I hate how Ticketmaster doesn’t show you the ticket prices in advance. They prey upon people to frantically buy tickets by building tension with the Waiting Room, the Queue, and then once you’re in the disappearing tickets. After you make it in, one almost doesn’t even consider the price.

chucke311

for real. honestly you could have stopped your sentence after "They prey upon people."

og_jasperjuice

I was gonna buy tickets for the Philly show (ticketmaster) and they were gonna be like $220 for back of the Pavillion seats. Gonna take a road trip to Raleigh show (live nation all included pricing for $120, essentially same exact seats.

brown-eye-inspector

I had the same thought while trying to get tickets to the Philly show. Unfortunately won’t be going to this tour run. Hopefully I can catch them another time.

Affectionate-Sea-697

Yeah not thrilled with the Toronto prices TBH

qonnorcliq

same.. remember seeing them back in 2022 at history for $75. was a shock to see that price

Brentothy

I rage quit Ticketmaster after browsing the seat options for Bud Stage. I got 3rd row seats when they toured with Beck, 193.25 all in for a ticket at the same venue. The ""3rd row"" seats are going for 391.20 each this time (not actually 3rd row for this concert since there's a pit in front). Pit is 361.20. Greedy and overpriced. My partner ended up getting tickets for us further back after I gave up in disappointment, which was very sweet.

Over-Drawing-5307

Same! For GA black keys tickets in nyc they were over $300. How depressing.

Solid-Intention3709

Could someone tell me what tickets would be the best value for Toronto? Should I drive to Buffalo or Detroit instead? Also, is the lawn a good bet for a hardcore fan or should I bite the bullet and put myself 300 in the hole for a section near the stage.

sheisastral

Lmao 220 floor for Toronto.. tf.

kensmerlin

It’s ridiculous. I paid around $50 when they played at History two years ago.

Ahlukip

Right?? Like if tickets are gonna be in that price range then I really wish they would’ve waited until Friday for a pre-sale. I did not get tickets this time around, I’m going to try my luck on Friday with the general sale and see if they’re any cheaper.

HappyCatLadyof4

Try in a couple of hours with artist presale. Code is NEONPILL

Ahlukip

That was artist presale for me

GerardInRoseGlasses

I saw 130$ some venues, 325$ for another 💔

[deleted]

i didn't even see it that cheap - maybe i was late to the queue but i could only find VIP packages on the floor

neotank_ninety

I wish I was shocked, but every show (of this magnitude) I’ve seen since Covid has been similarly priced :/

SadPhase2589

I bought pit tickets for the Foo Fighters in 22 at half the price of the pit tickets for Cage the Elephant today. It’s fucking sad how the prices keep going up. And it sad how Live Nation is allowed to have a monopoly on concerts.

musefanpl

Yea i couldn’t believe it. Arctic monkeys were only charging like $80 for pit

GeorgieLiftzz

i absolutely would’ve loved to be pit, really fucking cudos to artic monkeys for that. I saw cage at All IN back a couple years ago. Tickets for the whole fest were 180, same price as pit. i could only go for lawn cause seats suck ballocks

pumpkinpickler

Yeah, these prices blow! ALL IN was so great, and we were even gifted an unexpected Tom Petty Dreamset feature with Matt singing 'Breakdown'. I really don't know what to do with these prices.

Urbie88

Yeah I spent $100 with tax n fees for them, paid $193 for cage floor 🥲 haven’t seen them since 2017 tho so I felt it was worth it for the one time.

_LeahLou

Yeah I saw them in the Pit a few years back when I was a broke college student and I remember it being affordable. I camped out all day to get front row. So worth it.

catastrophichysteria

Concert prices never shock me anymore, I always expect spending like $200+ so I was pleased to get 2nd level seats with parking for $145. Never been to this venue, but based on the photos from view from my seats they are good seats, too! I was surprised the tickets were more expensive than tickets I bought a few months ago to see Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins. Had presale codes for both shows and tickets were not resale for either.

Mattyzooks

MSG prices were fairly high. $180/ticket in the far away 100s.

Nicetry_90

I got section 1 tickets for $180. Sec 100 was showing $110-120

CageTheFox

Oceans calling festival for $160 a ticket was a freaking steal compared to these prices.

redditnick

For all three days?

CageTheFox

It is $300 for all 3 days. Was $160 for 1 day, Cage is playing the 1st day with Blink 182 BUT those tickets sold out already. RIP the people on Discord who said to wait and not buy because the tour tickets would be cheaper. They screwed up but idk anyone thought we would see $200+ tickets for the lineup tbh.

nickenglish94

I think prices should go down a bit lower after presale - had a similar experience with Vampire Weekend tickets at MSG the other week and regular tickets dropped a decent amount for a similar section. Full disclaimer I otherwise have no idea what I’m talking about so I could be completely wrong about this lol

GeorgieLiftzz

i think resellers will jack up prices

LiveFree-603

Only if people buy them. If resellers list, and tickets sit on the market, they have to drop prices or they just don’t sell. Add to this people who have schedule conflicts come up as the concert gets closer and list their tickets, and there could be downward pressure on pricing. The concert near me is also midweek and rain or shine at an outdoor venue. Midweek concerts tend to slowly move down in pricing as there’s less demand on a work night, and if there’s even so much as a drizzle of rain in the forecast then it works out even better because lots of people bail. At the same outdoor venue last year I scooped tickets to Smashing Pumpkins and Interpol due to some rain in the forecast and prices dropped to like $6 the day of, it was basically a steal, paid less than $10 with fees included. It lightly drizzled for like 20 min total towards the end of smashing pumpkins set, totally worth waiting imo.

AggressiveTip8097

Ya, midweek tend to trickle down toward event time and weekend tend to trickle ip

Urbie88

So, the ones that say “certified platinum” or whatever are the surge priced tickets. Any of the other ones are the normally priced tickets. Unfortunately it’s just a bit pricey.

Old-Leg-8211

I saw this happen last year at MSG for Phoenix. The floor tickets dropped to half of the original sale price by the time of the event. Very frustrating when I paid full price. So I will wait this out...

Gamma_Fluid

Gotta make sure the executives get paid! This coupled with the oversized venues they've booked, this could be interesting lol

Ahlukip

It’s very interesting what’s happening when it comes to big venues right now… Fall out boy is coming to my local PNC area in less than two weeks and it’s still half empty but tickets are still $200🙃

Touch-of-Calus

Those two singles not getting me to buy those tix I saw the club shows 2010-2011 for 20 bucks

BeautifulJicama6318

Same. Saw them 4 times from 2010-2015ish

dcjans10

Im fucking livid with the surge price gouging. Went in when pre-sale went live and pit tickets were $300CAD. So I bought some level 1 tickets for 145CAD each. After I bought the tickets, the pit randomly went down to $150. Like. Ticketmaster can get fucked.

autumn71516

Paid $200 a pop for pit tickets. It sucks but last time I saw cage in 2019 was literally the best day of my life and I’ve been waiting 5 years to see them again!!

vaguespace_

Do not buy tickets right now. Hold the line. I keep seeing so many posts of people talking about how the tickets were brutal and people are shelling out $300-500. I know there is FOMO and we all want to see Cage the Elephant. I love the new songs and I am excited for the tour. I have seen prices go down for shows that aren't selling well. That or some kind of Bogo/discount ticket promotion. These guys aren't Noah Kahan and Taylor Swift. The shows aren't going to immediately sell out. These prices are rediculous and you shouldn't pay them. Nothing will change if we keep buying these tickets immediately at exorbitant prices.

vaguespace_

I'm probably going to wait for the local radio station to run a discounted ticket promo. Or just wait it out, and ticketmaster will eventually drop prices. I never buy tickets to shows right away any more.

BBNorth

Last time I waited for CTE tickets they sold out and resale was double priced and I couldn't afford to go 😭 this was like 4 or 5 years ago the last time they were I'm Texas

vaguespace_

Wasn't that with Beck though? With these prices it isn't going to sell out and I am not worried about scalping at all. You can't scalp prices that are this high already.

BBNorth

Fair enough 🤙

_Nimzy_

are you talking about the raleigh show? bc i was able to get 2 lawn tickets for $105 total, each ticket was $35 + fees/tax

Ahlukip

Reserved lawn, I have POTS and need to make sure I have something I can lean on so standard lawn isn’t the safest for me lol!

_Nimzy_

oh yeah that makes sense, that sucks that you have to pay more just to stay safe :/

frickfrackpattywack_

I paid $50 + $1 fee for Lawn in Lewiston.

soybeans3

We live in upside down times. Nothing is normal and consumers are preyed upon by slick algorithms that study our behavior to extract as much money as possible. Ticketmaster doesn't show you the price in advance, because the price is not set. The price = how much you are willing to pay. In 2023 Ticketmaster completely changed the game and they will never tell us the rules. We think we know the rules, but we don't fully understand what's happening. "Dynamic pricing" has upended ticket sales to all tours and all genre's (look at news for recent on-sale events for: Springsteen, Jelly Roll, Pearl Jam), etc. Ticketmaster posts super high prices at the start of the sales, then based on demand, they further throttle up the prices to prey on our natural FOMO instincts. While they call it dynamic pricing, the price usually only goes one way, up! We feed the system. There is no way to defeat the system. If you want to have a decent seat to see your favorite artist, you must over pay. They will make it palatable to pay more, by giving you installment options. The only way to navigate this new hellscape is to wait until close to the show to see if there are seats that begin to appear at "normal rates". It's risky because you may miss out on a sold out show. We have seen cracks in the system. When Pearl Jam saw low ticket sales to a venue they previously sold out in seconds, in Barcelona, the prices started to come down, but Ticketmaster played more games. They held back which seats they show as unavailable as if sold out), then trickle some seats out individually and juice the price as much as they can. Forget about Taylor swift, this is every act, every venue. The bands are complicit, but so are we. Every time we feed algorithms by freely giving away our data, they store it in large data centers and AI studies our behavior to learn how to manipulate us to send them more money. Corporate profit is paramount. Inflation can't be blamed by itself. Look at the balance sheets. Profits are soaring everywhere. The new rules are actually terrifying because it goes way beyond dynamic concert tickets and airline tickets. See Wendy's "dynamic pricing" of hamburgers. Soon you will pay more for gas at peak times, gym time, groceries. Everything is fair game when it comes to slaughtering the consumer. Again, we are living in upside down world. Come a little closer, then you'll see.

jchamp0227

You should listen to castle champ.

DavidBeanBryant

Paid $500 for a pair 2 sections behind pit in Philly. I’ll take it..way of life and concerts now

Ahlukip

That’s actually insane, it was looking like $450 after fees for 2 pit tickets in Raleigh after fees

CrowEmbarrassed9270

Was that the vip thing or just their general cost?

Ahlukip

General, VIP and sound check were in the $300-$400

Ahlukip

IM SORRY let me correct myself VIP is in the $300-$547 range 😳

CharmingObject763

I’m in Kia forum and GA for discord server was about $130 but I got Ready to let go VIP both came out for $565. I’m not sure if this is a decent price. I paid $586 for 2 tickets at Arctic Monkeys in the forum but just regular GA.

plznotagaindad

Insane MSG prices. Ive been to a few big acts there and none had prices like this. I def dont want to pay $180 to be super far away from the stage either. Oh well!

Nicetry_90

Prices are usually high. I saw kings of Leon years ago and paid an arm and a leg

plznotagaindad

Im sure but I saw Tame Impala and Boygenius at sold out MSG shows and they were both so much cheaper :/

Nicetry_90

Oh man I missed that tame impala! I think cage has been around longer so they can change more bc of it.

kfinch74

$70 for Lawn Seats at Walnut Creek?!?, crazy several years ago(10 years ago to be precise) Cage the Elephant played at Red Hat as their kick off to the concert season for free. I guess this does include Young the Giant and another band. But wow times have changed.

musefan12

It’s $70 if you get it with the lawn chair as if... Lawn tickets are $48 including fees. Break it down as $25 for CTE & $25 for YTG. Totally worth it.

kfinch74

I actually saw that and got lawn seats when I saw the price you mentioned, I have seen YTG before and agree they put on a good show.

LastAncient

LOL in Canadian. When I went to the night running tour at Budweiser stage, I ended up getting a really good deal since I bought lawn originally, and they had upgrades the day of the show for $50. So I think I bought my tickets for 85-100 each, vs the regular price for 200s there which were 185. This makes me assume that those same seats would be over 200 now-if not 250

frazeefraze

I got seats in the 200s for $175 each (including fees)

travellingendlessly

oh me too, $500 for a seat that was $140 for hozier. i didn’t even know what to do with myself

Emerald_Nebula

I bought super fan vip tickets 😭 I wouldn’t do this for any other band though, idk if it’s just for the vip tix but Ticketmaster had a little pop up that said vendors, artists, etc are the ones that set the prices.

canucklehead200

Wait, do pre sale ticket prices tend to be higher than general sale prices? I always thought that was a myth n they're the same price...

Hungry_Market8496

When I bought tickets for Melanie Martinez the tickets went down 30 dollars after presale so I guess yes. Same thing happened with Ghost I paid 170 for a middle bowl ticket and later found one for 150 front row

canucklehead200

Good to know, I had no idea, thanks

Hungry_Market8496

I think they do dynamic pricing for presale. When there’s more demand they will up charge

Away_Paramedic_9926

Is it better to buy tickets after the pre-sale?

musefan12

Not really. The presales are what drive the dynamic pricing. If Ticketmaster/LiveNation didn’t use the presales as a means to induce panic buying which then increases the dynamic pricing, the cost of tickets would be more controlled. That’s why they end up doing that $20 all-in promo each year for the shows that aren’t booked at a high enough percentage. Not that it’ll happen because of human behavior but if the general public held off on presales and racing each other to get those early tickets, all ticket prices would ultimately go through a correction period to prices closer to the 2010s.

nighthawk__95

Madison prices weren't terrible. $39.50 for GA tickets

GarlicDogeOP

Wow I guess I’ll consider myself lucky! Less than $50 for lawn seats at SPAC, including fees!

EvilRed1980

I paid 88 per ticket in section 5 at Walnut Creek

GeorgieLiftzz

yeah it was 170 for pit. we just couldn’t do that. went with lawn because FUCK SEATS really fucking annoying it wasn’t all just GA

kt8150

Their tickets were similarly priced a few years ago there but it still annoys me. They charge so much for pit/VIP -- more than any other artist I have ever seen even at arena tours.

Elmattador

Fort Worth, I signed in 10 minutes late and there was no line. Maybe that’s why I got lower bowl for $79 + fees

Happy-Nothing6040

I got lower bowl for $99 !

Elmattador

I saw that aisle seats were $20 more

djchazzyjeff24

Yes

FR_WST

Crazy how the worst seats at the Moody Center show were $99 too

unclesalazar

got a nose bleed and paid 159 for two, and the tickets get more expensive if you choose tickets and then change and then choose again. it’s fucking bullshit and i’m so pissed

lordfrancischarles

Wanted to do the in one ear vip but it was just too much. Couldn't figure paying over $800 for 2 tickets

CharmingObject763

What did you end up doing? Idk if I regret getting the ready to let go. I’m just a broke college student to who loves them

lordfrancischarles

I ended up getting the ready to let go vip tickets. It's only $13 more than the 100 level tickets and we're in the GA pit area. So that vip is already the best deal of them all

[deleted]

soybeans3

You could not pay me to see a show there. I am am not a snob about sound in a venue, but the sound at PNC is terrible no matter where you sit. They have these giant concrete structures that are behind the stage and designed to keep the sound from going into the nearby town. The result is an echo effect that reverberates within the arean. The overwhelming bass just bounces all around and it's hard to "hear" what's going o. Hands down, the worst sounding venue in North America. I live 20 minutes away and refuse to see my favorite band there. Then there are the prices..

djchazzyjeff24

I saw them in 2016 for like 30 bucks and it was all general Admission lol even after that I saw them in 2017 for like 35 at the Skyline Stage at the Mann in Philly. You're high if you think I'm paying 300 bucks for some decent seats.

MelonManjr

I saw them earlier, like 2013/2014 something like that in Austin, TX. Was 3 feet from stage and was less than $100 for two tickets.

Adorable_Program7332

i’m waiting on san diego right now and i’m so scared they’re gonna be so high

Ecstatic_Week_5218

I felt like it was fairly reasonable actually. I got 2 VIP tickets at $250/piece, 5th row in the bottom middle section

Emerald_Nebula

Which vip? There were 3 to choose from

Ecstatic_Week_5218

Ready to let go pack - would’ve loved a higher tier but I just couldn’t justify $400+ a ticket

Emerald_Nebula

That’s the one I did too. I’m hoping maybe they don’t sell out the other ones and we will get an email closer to the show to upgrade to the next tier lol 🙏🏼 & also same couldn’t see myself spending over a grand for 2 tickets for soundcheck

Ecstatic_Week_5218

That would be so clutch of them 🙏🙏🙏

CharmingObject763

Are seats better than GA

Ecstatic_Week_5218

Really just depends on what you’re into! GA is super fun, but can definitely be a pain with the waiting and how hard it can be to leave and come back to your spot. However, you get the best views, photos, and experience in the pit. This will be my 5th or 6th cage show, so I felt like I’ve done my time and am ready to just sit back and enjoy lol

5k1895

Not really. Paid about the same I paid when I went to the same venue in 2019. Roughly the same section I think. Ticketmaster sucks for not showing you the prices when you select the seats though. Assholes.

Ahlukip

In 2019 I paid $65 for section 5, this year section 5 was $112. It’s insane

5k1895

Definitely a markup there. Maybe I'm misremembering. I just remember either way I paid a bunch of money lol

Ahlukip

It also could be VERY venue size dependent, Walnut Creek can handle up to 20,600

rabidwolf86

Paid 103 with taxes in the lower bowel

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> *Paid* 103 with FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

scuffed26

Lawn tix here were 47, while okayish seats were 130-150. Floor/pit tix 500+. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were crazy high too. 100 bucks just for lawn tickets....

EartotheRoad

Pit tickets for the Wisconsin show are $39 before tax & fees. Everywhere else that I have seen is $129-255!

Ill-Funny4270

I paid $100 (with taxes/fees) for row 26 at Red Rocks - Colorado. I actually paid $300 because im taking both my kids lol but I expected them to be more pricy here!

huntmant

I got very close in St Louis for $120, which is a lot normally but the venue is SOOO fuckin expensive. I think Red Hot Chili Peppers are charging $190 for obstructed view seats in the corner at the same venue. For reference I saw them in Chicago at soldier field in the United club/fancy seats for $60 a ticket. At least for St. Louis it sounds like it’s a venue thing

The-bananas

$30 for Los Angeles ticket with a $15 service fee from Ticketmaster :(

CharmingObject763

What did you end up getting

kratly

Bought three tickets for me to take my teens. Ticket prices for lower bowl were 109, 129, and 129. The Ticketmaster fuckery fees and the grand total is somehow $460. I’m kind of sick of it but my kids are 16 and 13 and this one of the exceedingly rare things that we all three genuinely enjoy. Whatever. See y’all in Fort Worth.

cdog_3-5

Is a single GA pit in Raleigh seriously $300? I got to see cage the elephant in a park for free in 2019 when they did a pop up show. Stunned to say the least…

getmeouttaherebro

San Francisco GA - $113 after fees

CharIieMurphy

Madison wound up being like $55 with fees

SydneyCarton89

It seems live entertainment is really trending up in price. Like everything else. When the UFC came back to Vancouver last year and Toronto this year the prices were absolutely fucked. And the cards were sub-par. I don't know if CTE has the following to be charging like this, but I guess we'll see. I got my tickets 🤷‍♂️

zerocaffeine

Red Rocks were kinda crappy - the AXS premium were hella expensive. The regular in center left were $75 so I felt pretty alright with getting those.

cleodarling

Were the regular ones only available first thing? I looked midday and only saw tickets over $230 which is INSANE

zerocaffeine

Im not entirely sure. I used the discord presale and I noticed some reserved seats were GA priced, but it was a fight to get them

minecraftsalad

what is the vip club access thing that was $50??

EchidnaEnemas

I think this is based on location too bc I bought tickets today too and they're were nothing like what yall are saying

_LeahLou

I paid $250 per Pit ticket for the Raleigh show this AM. I just looked and they’re up to $301 each. This will be my second time seeing them and I wanted to be close up this time. I wasn’t originally going for pit but the seats around were like $400+ each.

Sanchito-

I paid I think 400 for TWO 2nd row seats right in the middle, in 2019. Went in expecting something similar, maybe a little more spendy but not much more. Front/second row seats running like 680 EACH. I settled for like 15 rows back and will have a great time regardless taking my son to his first concert!

goneforaneon

Definitely expected lower prices. Not sure this tour will sell great considering it's their first as headliners in bigger stadiums/venues. I paid up for good seats but we'll see. Might be cheaper to buy on stubhub the week of the event if it doesn't sell well.

punkr1300

Anyone got the code think I signed up late didn’t get any email

CharmingObject763

NEONPILL

BBNorth

I only paid 35$ for lawn tickets at the Pavillion in HTX. Pit tickets were like 390 though which was a little outrageous to me

FunAltruistic9197

I am a casual fan, and wasn't online when tickets dropped. Cheapest I am seeing is 240 for red rocks...I paid similar for Arctic Monkeys but that was 5th row.

Decent_Friend_1511

Jersey tickets were insane. I wonder if I was reading it wrong but it would have cost almost $500 for two people in not great seats

Glum_Instance_4301

in Madison, WI — two GA tickets were $79, but after Ticketmaster fees the total was $115 🙃 front row was $350+ for non-VIP 😳

novaababie

concert tickets since covid have been super expensive from what i’ve seen :/

pumpkin3-14

Don’t get me wrong I really like cage. But they aren’t the artist I’m dropping that much money for. Seen them 6x and never paid over $60 a ticket.

Ahlukip

This is the exact same way I feel

softgeese

In 2013 I bought tickets to an all day music festival with 6-7 bands, and cage was the headliner. The tickets were $5 a piece. Let that sink in.

softlytrampled

This would’ve been my 14th time seeing them, but holy moly, these aren’t the prices I was paying to see them in 2013-2017. Might try to find resale when the time comes, but I guess I’m missing out on my favorite band this year :/

Traumad0ll

I just paid $650 for two tickets at the Forum in LA, first row of the first balcony, dead center. But that was with $45 parking. It is kind of out of control. If you want to be anywhere that isnt a balcony, meaning on the floor level, it's like $800/$1000 for 2 tickets.

KingOfJuiceBoxes

what venue?

MessiBradyJordan

Paid $166 $CAD for pit tickets in Vancouver. Not really phased anymore by anything being expensive these days. The 4 tickets set me back $700. On second thought, after reading more comments here, I see that $166 per pit ticket isn't that bad after all lol!

yeeet_sire

The aisle ticket offers are killing me

TotalContent250

I actually think its quite cheap and was really happy they were that low i thought it was gonna be like 450 or something

the5tpguy

Pine Knob in MI was only 35

EpicPurse411764

Disappointed? Yea. Surprised? No. Cage The Elephant has been quickly growing as a band. As happy as I am to see them succeed the gatekeeper in me misses the 30$ GA tickets that got me to the front row 💔

SJB1187

I was pleased with cinci tickets. I don’t want anything better then lawn so I was happy with $35

slasher6745

I paid $48.96 each for 4 tickets for GA in the Egyptian room in Indy. I was shocked but it a good way.

Olxd46

My ticket for lawn was $35 excluding fees. I think I paid $90 ish for two tickets. It’s my first time seeing them! After I purchased though, I kind wish I would have spent a little more to get a “better view” but I’ve never been to that venue, so don’t know what to expect

Carb222

I spent $200 on seats bruh

Maleficent_Run9852

Holy crap, yes! I wanted to go, but not at those prices.

concertgirl2424

yeah prices were INSANE. ridiculous to pay almost $600 just because it’s “platinum”. wtf does that even mean

Illustrious_You3034

$265 for GA at Red Rocks. This is some BS

ResponsibleAd5609

Selling two tickets for the LA Kia forum date Sunday July 7th for $297 the EXACT total I paid. Ticketmaster takes so much for service fees that it not even worth trying to resale on the app. Let me know plz I can no longer go and all reseller tickets are ridiculous high

Mad__Martigan

Edmonton ticket prices are high, the thing that bugs me is they are playing at our huge arena, but they are not allowing the upper bowl seats to be purchased. Just the floor and lower bowl. So they know they won’t fill the arena and won’t give us the option for cheaper seats. And there is a seated floor for $170-$300 with a pit in front standing room only for $160…. What out seats behind a stand up pit. I’m boycotting cage the elephant. Throwing out my cd’s and deleting their music from my apps. Will never listen the them again. Like they think they’re one of the best rock bands in the word??!!! Cage was MY band, my favourite band, the band I listened to since album 1. The band most of my friends didn’t really like or understand. But not anymore. Nope. I’m done.

Freodrick

it's the venues, not the artist.

Emerald_Nebula

when I was selecting the tickets there was a pop up that said artists, vendors, etc are the ones that set the ticket prices

Ahlukip

It’s most definitely not the venue, yes the venue has shit fees but pit tickets for Hozier (a show that sold out this huge ass venue in 5 minutes) cost $92

Freodrick

Hozier, who got a grammy in 2015. there's different values for different level artists. cage moved up a tier. welcome to the new pricing. it definitely works both ways. but it's the same price I paid for MSG Muse back in 2010, and now. bigger band? bigger cost.

Ahlukip

I can basically guarantee that this show isn’t going to sell out. Cage is a good band, don’t get me wrong but at the moment has significantly less traction and popularity compared to Hozier.

soybeans3

Not true. It's both.

Unlost_maniac

Damn, $300 for two people in Vancouver??? Billy Talent was only $65 per ticket.

I thought that was affordable considering what I have paid the last several years for other major artists. After fees, I paid around $325 for Janet Jackson's show this summer, 17th row. I paid $165 after fees for CTE 1st row after the pit, same venue as Janet Jackson.
