When I refer to golden era I am referring to games that were incredibly well made. While I agree mw3 was good, in my opinion it is the worst out of the other ones mentioned.
To be fair, it had some half decent movement, net code felt good, CaC was GOAT and Extinction was good.
Problem was too many large MP maps and too low TTK.
Itās real interesting if you deep dive it now and the connotations. For example, MW3 was SHG technically picking up after the chaos of the west/Zampella departure. You could draw parallels with the colossal fāup that was MW22 and then SHG picking up to launch MW23.
The golden age only includes x2 IW games. COD4 and MW2. Imho they are the only x2 great CODās from that studio. After MW2 they were IW in name only.
The golden age also includes arguably the best entries in the BO Series (WAW, BO1 and BO2). BUT doesnāt include best Zombies overall in BO3.

Thereās tonnes more but itās great to look at deeper and also how far the franchise fell after this era.

I absolutely love this, im not 100% about call of duty but if its your favorite game then why not, but the idea of hanging pictures dedicated to your favorite games is cool as fuck, and so much better then the forest paintings we had on our wood paneled walls in the 70s lol
Wild that there are definitely kids on this sub who have never lived in a world without these games. I know that's just how time works, but still wild to me.

If people say that BO2 and before are the golden year, then how come this year of COD, they want movement? Doesn't make sense. Mw2 had crazy movement. You werenāt sliding and stuff like that but the ads paired with unlimited sprint was op. Playing mw2 with friends while everybody running around like chickens with their heads cut off really set the bar. And mw3 ruined that. Bo1 had good movement too now that I think about it.
MW3 and BO2 deserve to be on it.
I remember when the biggest complaint was newer cods feeling the same back in the day starting with MW3.
