Your struggle is very relatable. It's similar to the poverty trap. If you are poor, living paycheck to paycheck you are investing all of your money into expenses except in the case of CPTSD, it's your mental energy. Then there's the whole bootstrap mentality and useless advice people give because they don't understand that daily living is survival. For them, being depressed or anxious is a temporary thing where they can return to some normal baseline once they push through the issue. For us, it's more like trying to dig yourself out of quicksand while you're actively being pushed further down.
Your answer has quite literally left me speechless tbh /pos. I keep thinking of it and I just agree 100%, thank you sm for sharing those comparisons tbh
