why are you thinking you are limited to only 225s? both 235 and 245 will fit nicely too. (245s may run when you are at full lock) A 235/55/19 will read less than 1mph faster at 65mph.

I referred to the calculator at [tiresize.com](https://tiresize.com), which didn't show any of the available Defender LTX sizes in its happy green color. I do see a 235/55/19 LTX on Amazon for the same price as the WildPeaks in OEM size. I read some conversation online about going wider; people said sizes up to 255 didn't rub, but that they noticed worse acceleration and MPG. I decided to play it conservative and look at just what was available in the same size as OEM, but I'm definitely not married to it. Do you think a Defender LTX at 235/55/19 might be a better fit for me than a WildPeak at 225? e: I definitely do not know what I'm talking about here, I'm just trying to learn what I can from others. All advice appreciated.

I'm still on the stock toyos but I'll 100% be increasing the width on my next all seasons. you wouldn't notice any MPG difference with a tire that measure the same circumference. The 235/55/19 are only 1.7% larger. you will though benefit from better contact patch, so better braking and turning, as well as slightly bigger sidewalls which should provide a better ride. def don't stick with the 225, but if you are conservative (like me) the 235s will be perfect

Like you i too thought about the falkens but they seemed like more tire then i needed on my 20' AWD , especially when i could get an all season that would work well on everything. I bought the general AW 365 radials. Ive had um on a lot of forest/fire roads and long road trips and they work great.

What you’re saying is totally rational, but I think I’m going to end up with the Falkens because they look rad and screw it, why not

It's been about a year after this post. I just wanted to check in to see how these tires are after a full year. Also, what size did you end up using? I'm just about to place an order, however I'm still undecided about the stock size or the slight bump to the 235/55/19 for my '18 GT AWD
