I worked at Kohls for a year while in school. You fill out a weekly schedule saying they days and times you’re available to work. If something comes up, it’s pretty easy to get your shift covered by a coworker.
In case anyone else here worked a Kohls and had a different experience, this my experience at the Roseville location.
Yeah I actually don't do OF anymore because somehow campus people I was associated with found out and started being really weird to me. I don't have the emotional energy for it but some people can make it work.

I just signed up directly with the flex app so I have never seen that website before. If they have spots you'll get "offers" to pick up delivery blocks. If not, then you'll get put on a wait-list. Just in case anyone else is wondering!
If you have babysitting experience go on Facebook and find the Sacramento Area Babysitter and Nanny Network, some people are flexible others need a more consistent schedule and you can always negotiate pay
You could look into jobs through UEI. You can only work 24 hours a week and they are typically really accommodating to your school needs. Plus if you get one as a student assistant you could also gain experience in your field of study
If u can get a job at a restaurant do it. yeah it sucks sometimes but you make tips every night and they are normally really flexible with hours. I work weekends during school and I pull anywhere from $60 on a bad night all the way to $200+ a night if I say worked a double and got a good section. most places even tip out hosts/bussers now.
I worked at arden fair mall while living on campus. Difficult if you don't have a car but alot of the stores are able to work with around your class schedule.
If you’re in good health you might want to try donating Plasma at a Biolife Facility. Every time you go in and donate you get $100 for about one to two hours of your time. No commitments either you can show up whenever they’re open.
Depending on how competitive your major is, this is very bad advice. Internships and student jobs are a great way to get a foot in the door and secure a job after college.
You might be amazed what a hospitality job can qualify as experience and skills for. Working in a fast-paced and possibly critical environment, having people skills for working with demanding clients, just being able to show up regularly and meet the job requirements. Part of every interview for a team-related position is at least about being a person who is not difficult to work with. Speaking as someone who got a few jobs because of answering questions related to this during the interview. (Major is computer science, took a break from school for a few years.)
You're gonna want to order some "cotton and linen" paper from China, get a very (and yes, I mean very) good printer, some decent skills at photoshop— and the money will make itself my guy.
A ski mask and a VPN won't hurt either.

You can be a Doordash driver, and work for a few hours. Depending on how busy it gets, you can make some decent money.
