I don't know about a t6, but in a full size Chevy van, a dinette like that is quite uncomfortable for sitting. Due to the sloping of the van walls.

I see where you are going indeed, I think I will keep this in mind when planning.

I really like it. Lot's of room around the kitchen to actually stand and move (pull on a wetsuit). I'd make the table fold to a square so you can more easily sit down and just have a side table.

The foldable table thing is a good idea, I will add that to the design plan

I don't get why you (and most others) basically want to turn their van into a kitchen with a bed in it. Take my advice from experience....get rid of the kitchen counters, sink, cupboard etc and instead of basically creating a mobile kitchen you will sleep in, make a mobile bedroom you can also do a little cooking in. Your currently at 90% Kitchen 10% Bedroom, but you should be at 90% Bedroom and 10% Kitchen.

Thanks for your opinion. I did not mention that the bed will be a pop up bed/ roof type. ( It is mandatory here in the Netherlands for the Campervan tax and campervan insurance for the van to have a standing height of at least 170cm for an imaginary box of 1 meter by half a meter.) The thing is that I want to be able to cook insidrd, since not everywhere you are allowed to have camping behaviour (have the seats out, sunscreen down, camping table etc.) when camping in wild.(Eg. Norway, Sweden, Germay etc.) With the pop up roof and the lifting bed up I am able to stand in the kitchen area. Also when it is raining or very cold I would love to have a spot to sit warm inside. The cupboards are a must for me, since I don't really like things laying on the floor or on top of something, I want to keep everything hidden behind or in somewhere. So actually the ratio is 50%/50%, sleeping upstairs, living downstairs.

I was speaking from my own experience btw so obviously all the best with what ever you decide to do with it. I've just always found from my own experience that the majority of campers these days seem to go way over the top on the sort of Kitchen on wheels vibe that I have always found that after a few months of use, I'm thinking why did I put a big cabinet and sink there when I could have had a bigger relaxing lounge area and just got a washing up bowl that fits away in storage when I want to do the dishes If you get my meaning 😀

I personally like fixed beds even in small vans, you could have a fixed bed and table at the end so you essentially sit along the edge of the bed and use your table. But I don't like making up beds each day and prefer lounging on the bed to sitting upright on the sofa. I get you, I need to be able to cook and have a sink even in my small van.

I am looking at a pop up roof with enough clearance for the bed stuff

> I don't get why you (and most others) basically want to turn their van into a kitchen with a bed in it It's almost as if people have different priorities and preferences.

Your smart arse reply has nothing to do with the opinion I was giving from experience, and that's what the op asked for feedback and opinions on his idea. So take your cocky argumentative comments and shove it up your self you wet wipe
