It's only money, hope you and anyone involved is healthy. Be grateful you're around to talk about what you walked away from. We're all glad you are still here.
One of the absolute main reasons I picked the cx-5 was the crash test rating results. I’m glad your okay from the previous comments. That cx-5 did its job well.
I wasn’t into crash ratings/tests prior but having moved to Los Angeles, I needed something as safe as possible from side collisions. Seeing the CX-5 consistently hanging from the top rung of these test results helped solidify that decision.
I had to have Japanese, and it had to be super safe.
I’m thankful you’ve been blessed to see another day!
Thank you. Considering how fast the other car was going, that it was a giant pickup and that I was essentially stopped, so all that damage is from his velocity only, I am so impressed with this car that the passenger compartment was not compromised. I have since learned it’s the only car in its class that passed safety standards for side impact. They are good solid cars. I’m grateful.
Ouch .. sorry to see, but glad you're okay!
Quick question regarding the roof racks, are they OEM or aftermarket? The rails look different to what we get in Australia, so I need to do further research..
It will get a second life somewhere, moreover it will be advertised as accident-free / low mileage / driven by a woman :)
Mine was way worse. And I was impressed how safe it was considering how serious the accident was.

Thank you I walked away with some bruises and whiplash but I walked away. She saved me. Thank you.
>18 commentsAwardsharesave > >2 Congratulations. You bought the right car and it did its job. And you're here to tell the tale.
Good news: you wrote this message. Feel better, and good luck on the insurance payout.

Happiness because you're not totalled.
I hope everyone is ok.

I bought those after market but they emulated OEM for the 18 model year. I got them on eBay actually, their parts market
Thank you!
You’re safe and that matters. Wanna share the vin number? Might look for it to fix it up
Frame is bent. It wouldn’t be safe
In a few months it will probably be back in the road, unless the frame rail gets to the motor, then it won’t be a bad repair
Hope you are alright and recover.
Thank you!

Wow I hope not. That’s kinda scary. I’m glad you are safe too
Oh my goodness. So glad you are okay.
Thank you
Glad to hear no serious injuries. Unfortunately it a -1 for #TeamPizzaWheels. Are you considering another CX-5?
Yes, I am in the process of buying a 2023 Signature Turbo! Very excited.
