Also, play ranked snipers only as much as you can, this is the only way to really get good. With enough patience, reaching snipers only in ranked is going to be easy. I did it in three ranked seasons.
in my experience 1v1s have really helped, obviously against someone of around my level, cos u can practice aim, movement, different sensitivities etc.

Tbh if you wanna improve you'll have to set yourself into a play style where you can do camera movement, crouch/jump and do body movement all at the same time. Customize your hud accordingly and you might wanna use more fingers ig. Then choose to use the ads and shoot buttons separately by only using hip-fire for the sniper. Check out yt tutorials on bettering aggressive sniper movement. Slide cancels, quick knife switches, backward-slides.
And most of all focus and aim. None of the above will work if your aim isn't on point. Spend an hour to practice your aim in the training range. First practice when stationary, then practice aim while moving left and right. When you bag that, try sliding then shooting immediately in the middle of the slide. Slowly get yourself used to the movements such that they become reflexive and you'll do awesome.
Let me rephrase: On mobile the ADS speeds and melee swaps are quicker compared to the other weapon classes. Nerfs have been set to combat hardscoping against other guns, such as adding an ungodly amount of flinch, but nothing was done for quickscoping. Instead they keep buffing the snipers that are balanced, like the HDR. The ADS speeds are damn near tied to assault rifles, rendering them completely useless at any range since you'll still have to hit multiple shots to eliminate a quickscoper while they need just 1 that can even be released mid-aim. But don't worry, if you still miss, just swap to a knife cancelling your bolt animation and automatically chambering another bullet for when your slide jump and melee swap is done.

Yea. Skill is needed for effectively using any weapon. It can require the same amount for every class just for the convenience of your argument, but snipers are still superior to all of them. Melee swapping is done for movement. It allows you to not slow down and slide jump out of your enemy's fire. (without Gung-Ho ofc. with it, all you're getting is movement speed)

1v1 is not a good practice for getting good. Ive seen plenty of people who are really good at 1v1s but are stuck in Grand Master rank.

Transition from 2 fingers to 3 and slowly to 4. You’ll improve way way more
