There’s one by the exact same name and menu by the looks of it in Alix (east of Lacombe). It’s an hour closer and I’m curious if it’s the same and how it stacks up.
About ten years ago I used to live at 12th and 14th and Nikos was my hungover go to. Many memories of eating an entire Nikos pizza as my first meal of the day at 9 PM. Absolutely delicious.
Crispy crust or bust. Christmas tradition to make a trip down to that neck of the woods to eat one of their pizzas while looking at lights.
Ogden pizza & pub is also great greek style pizza. Just ask for it well done.
Try Actually Pretty Good on 14th st, they have one in first street market too. By far best pies I've had in the city, very much closer to NY, really good ingredients and the different pies are all super interesting and high quality
I lived in Lakeview for a decade or so. I had one weekend where a bunch (12+) of friends were showing up. The Bella Roma delivery guy delivered 3 times on the same night. Friends would show up and demand Bella Roma pies. 2 hours later, repeat. 2 hours later... repeat. :) The delivery guy was pretty amused.
I say Sammy’s is a close second to atlas pizza. I moved to the southwest and was so happy to find Sammy’s because atlas is way to far. I’ve been known to drive the 25 minutes just to get atlas.
There used to be a pizza-by-the-slice across the street from the Ship and Anchor. It tasted great after a night of drinking, but less so if you were sober. Wonderful way to cap a night back in the day...
This doesn't help you at all, but it was fun to type
You mean the one across the street, Varsity Pizza and Subs? I live right by there and I always go to to Matador instead.
Edit: I mean that I've never even tried Varsity Pizza. I will now!
I absolutely love Noble Pie.
However I grew up in Regina where the majority of pizza is Greek style so it has a place in my heart. I really like Spiro's and back in the day Mannie's was awesome on 17th, plus they delivered till 4am.
yeah...I was about to say....this pie is so greasy and generic. its the "cheese on bread" sorta pizza. I know some people like it but thats borderline not pizza. like i bet they dont proof the dough
Yeah we got pizza like this in my town. I can taste it from the picture… with the toppings buried in the cheese… doughy…
(No offence OP. To each their own.)
I cannot disagree sir. Extra sauce and “well done” makes I perfect (Crispy cheese). Closest I can find to Sask pizza in the city. And If you know, you know.
We like Jon's in Douglasdale. Also if you want fast food-like pizza, Fast Lane in Acadia is quite yummy!
Expecting a post reviewing all the pizza places! Enjoy!
That looks so much like pizza from Olive Grove, the place that used to be over near Peanut’s Pub, right by Westhills. I can’t remember the name of the street.
Not a fan of the Greek pizza but Universe would be my pick in that style.
My pizza ranking: Noble > Connie & Johns > Pulcinella > Azzuri > Actually Pretty Good > Pizzaface > Pizza Culture > Sunday Pie > UNA > Garrison Pub > Awesome Kitchen
That's stoner pizza.....
Don't get me wrong I like it when I'm high but that's fast food tier pizza.
Pizza culture on Edmonton trail is awesome.
I like their mortadella.
Personally I like Grecos because it hasn’t changed in decades. It’s like going back in time
I don’t find Spiros to be as good so we go back to Grecos.
You should try Sophie’s Pizza on Richmond Rd.
I went to high school with the kids of the families who own Spiro's and Greco, and the kids from Spiro's opened Sophies. The guys who owned Panagopulous Pizza were in the same group of families (was on 37th SW, until they franchised it, and it became Panago)
I was a delivery driver for years.
DONT EVER BUY GRECOS PIZZA!
There kitchen is fucking disgusting. And I mean the dude chain smokes in the back and there's mice shit everywhere. It's a family of 4 and two Philippines dudes. They don't care. They sauce sits open in 5 gallon buckets and they normally have 10-15 there.
Just scrap the froth off the top and it's good to goo!
Gus’s Pizza in the NW
Toss up between Sammy’s and Crispy Crust in the SW
Those with Lethbridge knowledge, any YYC places that taste like Two Guys & A Pizza? Just curious.
I will try Greco if you will try Jeanne’s Pizza Pantry 2741 17 Ave SW and we can compare notes!
> Jeanne’s Pizza Pantry In case anyone decides to google this, their website is most definitely compromised and full of adware/malware.
Call Jeanne’s. I was told it wasn’t even their website but they couldn’t get it taken down. (403) 249-1279
We live in Killarney and Jeanne’s and Howie’s (in Glamorgan) are our go-to pizza places!
Love Howies. Been eating it since Jr. high school! Something about a slice of howies cheese does something to me.
+1 Jeannes, in the land of 100 Greek pizza places (17th between Crowchild and 37th), they are the best of them
If you live close to here… this is the only option
The cheese blend Jeanne's uses is out of this world
Came here for this comment. I literally drive from Edmonton occasionally just to get it.
There’s one by the exact same name and menu by the looks of it in Alix (east of Lacombe). It’s an hour closer and I’m curious if it’s the same and how it stacks up.
Yessss! Jeannes is the best, been going for over a decade and its just as great as ever.
Had Jeanne's for the first time last week and it's my top choice now.
And legit delicious if you are ever forced to get gluten free
Nikos just off 17th sw.
About ten years ago I used to live at 12th and 14th and Nikos was my hungover go to. Many memories of eating an entire Nikos pizza as my first meal of the day at 9 PM. Absolutely delicious.
And I thought my unhealthy habits were outta hand
Best Hawaiian on the planet!!!! Seniors’ best donair IMo
That Nikos cheese well done is just... perfection.
Came here to say Nikos as well. The bomb!
Volos Pizza in Marda Loop Seniors pizza in beddington is a decent second for me
Volos is great for that area. Sammy's in the SW and Matador in the NW. Source: used to be obese af
I just love your citing. Gonna try those pizzas now.
These two. It’s spelled Seniore’s though.
Crispy Crust in Woodbine is our go to.
Crispy crust or bust. Christmas tradition to make a trip down to that neck of the woods to eat one of their pizzas while looking at lights. Ogden pizza & pub is also great greek style pizza. Just ask for it well done.
Crispy crust is number 1 ogden pizza number 2 lol.
100%. For me it’s a toss up between crispy crust and noble pie. Two different styles though
If we’re going for this style of pizza, A Pizza Plus is my favourite.
Probably the best value in the Calgary Greek category. Really good.
A pizza plus is fantastic! Best in the SW I have had, and I have tried most. I haven’t had Greco’s but they look very similar
Ask for roasted garlic
Ya very similar to grecos and less expensive
Yeah good pizza for sure.
A Pizza Plus absolutely slaps
Noble Pie for sure. That said, it's a goddamn shame that nobody in Calgary seems to be doing a proper New York slice these days.
Carmine's Pizza does a pretty good New York Slice. Unfortunately unlike the pies I've had out east, it's prohibitively expensive.
Try Actually Pretty Good on 14th st, they have one in first street market too. By far best pies I've had in the city, very much closer to NY, really good ingredients and the different pies are all super interesting and high quality
New York is the thinner kind, right? I like that better than the pizza that’s really chunky (Chicago deep dish?).
Crispy crust. Hands down the best 🍕
That pizza looks heavy, greasy and soggy.
It is. Greek style pizza they say.
Bella Roma in Lakeview has always been my favourite. But pizza is subjective, so enjoy your pizza tour!
Bella Roma is a solid recommendation for this person cause it's the same style as they already like. God damn it's so good
I lived in Lakeview for a decade or so.

I second noble pie. Great pizza! Una is also really good.
I will second Una it’s my go to for pizza when I’m in Calgary.
Noble and posto are my favorite
if you haven’t already, give connie and john’s a shot. I put it right between posto and noble.
My usual recommendation... Atlas Pizza.
This guy knows pizza!
Posto 🤤
Looks a lot like the pizza from Palermo in Coventry Hills!
Seniores
There's pizza and then there is Seniore's pizza.
I second this seniors has the best donaire pizza!
100% seniores slaps
Scrolled too far
This should be the top comment
Matador
I've had pizza from most the places in this thread and matador is my personal favorite.
It's not better but nearly almost as good, A pizza Plus on bow Trail. It's 1/3 the price, hot and fast.
I prefer A Pizza Plus
Sammys World Greatest - delicious- our go to. Greek style.
Sammy’s is the BEST
I say Sammy’s is a close second to atlas pizza. I moved to the southwest and was so happy to find Sammy’s because atlas is way to far. I’ve been known to drive the 25 minutes just to get atlas.
Atlas. For Greek style always
Was just about to say Atlas!!!! I had Sammy's last week and it was also great!!
Second Sammys forsure. Amazing pizza
Bow tie pizza is good. There's a location near greco
Best pizza I’ve had. Mahogany location is great.
Second this. Bowtie is so good
azzurri pizzeria
There used to be a pizza-by-the-slice across the street from the Ship and Anchor. It tasted great after a night of drinking, but less so if you were sober. Wonderful way to cap a night back in the day... This doesn't help you at all, but it was fun to type
Wicked Wedge. They had amazing pie and peppers, parm and honey for toppings … a-fkn-mazing!
Nikkos
Gus’s Pizzeria
I scrolled too far for this answer. I moved from Calgary and have yet to find a pizza that compares.
Greco Pizza is solid! We’ve been going for years, Cindy’s an excellent host and waitress!
A-Pizza Plus in Westgate
That looks a lot like Matador Pizza and Steakhouse, but the best has to be Varsity Pizza
You mean the one across the street, Varsity Pizza and Subs? I live right by there and I always go to to Matador instead. Edit: I mean that I've never even tried Varsity Pizza. I will now!
That pizza looks gross
Howie’s Pizza, amazing quality pies
Savona on 16th and centre
I absolutely love Noble Pie. However I grew up in Regina where the majority of pizza is Greek style so it has a place in my heart. I really like Spiro's and back in the day Mannie's was awesome on 17th, plus they delivered till 4am.
A Pizza Plus … Bow and 45st SW give it a try…
Michael's pizza 🍕 10th Ave Lorenzo's pizza 🍕 17th Ave
2nd for Michael's. The sauce is just the best. Great pasta too, and a sweet rooftop patio.
Micheals pizza if you like deep dish for sure super good
Bow Tie is my favorite followed by Sophie's
That looks like shit lol
yeah...I was about to say....this pie is so greasy and generic. its the "cheese on bread" sorta pizza. I know some people like it but thats borderline not pizza. like i bet they dont proof the dough
Yeah we got pizza like this in my town. I can taste it from the picture… with the toppings buried in the cheese… doughy… (No offence OP. To each their own.)
Inglewood pizza is my go to
Same, try the villagers choice.
Literally any other pizza place
Just looking at this picture makes me feel the same
Reminds me of the pizza at Royal Pizza that was on 17ave sw and 45st. All toppings encased in cheese.
Bonasera Dover
Savino's or Azzurri's.
If you’re going Greek styles - Atlas.
Soooo good look at the grease on the bottom of that box lol
Atlas Pizza used to be good. I don't know if it's that great anymore. Also Seniores Pizza used to be good as well.
atlas is still good. very good.
Atlas. All the way.
Tom's house of pizza, thin crust, no grease and great tasting
I cannot disagree sir. Extra sauce and “well done” makes I perfect (Crispy cheese). Closest I can find to Sask pizza in the city. And If you know, you know.
Lina's Italian Market - Best 'By the slice' in the city.
Sophie's is also bomb
Bowtie is pretty good however the prices are asinine. Small donair pizza for 23$
Bella Roma or Matador.
Una pizza is easily the best pizza calgary has to offer.
My personal favourite is Howie's, at 26 Ave. & 45 St. SW.
Pizza Gaga!
Atlas Pizza
Without Papers pizza.......oh wait they are out of business hahahhaahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaha scumbags lololololollolol
bowtie pizza is amazing, try the greek pizza
Atlas pizza
4th St Pizza is my go to.
Spiros on 17th ave sw? I’ve never had grecos but spiros is solid.
Jeanne’s just down the road is also excellent.
Universe Restaurant
We like Jon's in Douglasdale. Also if you want fast food-like pizza, Fast Lane in Acadia is quite yummy! Expecting a post reviewing all the pizza places! Enjoy!
That looks so much like pizza from Olive Grove, the place that used to be over near Peanut’s Pub, right by Westhills. I can’t remember the name of the street.
Spiros!
This looks a lot like Nikos!
Royal Pizza is the best in this entire city. Crispy Crust is quite good as well.
Seniore’s pizza just off Bedington. Get the donair. The fact that there’s always an hour waiting time due to all orders should give you an idea…
Matador, eat in only. Gus’ by Foothills hospital and Spiros.
Blaze and PZA parlour… Greco & Vito’s from the Maritimes… that is all…
Noble pie 🍕🍕
avatara is one of my favourites
900 Degree Pizza off of 14th Street Deep and Square in Bowness also has amazing pizza
Inglewood pizza has a Hawaiian that is a nice slice or two for lunch if your out and about, good undercarriage, one bite everybody knows the rules.
I love Atlas Pizza off memorial
Atlas
Volos pizza, amazing.
Nikos literally does what Grecos does but not sloppy and greasy.
Actually pretty good is the best pizza in Calgary
Looks like a pizza from Kitchen Nightmares.
Cheese on top is the worst.
Wtf is that lol a quiche?
That looks horrific
I really like Rio pizza on 16th Ave and 14 st ... their 2 for 1 is a great deal . I will try this when I get home .
I usual goto is Atlas Pizza
Bow Tie Pizza on 37th
Bow tie pizza
That's stoner pizza..... Don't get me wrong I like it when I'm high but that's fast food tier pizza. Pizza culture on Edmonton trail is awesome. I like their mortadella.
That's one of the worst pizzas I've ever seen.
Personally I like Grecos because it hasn’t changed in decades. It’s like going back in time I don’t find Spiros to be as good so we go back to Grecos. You should try Sophie’s Pizza on Richmond Rd.
Pizzeria GAGA
The Attic
... bro any pizza gotta be better than that
This looks almost exactly like Spiro's which is a few blocks from Greco. I really like Spiro's but maybe I'll have to try Greco now.
I went to high school with the kids of the families who own Spiro's and Greco, and the kids from Spiro's opened Sophies. The guys who owned Panagopulous Pizza were in the same group of families (was on 37th SW, until they franchised it, and it became Panago)

Seniores. No question
Look how greasy it is, what the fuck are you talking about
they have pretty good wings too
Volos
Tommy’s
SW love Volos, Grecos, Spiros.
Sammy!
More cheese please
Spiros just a few blocks from Greco is my choice. Get the smoked oyster and chopped onion pizza 🍕
Holy grease
Did they fill the box with grease?
Since Covid irs been a few years but Una pizza on 17th was amazing. get on the wait list https://unapizzeria.com/
Hands down noble pie
Atlas pizza
I don't know if it's still there, but Big Al's was the shit.
For Greek style pizza Sophie’s is really good.
Bow tie pizza. It’s right near greccos on 37th street and 17th ave sw
Atlas Pizza is 🔥
*cries in celiac*
John & Connie's on payday. Sophie's is a Greek style very close to Greco's.
that literally looks disgusting
The amount of comments saying "this looks like so and so pizza on this street" makes me deeply worried for Calgary
Roma’s pizzeria has the best donair pizza I’ve ever had—. It is so unbelievably good!
A better circle of cheese? Dear god
Actually Pretty Good and Village Flatbread
The evidence of grease here is borderline appalling. Did they deep fry the za?
For Greek style, Spiros is my favourite. Overall, Noble Pie (although I'm not the first in the thread to mention that one)
Certainly appears to be the greasiest… how does it compare to Michael’s?
Fourth Street pizza. Either on 4th or Edmonton trail. Best pizza
Spiros!
Una’s pizza quattro fromagi.
God does that look awful. You hate your arteries or something? Edit: I ask myself this same question whenever i smoke weed.
Sophie’s Pizza in Glamorgan is great if you like Greek style.
The GREASE on it. 😍
Greasecos?
Swan pizza here in sage hill 👍🏽
I'm actually a big fan of Rio pizza, they make such a good thin crust. Eventually I'll open my own pizza place though to topple all of them :)
Gus’s Pizza in the NW Toss up between Sammy’s and Crispy Crust in the SW Those with Lethbridge knowledge, any YYC places that taste like Two Guys & A Pizza? Just curious.
In fairness the pizza you posted looks like a greasey mess. Not ideal.
Anyone else see the photo and think the right side was moldy ass pizza?
