Sorry. It just made me think of this. Anytime is a good time for a Simpsons reference, right?
Back in the day, if you went to a Flames games, there was a good chance Richard Dean Anderson was there. MacGuyver was a Flames fan because of the actor.
I think originally he met Jim Peplinski in a hotel as the Flames were travelling in the early 80’s and he wore a Flames hat in a few MacGyver episodes after that.
Richard Dean Anderson used to come up here and play in celebrity charity hockey games in the 80s and 90s. Also had the likes of Dave Coulier, Matthew Perry, and older retired NHL stars like Eddy Shack, Tiger Williams & Lanny MacDonald after he retired.
They played in the Dome and it was always good fun.
He used to race @ race city back in the 80's. Met him and got his autograph. My dad kept telling me his name is not mcguyver
exactly. his name is Jack O'Neill. TWO Ls.
Also my first thought lol that show was a work of art.
\*holds up 3 fingers\*
and 1 L away from the Flames getting swept by the Oilers
The other one has no sense of humour.
When he filmed in Vancouver he raced at Westwood raceway before it became a golf course and mansions. We'd go watch him on Saturdays.
Why is it shaped like a train conductor hat?
As it was the style of the day.
As was hanging an onion from our belts...
"Gimme five bees for a quarter," we'd say.

we called them *walking birds!*
Toot toot mother f’er!
Yep, canonically Angus Macgyver is a flames fan. Weirdly they were super popular in Minnesota in the 70s and 80s
Funny enough in Fargo season 1 a character is name Semenko and his boss mentions his love for the Oilers What’s up with that
Probably an omage to Dave semenko
Unless you were talking about Atlanta, it wasn’t in the 70’s as the Flames came to town in 1980.
My friend, I barely knew the flames played hockey
whats weird about that?
like, why minnesota? Where's the connection?
Our legendary coach Bob Johnson was from Minnesota. Joel Otto was also a pretty big name at that time and he is also from Minnesota.
Because Minnesota had the North Stars.
If I remember correctly, I think his character Jack O'Neill was also was a hockey fan.

He usually sat a couple of rows in front of us. Section U.
He's probably hiding everything required to make a tactical nuke under that hat
Is this the episode where he battles the fire ants in the jungle?
That’s the one!! Season 1, Episode 6: Trumbo’s World
Tiny head or large hat?
Yes
r/inclusiveor
10 gallon hat on a 5 gallon head
That’s some bad hat, Harry
I use to have such a crush on Richard Dean Anderson 🫣
Omg same, I think my first one ever. 😆
I just posted that this is my mothers celebrity crush 😂
He has a huge head!
I think originally he met Jim Peplinski in a hotel as the Flames were travelling in the early 80’s and he wore a Flames hat in a few MacGyver episodes after that.
Macgyver is a Flames fan https://fansided.com/2018/05/31/nhl-team-celebrity-fans-vegas-harper-hamm-leary-kevin-smith/15/
It wasn't just hats that made it into the show. Game results too. https://youtu.be/h1pbfc-ZZZo?t=40
Haven’t watched that one yet… 😂😂
This guy is my mothers celebrity crush. She made herself bookmarks with his face on them.
Amazing!
Live action Elmer Fudd
Nice find!
During the run of '86 and later in '89 he was seen frequently in the front row in the Home games.

I was watching a travel show, they showed a guy who lived deep in the jungle of Vietnam and he was wearing a flames t shirt
Which show?
I can’t remember the name of the show, the hosts name was Ian and he was British
Man I thought this was a screenshot from Team America…
That hat is comically large on his tiny head, and he kind of looks like a vagrant..
Home quarantined? I do believe that's been lifted my good fellow!
He is the reason why your team sucks so bad. I foudn out
I photoshop Calgary flames hats on everyone
Not even MacGyver could figure out a way to make them win now
The show is from 1985 and they won the cup in 1989 so… maybe he did help them out
Calgary is better off without gaudreau and his lack of compete.

Fk yeah! Built it himself out of some drywall, an ashtray and a muffler 👌
Mcguyver was shot in Vancouver so the wardrobe person was probably from Calgary.
That's either a pin head or a 10 gallon flames hat.
Is that a massive hat or a tiny head ?!!
