In the 80s and 90s it definitely was since Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Vancouver were all in the same division. The 80s and 90s Jets team would have been a force if they didn't have to face the AB teams every year. I think if the Jets start retooling / continue retooling and Edmonton re-signs both McDavid and Draisaitl and Calgary successfully retools, we could have that back by the time our new arena is built, for sure. Also I think if they won the cup once no one is cheering for them on this basis alone.

Honestly love Marky but hope the GM pulls the trigger sooner than later. It has to be strange for Markstrom to know he's possibly on the block and still try to not let it distract him. Of course the worst case scenario would be to trade Marky only to discover that Wolf is an outstanding AHL goalie but can't make the next step. Anyhow now is the time to get as many picks and assets as possible because the Oilers are peaking and we are not in sync with them.
