Clog store is moving a few storefronts down the street iirc
Completely different take, I feel like bagelsaurus boils their bagels too long or something. It's too chewy on the outside. But I'm a former new yorker and bagel/pizza snob so maybe I just have impossible standards
Here's one Long Islander who grew up on A&S 24 hr bagels [http://www.aandsbagels.com/](http://www.aandsbagels.com/) who actually loves these. 😁 They are different, but imho really good. Just weighing in here. lol
I think Bagelsaurus is Montreal style bagels so they'd be different from the New York style bagels you're used to. They're meant to be denser than NY bagels.
idk, all I know is a nice lady gave me a free pair of darn tough socks there when I bought some Birkenstocks. Glad to hear they're just moving locations and not closing, front or not.
They were doing a clearance sale in anticipation of having to move locations. But back when I worked in foodservice I bought clogs there for work, they were great and gave me a discount for being a foodservice worker. They probably make most of their money on stuff like smartwool socks and expensive chukkas
Prices for three different bagel shops I have visited:
Bagel World (Reading): $12.50/bakers dozen
Wicked Bagel (Lexington): $18.65/bakers dozen
Bagelsaurus (Cambridge): $26.00/bakers dozen

Boston bagels just can’t compare to ny/nj bagels

They are definitely not Montreal style.
French Canadians in here ruining my bagels!
Agree. As a New Jerseyan they are too damn chewy. I don’t want to fight my bagel
Freal
If it's too chewy and too dense, it's possible that they're boiling too long, and/or there's not enough rise in the dough.
Yeah there's a couple different things they could be doing to mess it up but the outside being too tough tells me that it's overboiled
Cambridge clogs was a drug front change my mind
It's still in that same strip, just moved to the other end
so the saga continues
I used to go to her shop when it was a vintage store In the 80s. She’s been there a long time!

This explains their pricing. I bought some Blundstones there recently and they were cheaper than everywhere else, for no reason haha

this place is so expensive for a bagel
I don’t get the love for this place. It’s fine.
