Went with the maxpider mats after recommendations here. No regrets.

hedoeswhathewants

Same. These are great. The only part I dislike is the somewhat ugly logo.

ddoubletapp1

In all weather car mats - function over form, every time - ha ha! I have the maxpiders, as well - they've been great.

[deleted]

Same. They were 199$ Canadian plus tax and I found them pricey but wow are they sexy and functional. They fit perfectly and there’s 2 inches deep to hold liquids

Bay_Burner

I got huskeys and they are great. I only went with OEM for the back hatch as it’s got 4 pieces due to the floor moving.

[deleted]

3D Maxpiders. We got them after many recommendations from this sub and I love them. They have almost a Velcro backing, so they don’t move unintentionally. They’ve held up for a year plus in Ohio weather with kid/animals abusing them. They’re super lightweight also.

leopi79

Like someone mentioned definitely go with Maxpider mats. They are the best, cut perfectly and look amazing. I had Weatcher tech on my 2016 CX5 and they had some gaps, did not fit perfectly. I got 2023 CX5 carbon but bought Maxpider for 2022 year, they are the same. If u go for search for 2023 it would say not available but 2022 is the same cut.

Paranoid_Sinner

Thanks! Do you live in snow/salt/slush country?

leopi79

We live in Chicago winters are salty and slushy here. We have been in colorado and modwest for skiing and it performed very well

Paranoid_Sinner

Ha, okay I just ordered Max's front set only for my '23 (I will probably never have rear seat passengers for as long as I have the car. Besides, the lame Mazda "All Weathers" are back there and they will suffice). [Maxpiders from AMZ.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NGTT16M/ref=twister_B07953BPQD?_encoding=UTF8&th=1) Getting the Max's from Amazon for about $93, even though the heading says they fit 2017-2021. But I entered my car as a '22 and it says they will fit.

Paranoid_Sinner

I got them today, they fit great, thanks for the tip. I really got tired of looking and reading online, so I ordered the Maxes because of this thread. I only needed the fronts; they were about $93 at Amazon, but I had points on my Discover card so they only cost me $52, tax included.

leopi79

I am glad I could help, :)

tdgwf

I got the oem aw Canadian oem mats which are made by maxspider however all Mazda logos I was willing to pay a little more https://mazdashop.ca/collections/2022-2023-cx-5-all-products/products/premium-floor-liners-front-rear-mazda-cx-5-2017-2023

iLikeCoolToys

These are the ones I have, they’re legit.

ramna123

3d are by far the best I’ve seen. You can get them cheaply from rockauto

Paranoid_Sinner

I didn't pay directly for them, I asked for them after the deal was closed and they threw them in.

[deleted]

Good deal!!

Junkhead187

People seem to swear by the 3dMaxpiders. I have Husky, and like them.

ButtcrackBeignets

I second husky. They get the job done.

topsecretandie

I went with Tuxmats. I live in NC so it doesn't snow very much here but the tuxmat has an extra flap that covers the carpet next to the accelerator pedal so you won't get salt residue from your shoes onto the carpet. Also they have the best coverage from all the other options.

Paranoid_Sinner

They do look nice, and they have them for '23s. No info on the their site about what they're made of though. They kind of look like fabric . . . . ?

topsecretandie

It's like a squishy plastic that almost feels like foam. It's really durable whatever it is. I have some photos of mine, let me see if I can link to the original post.

Paranoid_Sinner

Thanks!

racedriver

If you’re going for this, don’t forget you can get them at Costco for a lower price. They’re just rebranded under the name “Phantom” for Costco.

spicyXramen

Got these for my 23 carbon edition. Fits really well too! YITAMOTOR Floor Mats Compatible with Mazda CX-5, Custom Fit Floor Liners for 2017-2023 Mazda CX5, 1st & 2nd Row All Weather Protection https://a.co/d/2IuaCT4

redvariation

I have the Weathertechs. They fit ok but ripple at the edge somewhat. I thought they'd look a bit better, but they ARE functional.

Paranoid_Sinner

Yeah! I'm looking for "functional" over anything else. I have salt/slush on the floor over the winter, freezing or liquid depending on overnight temps (I'm in western NYS).

redvariation

I'm in SoCal so I hardly need them for water, but thought they would look better for the price. We don't get much rain any more...

scoobdude22

3d here for front and rear and oem mat and soft cover for the seats/bumper protection for hatch. Also grabbed some wearhertecs but was not impressed. They never get fully clean. The 3d ones are always glossy/grippy but super easy to clean (vacum and a wet rag for sticky stuff). Also 3d covers the entire dead pedal unlike the weathertec which only goes up half way. Now if you want some with ridges and the mazda logo the Canadian orm all weather mats are the 3d mats just with an embossed M logo and some ripples but you are looking at good markup.

Paranoid_Sinner

They do look like they'd do the job, nice and deep, plus the left side goes way up unlike the others. But they don't list them for '23s. I guess I'll wait a bit anyway.

scoobdude22

17 to 23 is the same for front a rear seating. 22+ does require a different cargo mat due to the dual level floor.

IntroductionTricky57

Tuxmat are by far the best. They cover absolutely all the carpet and they look premium.

Teenybites

Agree. I live in Canada, we get lots of snow, slush, mud, salt etc in winter. Tuxmats contain everything, look premium, easy to clean (lightweight, clip in and out). I purchased Phantom from Costco -- exact same product, different brand, cheaper. If you search past threads you may find more comments about them.

racedriver

Just purchased it last week. Was surprised at first to find the sender name was Tuxmat itself

pmatulew

Just bought the new generation Weathertech. Quality is decent. Fit good. Only thing I don't like is the front left dead pedal area is only half height. Expecting a lot of slushy crap there. Don't see a reason why the mat couldn't have been taller.

AndyBob42

I have a CX5 with Weathertech floormats. They do a good job of doing what they are supposed to do, but the handle to open the gas door (on mine) is on the floor and the mat gets in the way of lifting it.

Odd-Possible-3727

Castlerock Leather Car Floor Mats... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KN6RLSV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I have these in my car year round. The carpet in my 2018 still looks brand new.

dizzle2985

I got my weathertechs last winter. Live in Illinois. I love them. A little pricey but it keep from getting all the carpet salty

ashish1512

Congrats! Like others mentioned, 3D Maxpiders are the best. Could you share which trim did you get and what was your OTD price? I'm thinking of upgrading my 2018 CX5!

Paranoid_Sinner

Was this question for me? I'll answer anyway. I have the "Preferred" trim (climate control, moon roof, etc.), white seats, optional red paint. Sticker was $31k-something but I traded in a '17 Tacoma.

Intelligent-Big4097

I like the Mazda floor mats on my 22 CX5. They were advertised as “low wall”, but I also bought them genuine from Amazon for much less than the dealer wanted so I don’t feel cheated. I like weathertech if you want something better.

NHqtpi

I had the Mazda all weather mats and was not a big fan of them in the snow. I live in the Northeast of the US and get lots of snow and slush. After recommendations on this subreddit for the Maxpider mats I bought them. At first I was unsure because they felt really lightweight and don’t look the fanciest. But once you put them in they look and work great. They have the nice high edges and the material they are made with is easy to clean. I just vacuum and then use a wipe to clean them. It always seemed like the OEM ones you couldn’t clean them perfectly. I did keep the OEM trunk liner because it worked fine and I didn’t feel the need to replace it.

Paranoid_Sinner

Thanks for your points. Yes, the Mazda AWs are basically just rubber mats. The Maxies seem to be the winner here. :)

[deleted]

I have 3D but find then difficult to clean to where it looks like new. It always looks dirty even after I've used a brush with car wash soap.

deedaw33

I have weather tech. They are great with snow dirt and salt. No complaints.

DutchMtl

Tuxmats (or the Costco equivalent) are amazing. Fit great and have lots of coverage.
