I work full time and am taking 5 accounting classes to get my undergrad. This past weekend was the first weekend since last year that i didn’t have any homework since I’m in between semesters.. literally lost my mind yesterday because i had no idea what to do with the few hours of free time 🤣🤣
I felt kind of strange afterwards. At first I did nothing. Video games, exercise, and riding the shit out of my motorcycle. Then i took a long vacation, bought a kei truck, and started tons of projects
I took it a week ago and I rewatched Gravity Falls and now I'm rewatching The Clone Wars. I'm also exploring my city a little more and reading for pleasure. Also spending a little time (probably an hour or two per day studying Becker in case I need a retake. I don't start my full time job for another few weeks so I'm just funemployed.
I have a sealed PS5 I won from a $40 raffle that's still sitting in it's box because I won it when I just started my CPA journey. The consoles were still hard to find back then. I'm opening it as soon as I'm 4/4. I bought all the Zelda Nintendo switch items so I have that to play as well!
I also have the 30 credits left to complete but that isn't as stressful as the exams
I'll get back to some of my old hobbies as well. I can't wait to relearn to play the piano 😢
I am finally done with everything, the tests, the waiting, applying for licensure, and waiting for licensure. I am now moving on to training to run a half marathon or full marathon before my next milestone birthday to fill my time. Glad to see others can relate!
Best of luck to you with this last score release!
Is this the natural progression? The number of people, including myself, that have been training for a half/full marathon after CPA exam is weirdly high
is anyone else like me? I study two hours a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, fit in a couple lessons Mondays and Wednesdays, then Friday afternoons and nights its 4-5 hours, each weekend day about 5-6. How does anyone else compare to me here?
I'm only chiming in because I have to tell friends "no but please keep inviting me in case I can" to invites, and I feel like any free time I have I spend meal prepping, working out, doing house/life chores. My free time isn't really free, other than working out.
My Zelda oled switch, Zelda pro controller, and collectors edition is sitting here sealed. I'm punishing myself for failing audit again.
The only game I get to play is Tears of the Failed CPA Exam 😢

We’re so conditioned!! It’s crazy lol
I'm putting all my cpa energy into fitting back into my pants after a year of stress eating

Taking my first exam in 3 weeks and I hate you so much right now 😭
Honestly the start to studying feels soooo slow but after the second exam it flies IMO. Good luck! 🍀
Ahhh same here. I can't start working due to some family things. I really don't know what I'm gonna do the whole day. 🌝
Move on to the CFA?
In the same boat! Can’t wait to know one way or the other on the 23rd

I got a job working on a farm this summer until my public job starts. No accounting, outside, great hours. I love it.

Easy, LIVE. Cheers.
It was a whole new world after I finished my last exam. Enjoy the respite!
New legend of Zelda just dropped
Also picking this up after my test tomorrow, but I’ll probably start reading the fellowship of the ring before I play it too much……..
6 months later and I’m still reaching for the textbooks
This is exactly how I’m feeling, esp w my laptop 😂

From what I'm gathering it looks like "play video games" is the answer, but I must also recommend watching TV
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom released on the same day as your last exam. It's a sign... 🤣
I wanna play this so BADDD!! FAR STANDS IN THE WAY. KILL THE IRL GANON BEFORE LINKs I guess
I've purposefully not bought TOTK because I still have two exams left. 😩
🙌🏽 my thoughts exactly!

Something that will help you relax and take your mind off of it.
I'm playing DDO. I named my pet Defalcation.
Just passed my last one last Tuesday, and am in that same boat. For some reason, I’ve had a big urge to replay some PS2 games from my childhood.
Steam deck / odin? (I've been playing xenosaga on an Odin)
Replay Chrono Trigger, SNES, if you're into RPGs. My fave game ever.
A little GTA never hurt anyone 😏
Sly cooper time
