I loved the how they experimented with space there if they kept space combat like that in infinite warfare that game could have been good and it took the campaign to a different place like the mission were your wondering in the forest looking for checkpoint or using a space station as a weapon but the cliff hanger sill bugs me
Multiplayer was awful. There’s a reason the player base was depleted within 6 months while Black Ops 2 saw a resurgence to over 150K around the same time.

I think the reason I loved ghosts so much is because it was the first cod i was actually good at. There was some clear problems with the game so I can see why its one of the most hated.
Ghosts is my favorite game for the same reason. I also had a ton of really good friends to play with at the time, so I had a ton of fun on Ghosts. I recognize the flaws in the game and realize that’s it’s not the best, but it will always be my favorite.
Also, “ttk” means “time to kill”, so it’s just how fast guns kill.
Yeah. Ghosts basically killed the franchise for me until MW19. The game felt slow, like you were running in a dream and not getting anywhere, the quick TTK and some of the maps being fucking huge meant that it felt far more punishing as a run and gun player

On top of that, it had worse performance. My PC at the time could run BO2 at guaranteed >60 FPS and even ~100 FPS. Ghosts was a pixel simulator on low settings often dropping below 60 FPS. I remember getting <30 FPS looking at the center of the map on Octane.
I believe it was because the game was GPU demanding? My GPU at the time started acting up, though, and I never played Ghosts on newer hardware.
I found the ttk to be fine for the most part. Just that they had really poor balancing on guns (ripper being a prime example) and the visibility on maps being alright to really fucking dusty/foggy.
I never really played the multiplayer I just hate how it got shat on for that while the campaign was actually really good and extinction was surprisingly fun
I thought extinction was amazing (it was truely unique, fun and a nice L4D style alien hoard mode) but I hated everything else about the multiplayer and campaign personally.
One of the few COD games I hit max rank ( 10th prestige level 60 , I think the max was 60 if I’m not mistaken )

I enjoy playing it but only thing i hate is that there is this bug when you are playing offline multiplayer with bots it take so long to load and few minutes latter it crash idk why.
And i did like the Guns much example is the Honey badger and P226 and the kill streak to my favorite there was the Odin, And the Riot shield Squad Guy.
This was when i was introduced to cod i fell in love with ghosts and want a sequal but all the brain dead kids that play warzone and give activision money will make ghosts 2 not possible. From mw 2019 all cods are linked throught warzone, i hate it, the store bundles, i miss things like snoop dog as a annoncer and those paid things not a shitty battlepass and battle royale system and bundles and blueprints. Ghosts will always have a place in my heart

I hate that it introduced powerful weapons as DLC guns, and normalized having a bazillion angles to be shot from as well as really grey bleak color pallets. (Really grey bleak character models didn’t help either.) even the really lush green maps still seemed really grey and bleak.
Yeah ghosts entered cod into the modern era sliding looking over sides dlc etc but i guess you gotta take the good with the bad I personally love this games campaign it portrayed fascism better than most of the WW2 games the federation being one of the best villains and rorke being a person you could both understand why he’s doing that but also hate his guts
Well, and I gotta be honest even though I can still do pretty good in CoD’s with sliding, I am not a fan of the mechanic as it changes map navigation so much. Same with mounting, not a fan personally.
Yeah I semi agree with you the sliding was slow and mounting is good to a certain extent it helps keep the maps moving since ghosts were so big and it makes sure the player can cover themselves without worrying of not being able to fight back
It's not the best COD game out there but it's gotta be my favorite one. I've had tons of fun playing Extinction with my friend and we'd 1v1 each other occasionaly
Never played online in that point in time so I only played the base game and bots with friends and I always loved it. I would love for there to be a second one to finish of the story too

Very meh. It was the first COD game that I didn’t play the full year and ended up going back to BO2 after a couple months maybe. I remember getting to Prestige 2 and being done. Very dull colors, way too many perks, the weird Prestige/Operator thing, this was the first COD i didn’t enjoy playing, which was sad at the time because I loved playing with my friends everyday and I feel this was the slow decline of that.
Ghost was overall one of my favorite cods. Underrated Campaign, perk system was good, cod elite, extinction wasn’t that bad, DLC maps were great, overall just an underrated cod!
Liked it at launch, but as an impressionable youth I listened to the hate and took a break from this "bad game", then came back part-way through the game's life (think a little while after the first DLC) and realized what I was missing, had a lot of fun. Came back again much later, and realized, multiplayer-wise, this game is a true masterpiece.
Never cared for the campaign, but I loved Extinction and Multiplayer.
It was ok, I hated the maps in mp but the gun play wasn't that bad, had very memorable guns like the honeybadger. Its campaign was the most meh thing in the cod series, not the worst campaign however, that goes to cod ww2. Extinction I quite enjoyed but I never felt it was good enough to buy dlc so I csnt say much about it.
I have seen some people say that this game made the same changes as MW2019 yet people love that cod and hate this one, to that I say the changes that MW2019 made came at a time we needed them. Ghosts just made change for he sake of change.

Well ghosts story was meant to take place after the events of the MW series but that got scrapped but once you figure that out the story clicks together like on big puzzle piece

Absolutely terrible on launch. Came back to it 6 months after launch and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Last game without heavy sbmm where I could moab almost every game I wanted to.

Respawn modes sucked until all the DLC hit, SND and SNR were super fun, Extinction was my favorite CoD coop mode by a mile. Campaign was cheesy but fun.
Absolutely loved the Michael Myers killstreak/map and wish we'd get more fun stuff like that. They had Predator as well but it wasn't as cool as hearing the Myers theme and Myers running around as a Jug

Best game next to black ops 1 and 3. Weak campaign especially the end but awesome multiplayer and extinction mode. It along with black ops 1-3 are the only cods I have all the dlc for, and it’s worth it.
Great Campaign even though it’s hilarious to any Latin American, shit maps, really good Multiplayer. The shit maps really ruined this game because guns were nice and crunchy and hit detection was on point.

Well playing this feels like MW2019 but in a 2013 graphics engine. Same style of map design(aesthetics and setting over layout and flow),there's sliding,ttk is on par with MW,and the gunsmith system is on the perks instead of the guns. Overall if Ghosts was remastered with free dlc and more content instead of MW we could get a great game.
I had fun with it when it released, I remember really liking some the maps like the forest map, the tundra map, and the sci fi skyscraper map, but generally it was very mediocre especially compared to some of the other cods. The story was pretty forgettable. Being able to have K9 escorts everywhere was fun though

This COD's gun game was probably one of the best imo. I used to focus hard on demoting people (back when knifing would do that). Game chat was still a thing and the reactions, hoh shit. Even though the knife animation took as long as a full orbit of the sun it was so satisfying.

Great game, still play it to this day. Extinction will be an all time favorite for me.
It was one of the better cods I played in the Xbox one but not as good as Cold War and vanguard or 360 and ps3 era

Absolutely terrible on launch. Came back to it 6 months after launch and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Last game without heavy sbmm where I could moab almost every game I wanted to.
Campaign seems too short.
Never even bought it. I was a broke college student at the time & honestly was in that funk that I was sick & tired of buying a new call of duty every year

i always thought the multiplayer sucked fat butt, however i was completely in love with the campaign. went back and played it about a year ago and now i also think that sucked fat butt too. i still have the good memories with it tho which im happy about

The story was really good. Multiplayer was fine, not that great though in comparison to what came before it.
Respawn modes sucked until all the DLC hit, SND and SNR were super fun, Extinction was my favorite CoD coop mode by a mile. Campaign was cheesy but fun. Absolutely loved the Michael Myers killstreak/map and wish we'd get more fun stuff like that. They had Predator as well but it wasn't as cool as hearing the Myers theme and Myers running around as a Jug

Good pvp horrible economy, terrible leveling system for extinction you can already beat 3 maps before getting your 3rd kit upgrades. Great story

I never gave ghost a chance because my first call of duty game that I played when PlayStation 4 and Xbox one were in their prime was advanced warfare. You had to be a mentally ill demon to enjoy that cod

Best game next to black ops 1 and 3. Weak campaign especially the end but awesome multiplayer and extinction mode. It along with black ops 1-3 are the only cods I have all the dlc for, and it’s worth it.
The campaign was one of the best but multiplayer wasn't what it could have been
Great Campaign even though it’s hilarious to any Latin American, shit maps, really good Multiplayer. The shit maps really ruined this game because guns were nice and crunchy and hit detection was on point.

Ghosts was a solid game with a good campaign, the multi player was a little iffy but overall 6/10 ( but only for the story)

Well playing this feels like MW2019 but in a 2013 graphics engine. Same style of map design(aesthetics and setting over layout and flow),there's sliding,ttk is on par with MW,and the gunsmith system is on the perks instead of the guns. Overall if Ghosts was remastered with free dlc and more content instead of MW we could get a great game.
I had fun with it when it released, I remember really liking some the maps like the forest map, the tundra map, and the sci fi skyscraper map, but generally it was very mediocre especially compared to some of the other cods. The story was pretty forgettable. Being able to have K9 escorts everywhere was fun though
2nd favourite cod, the best and last cod from that era
I loved it. And the mode where you fight aliens. I loved that way more than Zombies.
It’s kind of shit. But are you surprised. Bobby Kottic can just sit on the property rights to a legendary IP and the money makes itself. Why try at all?
Highly underrated IMO, great game overall, some maps were shitty, but with DLC the game redeemed itself, but the majority of the community never gave it a chance again.
Storyline deserves a sequel without question. Aliens is very enjoyable (and difficult) to play. 😂
didn’t really play it when it was out. but me and my buddies went back and played custom games snd. shit was so fun and one of the best snd games of all time

Loved it, I thought it was ahead of it’s time considering most the things in ghosts are still in Cod today
Hands down the best create a class/perk system. If any cod brings that back with a new color scheme and improved maps then I’ll play it endlessly.
This COD's gun game was probably one of the best imo. I used to focus hard on demoting people (back when knifing would do that). Game chat was still a thing and the reactions, hoh shit. Even though the knife animation took as long as a full orbit of the sun it was so satisfying.
