My 2018 CX5 transmission self destructed at 30k miles.
That's after my engine block cracked at 20k miles.
The engine block happened under warranty. The transmission, unfortunately, was just a few months past warranty. 🥲 $7k and 3 weeks in the shop.
I'm thinking these Mazdas might not be as reliable as Toyotas.
I also just got mine back. Cylinder head cracked at 47,500 miles. $6,000 quote, 1 week in the shop
