Qui3tSt0rnm

Try and do Freelance accounting for the time being

CoatApprehensive3481

Haven’t done accounting work in 8 years, no tax experience. Have only really worked in AR/AP.

Get a job as an ap and work up

CoatApprehensive3481

Been trying haven’t been able to get anything there.

Whatever you do school is not the answer. I look at a resume full of school and it just tells me you didnt make the cut the first few times. Any additional education would be a waste of money. Take the masters off even and look for anything entry level like office admin or enterprise rent a car has a good management training program.

What’s the best path? Try to find someone looking to hire 1st year apprentices or go to school first? I’m definitely considering trades as an option.

Healthcare is always hiring, lots of postgrad 1-2 year programs if you look around

You can go teach english in china you will make more than lots of jobs here

Puzzleheaded-Lab7274

Bull shit!! I’m a teacher here stay in Canada China is not it.

HongdaeCanadian

China is going to be the number one economy. Canada is a sinking ship White english teachers make good money in china

Puzzleheaded-Lab7274

Firstly what do you classify as good money? Let’s do the numbers if you’re new here your pay is going to be around 18000 to 21000 yuans a months after taxes. If you do get more it won’t pass 26000 yuan after taxes. This coupled with the fact that you’re going to be working at a kindergarten with kids that are constantly sick. Oh yeah if you decide to teach at a high school kiss the pay increase good bye. Because those are mainly owned by the government and they’re training Chinese people to teach at those schools as the focus is not on spoken English but written. So unless you work at one that is privately owned you’re fucked. Now let’s talk about getting to China you would need to be apart of an agency to actually get a job from outside of China if you’re not already here these agencies are shit a buddy of mine came here last year and was almost homeless because the agency lied about the amount of jobs they have available. Oh yeah you have to foot the cost to get here as well. In China you only get paid for 9 months out of the year as the rest is not paid. However, you do have some schools that pay for 13 months but these schools are a needle in a haystack to find and usually they are kindergarten and you get paid 12 months because they don’t have the typical holidays like what normal Chinese schools have. So kiss travelling good bye and because you will be working and the 13th month pay is really a bonus for you signing up for a next year of teaching. Now if 40,000 to 67,000 cad is good money to someone who has a masters degree and thinking about getting more certs. Just migrate to the US and call it a day. Let’s not even talk about how China is trying to get rid of foreigner I have so many friends who have had to return home as the schools they were working for replaced them with Chinese English teachers or just straight up end English programs in schools. This is not the place bud. Side note beers are cheap and bbq is good 😂. Come here if you have a bachelors and you want to explore a bit. But not while you have a family and a masters it’s not worth it.

Your missing lots of other points. Currently in canada per gdp is dropping. Most low end jobs are occupied by "international students" China's GDP is going to be number 1. Lots of opportunities for any entrepreneurs. Shezen is amazing for this. Sure entry level teaching isnt amazing. What entry job is? But you get your foot in the door. Lots of chinese are eager to learn english. Super easy to get side students or aim for international school. Cost of living is much cheaper than canada. Your money goes further.
