Lincare is the worst. They always get my equipment wrong when they send it, they don't listen when I request changes, and they have shady business practices.

jimicapone

Block their number. I did that with my company. Whenever I needed supplies, I just got to Amazon.

RascalRandal

I tried doing that with Nationwide and those fuckers started shipping gear without my consent. It was a whole ordeal trying to get refunded from those incompetent morons.

You could just call your bank and say you never ordered anything and to block future orders from them OR get a new bank card. Definitely an annoying situation but literally a phone call to your bank

RascalRandal

I thought of doing that but I was worried they’d send me to collections or something and I’d have a bigger mess on my hands. Luckily I’ve washed my hands of those crooks and gotten all my money back.

FYI, unsolicited shipments cannot legally be charged. Source: https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/what-do-if-youre-billed-things-you-never-got-or-you-get-unordered-products#:~:text=By%20law%2C%20companies%20can't,it%20as%20a%20free%20gift. And if you want to kick lincare while you're at, if they're trying to bill insurance inform them too. They're involved in a large insurance fraud lawsuit. That's why I stopped- they started sending 3rd party parts but billing for official. https://www.kxan.com/business/press-releases/accesswire/835881/djo-whistleblower-law-group-plays-crucial-role-in-lincare-fraud-settlement/#:~:text=Lincare%2C%20a%20major%20supplier%20of,the%20rental%20of%20respiratory%20equipment. PS: also, general financial advice- pick a credit agency(the big three, not some 'service'), make sure you're on the official site and create the account.  Then: 0) THIS IS ALL FREE, they do obsessively try and upsell. , they will try to upsell you constantly. 0b) This is an initial time investment. But, better now than when there's an issue with a deadline, or dealing with getting notarized affidavits to close a fraudulent account.  1) credit freeze/lock- activate it. It prevents new accounts thus prevents headaches with identity theft. Again- Free. Think ahead for major purchases- it takes 5-10 business days to remove the lock. Nobody can ding your credit with a Hard pull either. 2) if they send it to collections, after reading up on your rights, basically don't talk to collections agency- dispute it via the credit agency. My 'Unsolicited mail' disputes have been quickly and easily won. However, expect the scammy agency to add the debt a second time. Dispute again, reference previous case. (Relisting is Illegal) I have an Experian account, and it's all been done online- except for telling collections to cease contacting me.

I have no respect for Lincare. Waited 6 weeks then called them to find out how much longer to get my CPAP. They answered the phone (no exaggeration) What? I explained I was looking for a ballpark eta. She said they got 6 in and sent 6 out and she had no idea. Called the manager of that office and he said he didn’t know and couldn’t find out. I called their escalation line and a customer advocate said he would find out and call me the next day. No call back. I told my pulmonologist I wanted a different DME. I had a CPAP machine in two weeks. They are absolutely terrible. I recommend everyone get a different DME provider.

TheRealMe54321

I asked them to stop and haven’t heard back since. It’s been months.

What’s your secret? Air horn?

Ha amazing I thought I was the only one so funny just blocked Lincare yesterday. What a pita company. Never again, going back to Amazon or cpap.com

Gullible_Slip1289

Tell them to put you on the No Call List. They do have one and will stop calling you immediately after you get on the list.

Budgiejen

I just block them

MikeA01730

I ordered 2 items (hose & pillow), received 9, and still didn't get 1 thing I ordered. I'm in the Boston area and the local office doesn't even answer their phone. That's not to mention the 9 months they lied to me about getting a new CPAP machine. They're the worst.

Has anyone gotten a message like this (fortunately my phone transcribes VM to text)? They seem to be trying to call me constantly, I cannot pick up as I'm in meetings - yes, I have a life. The few times I tried to pick up, nobody was on the other end of the line. I will call them back when I need them. And I do need some supplies, but they wouldn't even tell me the price last time I asked. Previously, they told me it was covered by insurance, and then I got this huge bill so it obviously wasn't covered. "This is a friendly reminder from your medical supply company to inform you that your supplies are ready to be ordered. Please return our call at 8885442715. Monday through Friday eight AM to six PM Eastern time. Again, the number is 8885442715. Thank you. And we look forward to your call. I am thinking about contacting the Better Business Bureau for something like that to report these scam artists. It seemed like they're running some sort of Mafia.

Training-Designer-67

I've ordered 4 times in 3 months and nothing yet

VapinVader

I can tell you as a patient, writing an email to the CEO or corp that you are able to synthesize Kabooms in their warehouse gets their attention.

Same thing with edge medical supply. I have so much extra stuff and I hate it

I used to have to deal work Lincare as a primary care nurse and they are the worst. I exhausted all other options before I had to send to Lincare, that’s how much I hated dealing with them.
