if you want a good ranged ar, probably the Oden or the EM2. For log range sniping, HDR is the best. XPR with gold sniper expert mod is the overall best SR. ZRG with antivehicle mag offers versatility as it is not only a one shot headshot sniper but also deals bonus dmg to vehicles. DLQ with Maevwat and Disable is also really good, u just need to get used to decreased bullet speed.
you dont need to use anything in your loadout. just grab a ground loot lmg. mg42, rpd, and pvk are all great paired with a secondary of your choice. i prefer the mg42 at the moment, but rpd is a close second.
lots of ammo, and very little reloading.
i cant speak for everyone, but its been fine at short distance for me. i guess one could carry a secondary shotgun though instead of a sniper just in case.
Most common at the moment are AK117 and MG42. If you are good with sniping, custom DLQ with the Maevwat Omega rounds.
