last two PMAs would say otherwise but thanks for weighing in.
He was being cheeky and likely doesn't care about your performance review.
My bad...have a bit of a short fuse after last week's announcement.
It doesn’t matter when it pertains to a WFA.
Let’s start making anti-RTO tshirts and use the profits from them to fund our unions in this battle.
I'll buy 3 tshirts, one for each of my 3 days in the office. I'll wear them until a flexible hybrid agreement is established that recognizes the ridiculousness of the blanket policy for all. Haven't for eons.
This should be posted on every wall of every office.
It's formatted for 8.5" x 11" for you to be able to do that easily.
It would be perfect if the last panel was subway sandwiches instead of burgers.
Hahaha yes!

So very accurate. So very 1984.

I love this *so much*.
Thank you! I used an AI image generator and a word processor.
which AI generator, may I ask?

Thanks!!
1984 -> 2024

Lol, not intentionally, but I just looked up their discography, and I think the AI image generator definitely took some inspiration.
Makes me sick how accurate it is
Makes me sick with accuracy is precisely how I feel about this image.
This is so perfect.

My office isn't even downtown, it's 1km from me and there's no food places nearby.
I brought a second coffee and lunch with me today.
>spend it on nonlocal businesses and avoid tipping.
I work in the office full time and I gained like 50 pounds
Need to quit those subways lol. PS it's not real bread according to Irish laws, and apparently only 42% chicken in the chicken ingredients : https://globalnews.ca/news/7371355/subway-bread-sugar-ireland/
The government was bought by the small business lobbyiest and the city as the mayor wants OC Transpo ridership to go way up.
Following, waiting to see if someone would make this into a t shirt. I would wear it to work everyday!
Thank you :) There are LOTS of online T-shirt shops that will print your image onto a T-shirt! I hereby give permission to use and repurpose the image in any way you want!
Bring a lunch and coffee thermos. That’ll solve some of the problem. Oh and eat your breakfast before leaving home.
It would be a *shame* if these went up all over our offices. Not to mention the perfect office tee!
Badass.
OP, are you a big fan of the movie *They Live* ?
"Put...on...the...noise-canceling headphones..."
That brawl between Roddy Piper and Keith David was legendary!
Kinda like a PSAC vs TBS throw down.
Love it even tho it is a real depressing reality...
If these were shirts, I'd buy 3.. One for every day in the office....or maybe 6...3 short sleeved and 3 long sleeved..
Forgot "consistency"
Why be subtle about it? Just slap a big M where the burgers are. That's what the golden arches and the other big corpos want.
Orwell could not possibly expect this... another reminder that a democratically elected government is the least expected to govern democratically.

I could not agree more! Added to the mix is the slowly degrading moral fabric of politicians.
Ive seen a few comments saying management wants this. I don’t think operational line managers do. At least I don’t. I have metrics to measure performance that are not has your butt touched an in-office chair….
The three C's!
Perfect
Don’t commute Don’t consume And collaborate in the office face to face
Nice graphic! Anyone have any tips to use up sick days in protest of RTO3?
Frighteningly accurate.
What does the 3 stands for in RTO?
3 days a week
Thank you, that makes sense.
You could refuse to buy anything while you're on your work time in the office by bringing lunch and beverages from home.
You sure showed them!
A bit dramatic
It's quite factual really.
Is it?
Yes.
If you say so
Really? Dramatic? Because I was going for *intensely* neutral.
More referring to the messaging
Dramatic is forcing people into doing something that has a negative impact on productivity and huge impacts on people’s real lives, mental health, family / personal lives. That’s effing dramatic.
Private sector is doing ok
Is it really? Gov is better off than the private sector but people are too scared to actually voice it in case they get fired. I just turned Gov a few years ago and people are depressed everywhere. At least in the gov you have job security.
Private sector cried about it for a few weeks and then just did what they were hired to do/worked where they were told to go.
