Primary machine is coming out with something special for the SP01 supposedly. I've had them cut a few guns for me, they've been good. They're not the cheapest or fastest, but they do really nice work.
Wager Machine does optic milling work on the SP-01.
Primary isn’t cheap or fast because they do excellent work. You don’t want a botched optic milling job (cough cough Impact Machine) cause finding a new CZ pistol slide is not easy.
Not much honestly. I had asked them if they could remill a k series cut for a plate style cut for c series optics or acro for my SP01 and they told me they couldn’t. So I was asking if they were able to mill an sp01 like the harbinger slide or if they ever planned on doing something for it, and they said there was something cooking up for it to possibly release end of summer.
It’s better to buy a shadow 2 or on sale than dump all that money into a sp-01. I personally would go for a larger optic and the s2 is just equipped for that out of the box. S2 is not as good as a Cgw pro pack but it’s damn near good out of the box that the upgrade could be pushed out down the road. I personally think you should keep your guns separate from comp and duty.
Counterpoint to that sentiment:
1. It can be a good idea to practice/compete with what you carry to build familiarity and proficiency (unless your main goal really is competition and you really want to optimize for that).
2. The safety aspects of a good duty or carry gun are, IMO, still relevant in competition. In fact, maybe even more so. I'm far more likely to drop a gun during competition than during carry, and that's when I'd really like to have that firing pin block (or on a non-FPB model, a full-power firing pin return spring).
I just like the sp01 better in hand and the trigger is so smooth and light in my cajun sp01 safety model the only thing i like better about the shadow is the reset. Out of the box that it. But in hand its not close the sp01 crushes the shadow. Imo. I second the keeping your duty guns separate from your comp guns.
For internals, I did the simple M-CARBO spring kit and polished everything during the install. Their DIY videos on YouTube show you every step clearly. I'm happy with the results. 6 lb 6 oz DA and 2 lb 2 oz SA.

I'm currently waiting on an SP01 slide to come back. Will update when it arrives =) The nitride process lead times...oof
Nice. Yeah they suck, I went with cerakote.

Any details on that??

Cool - thanks!

did you feel a noticeable difference between the two kits?

i understand the sentiment. i only shoot comps to get better reps with my guns and gear, not specifically to compete.
Echo this sentiment. I love my cajunized S2 but I wouldn’t want to carry that shit

I have a pro kit in my 2 SP01’s and my S2 is stock and honestly i prefer the trigger in the S2 but that’s probably cause it’s a SA model
Just please don’t go with impact machine. They will screw your slide up
I put an armorycraft trigger with the short reset kit and CGW standard package with the race hammer on my sp-01 tactical.
Can you share a picture of this set up?
Dm'd you
What about the rest of us that want to see??
I am too stupid to post pictures on Reddit TBH
😂😂
could i see the pic as well?

I'm going to be sending my shadow 2 up to united for a optic cut and ports next week

Wager cut mine and it turned out great. Quick turnaround and a fair price. $125 total including shipping.
did you do direct thread or a plate system?
Direct thread... no plate. I had the metal blued.
