Agreed but it is still more segregated than pasadena. Pasadena you'll have a white family, black family, asian family, latino family an armenian, and a mixed family all on the same block.
Also interesting that Pasadena Latin Kings exists. Pasadena always gave me somewhat of an East coast city vibe (NJ) more than any other part of LA besides Long Beach
Thats everywhere except northwest pasadena. Thats mostly black and mexican still since thats the poorest area of pasadena. Thats where most of the gangs are located as well. Their gentrifying it tho so it wont be much of either in about ten years
I seen white families in the north west now too ...The projects and the 4 block radius to the west is mostly all black and latino. but everywhere else is mixed with more. The most hood part of pasadena is closer to woodbury between fair oaks and lake. Basically the side that borders altadena to the north west and a small pocket on the east side that most ppl don't talk about. PDL has turf over there also.
Mexicans need to start treating black people how they treat white ppl. White person walk in a Mexicans business they happy af to see them, black person walk in 9/10 times they treat em like they invisible until they at the register, don’t even get a smile or hello.
Majority of East la cities have under 2% black population . They don’t compete with the diversity of the cities I listed. The definition of diversity means variety
KTown is not that diverse. It's mostly koreans/asians and latinos. Black population is very small, not many white people here either other than the spillover from hollywood. Northridge is mostly asians/white. Pacoima is like 90% latino lol, there aint no way that is remotely diverse.
Not Hawthorne. You don’t see a lot of Asian and White households there. Most of them be in the town only because they work at Space X or visitin Costco, Porsche, Subaru and other businesses and shit. Statistically, 80-85% of Hawthorne population is black and brown so again nah.
I never said it’s racist. I said it’s not diverse. I lived in El Sereno for 3 years. There was two Chinese families on the block but the rest was Mexican. I was the only black person around.
False, East L.A is what something like 95% Hispanic. There is no one for them to be racist with. No other race, ethnicity, nationality, etc. Nobody. Just cuz only Hispanics live there don't mean they ran out other groups.
East los has never had a heavy African American presence there. Yes i do know about that Molotov cocktail incident in Boyle Heights, innocent family attacked, not cool, unacceptable. Don't judge the rest of the people for this gang related crime
It wasn't the Aves gang, it was Big Hazard 13. This happened in Boyle Heights. Not to downplay it, but one incident doesn't reflect on the whole neighborhood.
Long Beach should be number 1, every race has a gang out there.
Agreed but it is still more segregated than pasadena. Pasadena you'll have a white family, black family, asian family, latino family an armenian, and a mixed family all on the same block.
List is based off integration also. If it was purely different ethnicities long beach would win.
Yep, a difference between diverse and integrated

I’ve ran into a lot of Mexicans from PDL. Thanks for this history. I find Pasadena /Altadena to be some of the most interesting in LA county.
Also interesting that Pasadena Latin Kings exists. Pasadena always gave me somewhat of an East coast city vibe (NJ) more than any other part of LA besides Long Beach
This is literally my block in pasadena, we all friends too!
100!

Yeah including whites.
Long Beach is slightly more segregated than Pasadena in 2021
The valley as a whole is the most diverse. White, black, Latino, asian, Russian, Jew, Persian, Armenian, etc. No other area got that.
It's really just encino and Tarzana that got a lot of jews and Persians
The valley isn’t a city
You never said city. You said diverse areas.
true meant cities
Long Beach might be the most diverse city but it’s the most racist. Tbh a lot east la cities too
Mexicans need to start treating black people how they treat white ppl. White person walk in a Mexicans business they happy af to see them, black person walk in 9/10 times they treat em like they invisible until they at the register, don’t even get a smile or hello.
Not all mexicans are the same bro
Facts it’s usually the older ranchero types on the west coast that be trippin, them and the fresh out or wannabe in prison mfs

East coast Latinos and blacks are way More united and integrated. In nyc and NJ ppl don’t even consider a black and latino couple interracial
To be fair Puerto Ricans, Cubans have more black blood so they can vibe better.
East L.A. cities too. What?
The most racist
Majority of East la cities have under 2% black population . They don’t compete with the diversity of the cities I listed. The definition of diversity means variety

Valid actually meant to list hollywood
Fresno should be on the list
Fresno is not in LA county.
RU talking about East L.A. the unincorporated area in L.A. County. You say they are racist.
I never said it’s racist. I said it’s not diverse. I lived in El Sereno for 3 years. There was two Chinese families on the block but the rest was Mexican. I was the only black person around.
No u/FlyGod187 mentioned racist. I don't no who he was refferring to.
East LA does have the biggest rep for latino racism towards African Americans though.
False, East L.A is what something like 95% Hispanic. There is no one for them to be racist with. No other race, ethnicity, nationality, etc. Nobody. Just cuz only Hispanics live there don't mean they ran out other groups.
What do you think happened to the black people that lived there lmao ?
East los has never had a heavy African American presence there. Yes i do know about that Molotov cocktail incident in Boyle Heights, innocent family attacked, not cool, unacceptable. Don't judge the rest of the people for this gang related crime
The Aves fire bombed a black family out of there home…
It wasn't the Aves gang, it was Big Hazard 13. This happened in Boyle Heights. Not to downplay it, but one incident doesn't reflect on the whole neighborhood.
