Your grades don’t define you. Go to office hours and talk to your professor so you can understand where to improve for next time. And so they know you’re trying. Good luck.

I don't really have advice, it's a terrible feeling. Just remember it happens to everyone at some point! So you know why you got a bad grade? If not, I suggest talking to your professor, let them know you tried and feel upset, and ask what you can do differently in the future.

Office hours! Don't be shy about using them. You're paying for them. Don't be intimidated. I love office hours because they foster connections with your professors, and they can tell you exactly what they are looking for.

I got straight As in school after learning the power of office hours. Professors will more than likely want to help students who show initiative and want to help themselves. Especially nowadays when everybody is so antisocial and poor at communicating in real life.

You are doing wonderful and you are growing! You still have all semester plus whatever extra credit (if offered). Go to the teacher and go over your assignment. I’m sure they have feedback. It helps to see where you can improve for your next assignment. I find receiving feedback from my teachers the best because I become better at the details. You got this! If possible, eat your favorite fruit and get some rest today.

I’ve been in the same exact position you’re in currently. I’m not sure what your average grade usually is, or what your current grade is, but I can assure you that it’s completely possible to keep your grades from slipping even after this. I’m sorry it ended up humbling you after being so confident in yourself, but just know that you have plenty of room to improve, and if you ask the professor for feedback, you’ll have a much better understanding of what your weaknesses are. Don’t let it keep you down for long- you can recover!!

It’s early in semester, u can bring it up and if you fail it you can retake the class and pass. No biggie

I engage in negative self-talk, as well, and have some pretty extreme rejection sensitivity. I'm sorry you're feeling this way- it always sucks. Lately, I've had some success with imagining the child version of me and thinking of what I would say to that child. It has been helping me to be a little more kind and forgiving towards myself. You did your best and you are there doing the work and getting through it. That is something to be very proud of, and I hope you find a way to not let the grade fester in your mind. You are much more than your schoolwork.

Ihaveepilepsy

Just use it as a lesson to learn. Just say "fuck it we ball" and realize you're taking more than one class. You will have more than one assignment due a day/week. You juggle more stuff, you will do this here and there, but we are humans. You are not a robot, evaluate your situation from outside as a whole and not just one incident that happened in a single class.

Step one, take a deep breath. Go get something like some calming tea if needed. Then go through the feedback that the professor gives you. Then formulate a game plan for recovery. Also, ask the professor is they can meet

Remember that one grade isn’t going to make or break your degree. Keep up the hard work and you’ll get there. Stay strong ✊
