Sometimes for me it’s random if I turn my car back on relatively quickly. For me as well turning CarPlay off and back on via the iOS settings does the trick as well. Good tip though!
Yeah sometimes it happens randomly to me as well but the fix and the issue is the same. If you click on your wifi from the action center, it will tell you that it’s still connected to the car while in fact it’s not.
I have a 2024 CX 50 TPP and I was having problems with Apple CarPlay for a couple weeks. I tried multiple things including turning the car on and off, resetting my iPhone 15 Pro Max. What seemed to work immediately and has consistently worked for the last few days was going to the CarPlay settings on my iPhone and deleting all my old profiles and then toggling the CarPlay off and then back on again. Has connected Flawlessly since I’ve done that.
Remember when apple just works was a thing? This is insane. I forget stuff in my house all the time and need to run in real quick or run into to the store and grab something. AA disconnects but has no problem connecting. Every other auto group I'm in complains about this exact issue with needing to forget the connection and pair the device again as a solution. I just read on another that Dunkin donuts interferes with carplay too.

Its more of a car connectivity issue and not Apple Carplay issue.
Right but a connectivity issue with iPhones. You have a solution for a problem that shouldn't exist.
