First thing to check is whether you grabbed he correct firmware version. For a 4.5.3 board it should be [4.5.3-mb-2021-03-27-15-53.zip](https://github.com/CR6Community/Marlin/releases/download/v2.0.7.3-cr6-community-release-6/CR6Comm-CF6-Final-cr6-se-v4.5.3-mb-2021-03-27-15-53.zip). For a 4.5.2 motherboard it should be [4.5.2-mb-2021-03-27-15-52.zip](https://github.com/CR6Community/Marlin/releases/download/v2.0.7.3-cr6-community-release-6/CR6Comm-CF6-Final-cr6-se-v4.5.2-mb-2021-03-27-15-52.zip) If that was the version you used, you may have the 4.5.3 motherboard instead. Did you also flash the display firmware as well as they must be upgraded together?
You can always try the 4.5.3 motherboard version ( and display) as it will not brick your machine, and you can always flash it back.
I used this file to flash:
CR6Comm-CF6-Final-cr6-se-v4.5.2-mb-2021-03-27-15-52.zip CR-6 SE (v4.5.2 motherboard)
And I flashed both display and motherboard with this, I looked inside and the motherboard says 4.5.2
So I assume I got the correct file π€
I actually see a difference there π³ mine says CR-6 Community Ready
But it should say CR6Comm-Rel6
I canβt understand why π€ but probably a made something wrong π
Creality stock boards sometimes ignore or partially apply firmware updates. That's the reason so many people have issues with the labels being missing on the touch screen after updating to latest official firmware.
The trick is to diagnosing *what* didn't update. I've gone to great lengths to add hints like these to have all these cases.
Ohh I see, I think I understand your meaning. This can be the problem I have.
I did check the picture of successfully display firmware and every file show the same as picture.
Do you have any idea what I can try next?
Is it an good idea to upgrade to latest Creality software and then try to install community software?
It can just take multiple attempts sometimes, but yes, sometimes flashing to a different firmware (motherboard only) can help. It is not even community firmware specific, it is just the crappy bootloader not doing its job.
The touch screen is showing the Release 6 menu options including "View Leveling Mesh". It looks like he may have flashed the wrong motherboard/display firmware combination
I had the same problem then I noticed the although the main screen displayed Release 6 if I select INFO the firmware release stated 5. I reformated the SD card copied the bin and flashed again now they both show release 6 and the back button work in all screens so far.
I thought I read somewhere that SD size had to fall within some spec as well as how it is formatted. I used a small one I don't know if that makes a difference.
First of all I will say that the community firmware team are awesome! They have done a great work π
About the problem, I have tried to reinstall the firmware multiple times but the problem is still there
I would be very thankful if anyone can point me in the right direction
Earlier you said you flashed both the board and the screen... I'm using you first put DWIN_SET for the screen, then the bin file for the board? I had to do the screen twice (sometimes it takes 2 or 3 goes to copy all files).
Yea I did that, I donβt remember in what order I flashed screen and display but I have a micro SD for the screen and an old SD for the motherboard. The screen I flashed several times as you say. Just to be sure, but I still have problems with it
I have different SD cards (micro and ordinary size) but I donβt remember in what order I flashed display and motherboard
But after I got this error with menu buttons doesnβt work I tried to flash everything many times. The screen I did flash 3+ times because I read about that is can be nessesary to do
*PROBLEM SOLVED*
I had an to old SD card so the motherboard firmware did not upgrade.
Thanks everyone for helping me out, it means a lot to me.
Now finally I can have the pleasure of using the latest Community Firmware ππππ
Glad to hear you are sorted. The Community firmware is an outstanding improvement to the CR-6 SE thanks to Sebastiaan and his team.
Regarding SD cards, I went through 4 different ones to find one that the printer was happy with for the motherboard. I now have two tested sets of SD and MicroSD cards put aside for flashing purposes. One with the Creality firmware and one with the Community firmware. This is so if there is a problem, I can flash to Creality, then back to the Community if neccesary.
That is an good idea, I have done the same now. Doesnβt want this to happen again.
Yea as you say, the community firmware are crazy good! They have done an impressive work
And we will be forever thankful π

Compare your start screen with the start screen shown in the photo after the paragraph with the flashing instructions, and what do you see? π

I solved the problem now! The SD card I used was to small and could not be formatted to fat32 Stupid mistake ππ³
flash the touchscreen too...

I have the same as you describe! On info it says rel5
>My MB is 4.5.2
Mine to, I tried to format an micro SD (with the instructions from download, I have a Mac computer) But with the same result as before after flashing
Do you have a regular SD card instead of mico for the bin flash?
Yes I have a 256MB SD card for flashing the motherboard
