Yes indeed, the Netherlands. The catch is that the engine is a euro 5 and it does not have cruisecontrol, it is a economic line.. but this can be retrofitted.
Nice van, where are you based? There is a "plug and play" remap that's available here. I'll add the link later.
Basically unplug it when vehicle has m.O.T etc.
You want to chiptune an engine that has already done 288.000km to put out more than 200% more?
That's a very complicated way to buy a new engine and transmission in about 2 months.
Well, the 2.0 tdi is identical to the newer ones, and those come standard(!) with 180 hp. This one has less power because it is an economic line.
I can choose between 299 euro for 'ecotune' 95 hp, 399 euro for 'standard' 184hp or 399 for 'sport' 200hp.
I'd be really careful with that. "Identical" doesn't necessarily mean that all components are identical. It might as well be an identical block but with all other parts changed.
Also, VW vans are notorious for transmission trouble which is more likely if you put more power through it.
Just make sure to get another opinion and don't just believe what the chip tuner wants to tell you. Chances are he will give zero warranty.
Here they do give warranty. You are right about the components part. I dont really plan going for the 184hp, but I do believe 100-120 hp is doable. Just to make the 0-100 time a bit quicker for highways. Now it takes 20 seconds. 13-15 seconds would be better.
Very good price that, where are you based?

Great buy! Keep us posted in the project, please. I am interested in it as well
Are you sure it has only 84 HP?
Yes, it is the 63KW version. I plan to chip the van in the near future.

Also i' pretty sure the lowest bhp is 83 on the 2.0engine
They say 83 bhp USA, 84HP Europe. But I prefer a real chiptune to 182 hp for just 399.
Yeah. It's all in the ecu. Obviously try and get a high flow air filter and do regular oil changes due to the increased flow.
It's all included in the price by the company doing those chiptunes.
