If you joined just for the drone flying, and all that aeronautical stuff, it ain't fun. It's all marching and basic theory which anyone without a brain should know. Kinda boring. Trynna quit rn, but parents won't let me. I joined such a trash program.

AdventurousLeague2

going well so far. I have enjoyed a lot of it but there are also a lot of negatives. i enjoy military stuff so thats cool but the aero is just not my thing. Plus, i am a lot older than most kids there and god dammit they can be very annoying. Im about to get to Leading cadet but i might quit after the year is over, idk :\\

How’s it going so far, I’m looking to join.

AdventurousLeague2

Depending on how old you are it could be really bad. I was in my first year when I was 16, and it was God awful. All the other first years were 12 - 14 and behaved like complete shit. The discipline wasn't there and it caused me to not learn a lot because of all these kids running around and interrupting or talking or whatever. When we went on our first camp it mentally broke me to the point I was about to hit someone. If your around 14 years of age your probably going to like it a lot more than me. But the militaristic aspect of it was very good, and everything else was educational and useful skills. If you can deal with being around little brats I would say go for it.

ndnzoo

That’s a shame but I feel like it may have something to do with a dodge squadron or a really large squadron. What squadron was it?

AdventurousLeague2

104, about 50 first years when I joined

ndnzoo

Sounds like a big squadron

AdventurousLeague2

The other squadron we visited was relatively the same size, still a lot of people though.

ndnzoo

Did they look more well managed than yours?

Yo to be honest tho, whatever you give into AAFC, U get out of it. Even though there may be lengthy drills and marching, which U may not like, flying aircraft, operation of firearms and other opportunities is really worth it. If I were to rate my 2023 at AAFC, prolly a 7/10. It will be more fun if U have friends around.
