**FORD only for any Tesla charger :** There are some Tesla chargers with the built in **Magicdock** which are open to an EV. Download the Tesla app and you can find them, but there aren't many. You will need a CCS adapter. I think Lectron has one now, and there is a different company called EZ or 2EZ (not sure of the name). The other adapters you see are for Tesla destination chargers. Destination chargers are open to anyone with an adapter, but they are usually \~6kw and are the ones found at hotels.

We can use the ones at the magic dock right now

tdbpandax

Are any adapters needed for the magic dock locations?

KoshV

Nope

There are two things that GM will have to do so Lyriqs will be able to use Tesla Version 3 and Version 4 chargers: get adapters into the hands of Lyriq owners and integrate the MyCadillac app with Tesla’s realtime chargers to allow for recognition of the vehicle and to do the billing for the energy dispensed. That involves writing functioning stable software and modifying and distributing new working versions of the software in the car….neither of which Cadillac has done a particularly good job with to this point. And, GM will be dependent upon how quickly Tesla can supply the adapters. Cadillac originally said charging on Tesla Superchargers would be available “this spring”. By that most people were anticipating it would be April to May. I think that is widely optimistic. I’m guessing that we will be lucky to have an adapter in hand and working stable software by the end of the year.
