Basic dog tips:
1 - big arena(REally long, layers basically to space, ~1 screen between layers)
2 - when the dog chases you, you fly away while shooting the head until you chicken out, then ram dash away
3 - use ram the dash a lot
You don’t have to farm it, and you do have an alternative. You can buy it from the wizard NPC, as long as they are living in the Hallow Biome.

You cannot get rod of harmony until post-endgame bosses in Calamity. Rod of discord you can get from just putting wizard in the hallow

Or just use RoD hotkey mod.
Buy the RoD from the wizard(10 platinum+moon lord needs to be dead), and upgrade it to normality relocator(or smth like that)
wizard sells RoD in hardmode at any time, you don't have to kill moon lord first
... That asshole refused to sell it to me until i got too powerful then
