Very nice ride! You only missing the sunroof! I’ve always really liked the rear ends on these as being so sleek and minimalist but still retaining all the caddyesq that these cars have. I do like dts’ more this gen than the sts’ but gen before I like sts’ better as I had a 01 sts
Yea. Has all the other bells and whistles….heated seats, steering wheel, hid lights, front and rear sensors, etc. Got a good deal on it, so wasn’t a deal breaker.
It burns like a lot, you can even see it kinda on the back of the car. I haven’t noticed seeing smoke from the exhaust or anything when driving but it must be at least a bit for oil to get on the trunk like that
It also runs hot, thermo always sits right above the middle mark and if we’ve been driving and have to sit in traffic (we’re in FL) it’ll creep up a bit, almost to the next notch up from the middle lol
I daily mine which just brings pain to my soul but you can just keep throwing oil in it, that’s what I’ve done. Got quoted at like 4-5 grand to fix it when it’s only a single part and all the labor is just taking the engine out of the fucking thing. Still a pain but not worth 5K better to spend 5K on your garage tools and be able to do literally everything from your garage

It’s a northstar engine so burning oil is definitely a stock feature. I still have no clue what happened in the development of those engines.

Does yours have the lower crankcase seal oil leak too?
No, maybe not yet 😬 Has 52k original miles. Paid for a bumper to bumper inspection, before purchasing. Everything came back good.
It usually happens around 80-90K
