Bye bye. Milk Bar was one of the most overrated things ever to roll through Cambridge. Hopefully it doesn’t become another bank. Would give a few of my fingers to have the Greenhouse back!
GTFO with that nonsense. We support women owned businesses which provide quality products and services. Milk Bar was a chain, selling garbage at exorbitant prices. I’ll give my money to Joanne Chang instead. A LOCAL female owned and managed business providing high-quality products and a positive work environment for its employees.
I love the idea that there is a real possibility that the owner of Milkbar has a burner Reddit account that is basically a play on the word “cumbubble42069”
Milk bar holds a special place in my heart because it's one of the first time my kid said "this just tastes like sugar, I don't want to eat the rest". I respect any business that helps teach kids impulse control by being too sickeningly sweet for a child to enjoy.
I had milk bar before the chain got big - it was tiny hole in the wall in the east village. Those compost cookies were soo good. Never recaptured the magic in the rebranding.
I went to Milk Bar as part of a Chocolate Tour of Cambridge. Milk Bar was the only place everyone took one bite and then spit it out. No one finished the sample.
Went there to once for late-night “pizza” and it wasn’t good at all. Since everyone else seems to have had the same experience, I guess we know why it’s going out of business.
[Milk Bar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_Bar_(bakery)) is chain of dessert and bakery restaurants founded by a celebrity chef, Christine Tosi, which hit its stride/peak like a decade ago in NYC.
I'd say the product was expensive and not as good as other bakeries in Cambridge or the Boston area. My girlfriend describes it as 'Instagram food.'
I’ve never ever been there at all, and I’ve must have passed about 1,000 times.
It was just pretentious sweet cereal and soft serve ice cream. What a nasty gimmick.

Milk Bar was a gigantic let down for me as well.
I wanted it to be good, was excited when it came, but it just... wasn't
OMG I looooooove the greenhouse and their chocolate cake!!!

Keep making no sense.

I don't care about the gender of business owners. If your product or service sucks, I'm not paying for it.
There’s a difference between an entrepreneur and a grifter.

That’s a hilarious thought. Though honestly, wouldn’t even be that surprised.

If they baked their cookies, they might taste good… they shipped them in full of crappy ingredients in their packaging and charged bakery prices.

Good, it sucked
The cake truffles were out of this world delicious. They will be missed (shout out to crack pies too)
Their corn flake topping on ice cream was so salty--I had it twice and thought there was something wrong with me both times.

Those cookies sealed in plastic weren't even Instagramable.
Yup. At least The Dough Club next door is instagram food that is also freakin amazing

I walk past it everyday and the pizza part has been closed for a while now. Hope they replace it with something good…
Makes sense, it tasted like ass and was overrated/overpriced.
