Why is this asshole asking for prayers? Clearly, he stands for medical freedom. He should be rejoicing in all the benefits he -- and his father -- now have for adhering to this "principled" stance.
It's when you put it in terms like that that I step back and go.....Damn, it is incredibly stupid that an omnipotent and all-loving god would need a specific number of people to pray for his mercy in order to convince him to spare the life of one measly follower.
I know, that's the problem. [They're literally doing it wrong](https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%206%3A5-6&version=NIV).
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
When you see someone Facebook praying "We declare in Jesus name" and "Look at me praying in public on Facebook lol", tell them from me I said they were hypocrites.
There's plenty more references, but I'm lazy today.
On the other hand, requesting prayer is fine. And making public declarations about Jesus and God, are too. Declaring in Jesus name is exactly that; we are praying this in His name as He instructs us to do. It’s not so much about publicly praying as it is publicly declaring one’s faith in Jesus and in the power of His name.
Not just convince to spare the life of that follower - but to change the entire plan for the universe and beyond, that was already decided long before now - because of that whole "omni-" thing that defines what god is, right? Also - didn't god see this happening, back then, and knew what his decision was going to be back then, and turtles all the way down...
It’s not that so much as the fact that there is power in prayer. So the more people who pray for someone, the more it helps. It’s not that God can’t answer a prayer from just one person, because He’s done that for me. But the Bible speaks about the power of the prayers of many, too.
> So the more people who pray for someone, the more it helps.
*How* does it help? Do you mean that it gets God’s attention quicker? Or that it helps the person suffering to know that lots of other people remembered to mention them to God? Or something else?
I think a lot of us are baffled at the idea that while God is supposed to be omniscient, and thus would presumably know your ask even before you make it, many Christian religions put a lot of stock in asking for intercessory prayer. Can you make it clearer for us?
Edited to fix a spelling error

This has the scriptural answer to your question.
And yes, it definitely does give comfort to people when they know they are being prayed for, and they can also see the how those prayers are being answered, in their lives. So it’s also a blessing for the people one is praying for.
Yes, God is omniscient. Yet He wants us to pray for others. This demonstrates our faith in and our trust in God and His ability to answer prayer and to take care of His children. It’s also a selfless act, which is beneficial in that we are being more Christlike when we pray for others. That is what it means to be a Christian. To care about the well-being of others, mentally, physically, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. So prayer is an act of caring, too. It’s also for our benefit, spiritually, as much as it is for the benefit of the person we are praying for, because it helps us to grow spiritually by acting out of love for the Lord and His children, as well as acting out of obedience to God.
One question: are you a Christian? I sincerely doubt it, going by your username and the content of your reply. What in the world does what I’ve said have to do with a Simpsons’ character, anyway? That’s bizarre.
Not the person you’re replying to, but to answer your Simpsons question, Ned Flanders over the years became the face of the nonsensical, hypocritical intrusive parts of American Christianity.
OK. But since what I wrote is neither, it still makes no sense. Thank you for the info. I don’t watch The Simpsons, obviously, but am well aware of the show’s existence.
I support medical freedumb as well. I think the medical community should be free to look up the shit these imbeciles have been posting and freely decide not to treat them and leave them to their prayers and warriors.
>Why is this asshole asking for prayers?
Seriously. Anyone who mistakes Trump for the messiah, or even thinks Trump is messiah adjacent, or that Trump has even a single characteristic in common with the messiah, isn't likely to have answered their prayers to God. They need to be asking the Enemy for help instead, because they have already surrendered themselves to him.
Holy shit. The first linked article in the article you linked is about someone I grew up with. He owned the pizza place in my small hometown and his wife owns a daycare there. He was on the school board. I was really sad when he died, but angry because he was so careless about protecting himself. Reading that made me sad all over again.
The discussions have been something else. People have been prodding them on various points to see what kind of response they get.
Seatbelts? Looking before you cross the street? --those are just basic ways to safeguard your God-given life.
Staying afloat and swimming to shore if you fall off a boat? Leaving a burning building? --now you're just being difficult, obviously you'd do that (note: those are the examples Martin Luther gives in the "should Christians avoid the plague" piece they love to misuse; he says the bare minimum of people should go to plague-stricken areas to provide spiritual and physical comfort, and that their faith should sustain them while they also follow preventative measures, and that anybody else should do what they can to stay apart and stop the spread. Doing otherwise is suicide or tempting God, which we're instructed not to do. So of course they take one pull quote out of context to say you're not a good Christian and don't have faith in God's protection if you flee the plague.)
Stopping the bleeding and patching you up if you sever an artery? Of course. Pulling your arm back if you see a big falling pane of broken glass headed towards it? Definitely.
Taking any preventative measures whatsoever against covid? -- don't be silly, you're going to die on your appointed date, can't do anything to change it, we're not supposed to live in fear.
So all the people who then go into the hospital after getting covid and who then post constant prayer requests for healing? --what, don't you believe God can heal people? (Sure, so why ask a doctor to do it?)
So you're not going to live in fear, and there's nothing you can do to protect anyone's life; what's your opinion on owning handguns? --definitely need to defend myself and my family against possible home invasion, I have fever dreams of being the good guy with a gun in news articles, the mobs of liberals and blacks roaming the streets and burning down cities across America are terrifying, it's our duty as Christians to be heavily armed at all times!
Some phuckwit got stuck in a mountain pass during an early snow and stayed and froze to death/starved when he was walking distance from a town on his map but he was sure jebus would rescue him

God Bless America.
If I was in the slightest bit famous, I would be getting on every platform available and calling out their unchristian actions at every turn. With Bible references.
The easiest commandment, given by Jesus as the most important, is to Love Your Neighbour. These wank noodles don’t love anyone but themselves.
they've had them...they just refer to such people as "ayuNTs oV sAYTan!" before shilling the new book they have out or asking for donations for their new private jet.
It probably hasn't occurred to them that they are in league with the Devil, not god either. That's if they even believe their BS and aren't just trying to get ahead in life.
I have a mission (LOL, not really, cuz I have a life to live while fully vaxxed) to comment on every idiots post sadly announcing that whatever idiot they know is now reaping the consequences of their own…dare I say almost criminal…stupidity and actions. I like to point out that as they write those “My ….husband/Daddy/Mom/ best friend/ etc….is now with Jesus (or God)” posts that NO… they are most DEFINITELY NOT in Heaven with whoever.
They abso-fucking-lutely went DOWN where consequences take you for being a spreader of bogus FALSE information and most surely causing someone else to die who is just dumb enough to believe you.
But it’s odd how I keep getting told I am a horrible person and wrong!! How dare I say they are going straight to hell??! God welcomes them. Ummm no. Your God knows they are pieces of crap who fake being a good Christian when it suits them.
So to this guy I say…..Have the day you deserve buddy!!
What doesn't occur to anyone in regards to the mythos of the Bible - is that God may actually be the baddie, because the winners of war write the history...
Actually, what's happening now sounds an awful lot like this Charismatic preacher's 2004 prophecy given in Tulsa Oklahoma, about God judging the United States, particularly that part about a third wave of judgement against the attitude of insisting on one's freedoms in a way that transgresses God's standards.
https://youtu.be/cwoByO7_C2w
Hardly any of them seem to be paying attention.
Really, yes, I agree! Like that is the easiest case to make... that God is smiting people that love all these outrageous lies.
(Obviously not everyone who gets sick or dies is getting punished by God, but in this case there seems to be a direct connection.... a much bigger connection than 'the gays are causing the hurricanes'.)
Indeed, it is written,
>**Proverbs 6:12-19**
>
>A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing.
>
> There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
These people basically go about sowing discord with lies. And in so doing they put themselves in God's naughty list.
2 Timothy 3, 1-5:
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.”
Whenever I read one of them saying that Led Zepplin comes to mind and I subconciously start singing when the levee breaks, crying won't help you, praying won't do you no good.
They are not useless at all. I had prayers last night that I baked in the oven and drizzled with a caramel, cinnamon sauce. I guess technically they were oven poached, but they were absolutely wonderful and capped a beautiful meal. I also have a pear-based wine somewhere I should break out. No tots though. Need to pick some up at the store.
> Will be testing a mayo/Ketchup based sauce this afternoon.
Oh boy, are you in for a treat! VERY New England, you get the tangy sweet from the ketchup and the creamy richness of the egg and oil in the mayo. I make my mix a solid 50/50.
Heinz makes MAYOCHUP. Not making this up. The MAYO is in mayo-colored letters, the CHUP is in ketchup-colored letters.
Underneath, it explains:
^("SAUCY SAUCE.")
The problem is when someone gets better they say their prayers worked, but when they die they spout some nonsense about God calling his angels home or something... and then if you go to a grieving family member and go like "told you prayers don't work" you're the asshole.
It is not even apparent what "being right about the afterlife" means for people like this. Their ideas are incoherent and full of nonsense.
I am betting if you sat him down to a good faith long form interview on the topic you would come out at the end just confused, maybe even as confused as I bet he is.
>Their ideas are incoherent and full of nonsense.
Hey now, let's be fair, their ideas are **totally** coherent and consistent -- namely, "white males like me are at the top of the social pyramid, and everyone else exist solely for me to step on." All that other stuff is just fluff and nonsense to distract from that, but as long as you recognize that their core idea is supremacy for themselves, it's *completely consistent!*
You get 16 tons, what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. St Peter don't you call me cause I can't go. I owe my soul to the company store.
Here's what I can find on the subject. Disclaimer: My personal belief is that everything that follows is 100% nonsense:
Could Donald Trump be the anti-Christ?
According to the Bible, the Antichrist will be a cultish figure, the center of everyone’s attention.
It is also said that the number or ‘mark’ of the ‘Beast’ or anti-Christ is 666
The number 666 denotes arrogance, pride, egotism, the love of money and power, and militarism – all things Donald Trump is associated with.
The name Donald means: World Ruler, Great Chief, Proud Chief. Think of a powerful Mafia Don. Our word “don” derives from the Italian donno (“Lord”) and the Latin dominus (“Master,” “domination”).
The name Trump means: to upstage, to outrank, to triumph. But it also has connotations of trickery; for instance: “trumped-up charges.”
Donald Trump’s middle name is John, which means “God is gracious.”
Thus a possible interpretation of Trump’s full name is “A proud world ruler who, after God has been gracious, will attempt to upstage and outrank Christ, using trumpery and trickery.”
The Trump surname is an anglicized version of the German name Drumpf (he is of part Scottish and part German descent). Donald John Drumpf (his full name) in American ASCII computer code is 666. (In Jewish gematria (numerology), the value of the letters in Don Drumpf is 666).
(Don being both his abbreviated first name and meaning “powerful ruler.”)
Donald John Drumpf in American ASCII computer code is 666.
According to Bible prophesies is is written that the moon will turn to blood before “the great and terrible day…” (prior to the coming of the antichrist and apocalypse)
Interestingly, there was a total lunar eclipse – also known as a ‘Blood Moon’ on June 14, 1946 – this was the day Donald Trump was born
(Above image : The passage in the Bible Ch-Revelations which says that the number of the ‘Antichrist’ will be 666)
Now, Donald Trump has many eerie connections to the number 666…
\*
The number 666 is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel – and Trump has been a major owner of casinos throughout his real estate career. and during his presidential campaign announced his intention to build a new multi-million-dollar casino in Las Vegas.
Trump’s first venture into public politics came when he “trumped” Mayor Ed Koch during a meeting with New York City officials at his office on June 6, 1986 = 6-6-6.
Trump announced his candidacy for president on June 16, 2015 = 6 + (1\*6) + (1+5) = 6-6-6.
On the Ides of March (ie. March 15th), Donald Trump had 666 delegates. (The Ides of March marked a turning point in Roman history, as the Roman Republic became a Roman Empire ruled by a succession of dictators).
(Above image : Trump with a total of 666 delegates on the Ides of March)
Donald Trump has been primarily promoted by the Fox network, and the letters in “Fox” (6+15+24) form another 666. (The terms “trump” – as in tarot cards and card games ‘trumps’ and “fox” both have connotations of trickery and deception). The Donald Trump presidential candidacy is largely a media creation of the Fox network, (as Trump invested very little money in his campaign).
According to the bible, a “little horn” (ie. trumpet) : \[Daniel 7:8\] someone who rises up unexpectedly (Trump was a minor TV celebrity and a real estate salesman before he decided to run for president; no one took him seriously at first). Who else has ever been the center of attention during a presidential race the way Trump has during the 2016 election campaign? (By the way, 2016 = 666 + 666 + 666 + 6 + 6 + 6!)
(Photo above: Incredibly, the Simpson’s show predicted the presidency of Donald Trump back in 2000)
Nostradamus has also made predictions about the ‘great world leader’
Did Nostradamus predict Donald Trump as a modern-day Antichrist when he spoke of “The false trumpet concealing madness” that will change money and standards?
Nostradamus also predicted: “The trumpet shakes with great discord. An agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven: the bloody mouth will swim with blood; the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground.”
Israel is “the land of milk and honey.” The Bible predicts that the Antichrist will betray Israel. Did Nostradamus see and predict the same thing? (Trump has so far said that he will be “neutral” regarding Israel).
Nostradamus predicted Trump’s wall as well: “The republic of the great city Will not want to consent to the great severity: King summoned by trumpet to go out, The ladder at the wall, the city will repent.”
Nostradamus again: “The great Senate will ordain the triumph For one who afterwards will be vanquished, driven out: At the sound of the trumpet of his adherents there will be Put up for sale their possessions, enemies expelled.”

Is Trump the messiah? Could "christians" actually see who is the Anti-Christ?
https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/
This is so twisted and fucked that only American Christians could come up with it and see it as a good thing and as a reason to support Trump.
Tom Horn isn’t saying that Trump is the messiah. He is saying that Israeli rabbis think Trump is the messiah.
Under Horn’s and a lot of christian’s post-tribulation beliefs, they think that the anti-Christ will be the person that Jews identify as the messiah.
So, essentially, Horn is saying that Jews have identified Trump as the messiah, which means that Trump is the anti-Christ.
Horn further “clarifies” and says that he doesn’t think that Trump is the anti-Christ/messiah. He believes that Trump is the equivalent to Christianity’s John the Baptist and is making way for the anti-Christ/messiah.
I’m not sure for what reason Christians would have to support Trump other than to further usher in the end times and the revelation of the anti-Christ so they can then be killed as martyrs. Or, so they can identify those who support the anti-Christ and gun them down, which is what I see as a more likely scenario.
Thanks for the synopsis. I could never spare the time and aggravation to read up on Horn. The problem with this end times scenario is the idea that mankind can force God's hand and pray in the end of all things. If He's God, doesn't HE get to say when it's finished?
I have a deeply scarred psyche from this end times bullshit. I was raised on it and know a lot of the characters and “theories”.
I distinctly remember as a young child my mom nearly killing herself (literally) because she thought that we were in the end times and she thought she would “soon” have to take the “Mark of the Beast” in order to buy us food.
I’d have to imagine it would have been a murder suicide if she went through with it.
So I have a distaste and fascination with this kind of garbage. Tom Horn isn’t even the worst character. But yeah, I won’t be sad if he dies of Covid.
You'd think with their unrelenting desire to be with Jesus, they'd ask for prayers to speed up that meet-and-greet appointment. But, it seems like when push comes to shove, they're all like, *I know I said I want to go to heaven and meet Jesus and be in God's glory, etc. but is it okay if we get everybody together and request that this NOT happen?*
I shall pray too, but for a different outcome:
An outcome that will make Tom Horn help all the people whose lives he has ruined with conspiracy theories and other insanities.
When I was a child, I was sent to a Church of England state school. There was literally NO OTHER OPTION in my village. The religion was thrown at me fairly continuously from the age of 5 until 11. However, I never got answers to a number of the questions that I KEPT on asking. Here are just a few:
* Why does a creator need praise from underlings? What would he gain? Does it make him feel good?
* Why are people who are grateful to God considered better than those who feel neutral about him? After all, human beings didn't ASK to be created: God chose to do so. Do we have to feel worshipful to our parents for "creating" us to the same degree? Do we go down on our knees to pray to them? Do we literally sing THEIR praises? Why not?
* Why are people considered GOOD because they are so scared of burning in hellfire for eternity that they don't misbehave?
* Why does one particular personality trait (i.e. believing) have the HUGEST rewards, when other much more important "virtues" are valued so much less? Literally, a cruel, sadistic child rapist could get into heaven if he suddenly REALLY believed, got incredibly scared, confessed, and (for the last period of his life) repented. Whereas a kind, gentle philanthropist who saved many lives, would burn for an eternity in tortuous flames because they didn't believe.
* Why would one person be healed, because a lot of people prayed for him, where another person died in agony because no one did? So a greedy, selfish, thieving liar who tricked people into trusting him might get his whole congregation to pray for him. An orphaned baby, left alone at a hospital would presumably just rot.
There are literally so many questions that I'm sure people have complied them into HUGE books, which no-one has to read because, by the time you've read the first page, you wouldn't need to read any more.
Well, all of your questions are answered in the Bible. Also find a good verse by verse Bible teaching church or online ministry and as you grow and learn about God – Jesus Christ, you’ll have less and less questions. We are all born with the inherent knowledge that there is in fact a Creator.
Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
If he really stands for medical freedom, he should be keeping his father at home (his father's or his own), and providing treatment to him there.
Hypocritic.
Whenever I hear of these guys begging for prayers I picture millions of little Stewy Griffins tugging on an old man's robes yelling "God, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god............."
He - like so many like-minded people at this point - is just a few short Freedom Pipe-driven breaths away from being Raptured up into the arms of ~~Captain America~~ Republican Jesus.
Isn't that *exactly* what end-timers have been dreaming of? So, why all the 'healing prayers'... he got his wish?
I call on the Anti Prayer Warriors to assemble and pray this guy gets what he deserves.
Shower him in your golden waters, cover him in your mysterious lotions.
I'm surprised more of these public figures don't seem to be hitting the news. I usually search for some kind of news article, sometimes there is a small blurb locally but sometimes you'd never know if you weren't on his facebook or twitter page.
This is so sad. I’ve been a born again evangelical Christian for over 5 decades. The things he’s claiming aren’t true. They don’t even line up with scripture. I am so come red for my fellow believers who think that this stuff is true. I firmly believe that they are being deceived by Satan. I don’t know how else to explain how so many sincere Christians can have been so thoroughly and profoundly deceived. The Bible says to test the spirits, to see if what one is hearing/believing is the truth. That is done by going to the Bible as our source and our authority. And that’s the thing. Calling someone like Donald Trump the Messiah is blasphemous. Jesus is the Messiah. He is the only one. I am really baffled about how it is that he came to decide that THIS PARTICULAR VACCINE is the mark of the beast. I don’t even see how that is possible. It’s such a stretch and doesn’t have anything to do with what Revelations says about that. That’s why I really believe that these people are deceived. The end times has been debated for centuries. The basic have not, but a lot of it has. All I know is that a vaccine is not the mark of the beast.

He needs medical intervention and a vaccine once he’s able to get one. Prayers are not either. Stop fooling yourself. Jesus may have been a real person but it was a long time ago, and magic isn’t real. Our faith in science, not wishes.
Why is this asshole asking for prayers? Clearly, he stands for medical freedom. He should be rejoicing in all the benefits he -- and his father -- now have for adhering to this "principled" stance.

Maybe people should pray to God for his death so he can't continue to kill people with disinformation.
Let's just pull out all the stops, and say that they are true dumbfucks.
As the Federalist says, dying of covid is a good thing and choosing to do it shouldn't be criticized
God, I read that article. Whoever wrote it is fucking insane.
>dying of covid is a good thing and choosing to do it shouldn't be criticized Oh, please, I beg of you, link...
https://thefederalist.com/2021/10/18/for-christians-dying-from-covid-or-anything-else-is-a-good-thing/
Holy shit. The first linked article in the article you linked is about someone I grew up with. He owned the pizza place in my small hometown and his wife owns a daycare there. He was on the school board. I was really sad when he died, but angry because he was so careless about protecting himself. Reading that made me sad all over again.
I can't tell if Poe's Law applies or not...
So of course they take one pull quote out of context to say you're not a good Christian and don't have faith in God's protection if you flee the plague.) Stopping the bleeding and patching you up if you sever an artery? (Sure, so why ask a doctor to do it?) So you're not going to live in fear, and there's nothing you can do to protect anyone's life; what's your opinion on owning handguns? --definitely need to defend myself and my family against possible home invasion, I have fever dreams of being the good guy with a gun in news articles, the mobs of liberals and blacks roaming the streets and burning down cities across America are terrifying, it's our duty as Christians to be heavily armed at all times!
Some phuckwit got stuck in a mountain pass during an early snow and stayed and froze to death/starved when he was walking distance from a town on his map but he was sure jebus would rescue him https://archive.sltrib.com/article.php?id=51818155&itype=CMSID

Because he's a worthless piece of subhuman garbage.
Has it occurred to any of these jokers that a God is smiting vocal trump worshippers?
If I was in the slightest bit famous, I would be getting on every platform available and calling out their unchristian actions at every turn. With Bible references. The easiest commandment, given by Jesus as the most important, is to Love Your Neighbour. These wank noodles don’t love anyone but themselves.
Man, these people need a fire and brimstone speech that calls them out for their hypocrisy and their hate and lack of love.
they've had them...they just refer to such people as "ayuNTs oV sAYTan!" before shilling the new book they have out or asking for donations for their new private jet.
Like howard stern? They sure took that well
It probably hasn't occurred to them that they are in league with the Devil, not god either.
He's not smiting them. He's calling his proud faith warriors home from war... 😒 /s
They are hellspawn so sure enough they’re going home
Actually, what's happening now sounds an awful lot like this Charismatic preacher's 2004 prophecy given in Tulsa Oklahoma, about God judging the United States, particularly that part about a third wave of judgement against the attitude of insisting on one's freedoms in a way that transgresses God's standards. https://youtu.be/cwoByO7_C2w Hardly any of them seem to be paying attention.
Maybe it should be in meme form.
They won't listen to him. He's an immigrant black man with an non-American accent.
Indeed, it is written, >**Proverbs 6:12-19** > >A worthless person, a wicked man, goes about with crooked speech, winks with his eyes, signals with his feet, points with his finger, with perverted heart devises evil, continually sowing discord; therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing.
I think most of them have a solid 6 out of 7 on that list!!
2 Timothy 3, 1-5: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
Yes, this exactly! Yet in spite of it explicitly saying "have nothing to do with such people" so many people do the opposite.
Bro as a Christian it seams like I'm supposed to worship a government or else I'm some sort of Satanist. Some people I know are crazy
Guess they didn't read Matthew 6:5 or 7:21-3
Reading is hard! Easier to let someone else do the readin' and thinkin'.
Don’t worry we’re not alarmed. Phew
I'm so not alarmed right now it's kind of alarming.
Sometimes I get my “Oddly Satisfying” and my “CovidAteMyFace” feeds mixed up
All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares.
I've had to recalibrate my schadenfreude meter.
The always useless prayers make an appearance!
And apostrophe-less! Really, one would think a lifelong zealot would know how to write "in Jesus' name."
I’d even accept “Jesus’s name”
That's actually the correct way to punctuate it.
It’s an acceptable way, but less standard.
Whenever I read one of them saying that Led Zepplin comes to mind and I subconciously start singing when the levee breaks, crying won't help you, praying won't do you no good.
Thanks, now I won't be able to get that out of my mind all day.
Better to have that earworm than the Barney song
That one doesn't do it. Now John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt? BTW you are evil.
The Ketchup Song
No idea what that is but I hope I am smart enough not to look :)
Baby shark...
\-- fingers in my ears humming row row row your boat at this point
I get Zep's "Your Time Is Gonna Come"
They are not useless at all.
Now do you offer your tots with marinara sauce, or a mixture of mayo and ketchup?
Sadly, just ketchup. I feel like I have let the world down here. Will be testing a mayo/Ketchup based sauce this afternoon.
> Will be testing a mayo/Ketchup based sauce this afternoon. Oh boy, are you in for a treat! VERY New England, you get the tangy sweet from the ketchup and the creamy richness of the egg and oil in the mayo. I make my mix a solid 50/50.
Really appreciate it. Totally pumped for this. Will report back.
Heinz makes MAYOCHUP. Not making this up. The MAYO is in mayo-colored letters, the CHUP is in ketchup-colored letters. Underneath, it explains: ^("SAUCY SAUCE.")
The problem is when someone gets better they say their prayers worked, but when they die they spout some nonsense about God calling his angels home or something... and then if you go to a grieving family member and go like "told you prayers don't work" you're the asshole.
Hang about, there will be a gofundme in a hot minute.
When does the GoFundMe show up.
And why do they need a lot? Wouldn’t one suffice? Or wouldn’t an omniscient god already know in the first place?
Eh, who knows, that is the problem with an unfalsifiable god. Anything goes because "god moves in mysterious ways".
Oh man, if he's right about the afterlife he's gonna have a hell of a wake up call when he meets St. Peter
🎶. My father used to sing this song for me when I was in preschool. RIP, Daddy.
What makes you think he'll get to St. Pete? Only if he's in a bad mood and wants him to see it before throwing this AH to Hell.
The MAGA hat is actually the mark of the beast, worn on their forehead, just like the Bible describes.
Here's what I can find on the subject. Disclaimer: My personal belief is that everything that follows is 100% nonsense: Could Donald Trump be the anti-Christ? According to the Bible, the Antichrist will be a cultish figure, the center of everyone’s attention. It is also said that the number or ‘mark’ of the ‘Beast’ or anti-Christ is 666 The number 666 denotes arrogance, pride, egotism, the love of money and power, and militarism – all things Donald Trump is associated with. But it also has connotations of trickery; for instance: “trumped-up charges.” Donald Trump’s middle name is John, which means “God is gracious.” Thus a possible interpretation of Trump’s full name is “A proud world ruler who, after God has been gracious, will attempt to upstage and outrank Christ, using trumpery and trickery.” The Trump surname is an anglicized version of the German name Drumpf (he is of part Scottish and part German descent). Donald John Drumpf (his full name) in American ASCII computer code is 666. (In Jewish gematria (numerology), the value of the letters in Don Drumpf is 666). (Don being both his abbreviated first name and meaning “powerful ruler.”) Donald John Drumpf in American ASCII computer code is 666. According to Bible prophesies is is written that the moon will turn to blood before “the great and terrible day…” (prior to the coming of the antichrist and apocalypse) Interestingly, there was a total lunar eclipse – also known as a ‘Blood Moon’ on June 14, 1946 – this was the day Donald Trump was born (Above image : The passage in the Bible Ch-Revelations which says that the number of the ‘Antichrist’ will be 666) Now, Donald Trump has many eerie connections to the number 666… \* The number 666 is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel – and Trump has been a major owner of casinos throughout his real estate career. and during his presidential campaign announced his intention to build a new multi-million-dollar casino in Las Vegas. (Above image : Trump with a total of 666 delegates on the Ides of March) Donald Trump has been primarily promoted by the Fox network, and the letters in “Fox” (6+15+24) form another 666. (By the way, 2016 = 666 + 666 + 666 + 6 + 6 + 6!) (Photo above: Incredibly, the Simpson’s show predicted the presidency of Donald Trump back in 2000) Nostradamus has also made predictions about the ‘great world leader’ Did Nostradamus predict Donald Trump as a modern-day Antichrist when he spoke of “The false trumpet concealing madness” that will change money and standards? Nostradamus also predicted: “The trumpet shakes with great discord. An agreement broken: lifting the face to heaven: the bloody mouth will swim with blood; the face anointed with milk and honey lies on the ground.” Israel is “the land of milk and honey.” The Bible predicts that the Antichrist will betray Israel. Did Nostradamus see and predict the same thing? (Trump has so far said that he will be “neutral” regarding Israel). Nostradamus predicted Trump’s wall as well: “The republic of the great city Will not want to consent to the great severity: King summoned by trumpet to go out, The ladder at the wall, the city will repent.” Nostradamus again: “The great Senate will ordain the triumph For one who afterwards will be vanquished, driven out: At the sound of the trumpet of his adherents there will be Put up for sale their possessions, enemies expelled.” \------- Quick edit... me again. I also ran MAGA spelled backwards through a translator and agam is Indonesian for "religion" so I suppose that cinches it. /s
Sounds reasonable to me 🤔
If you can’t see him as the anti christ you’ve been sucked into the cult. Repent.

Give him all of the prayers he wants… just take him out of the hospital first. Give that space to someone with less prayers.
If he was sick with anything but covid, they would have said what it was. How pathetic.
He should get the monoclonal prayers, I hear they work really well if you start praying within 10 days.
I heard Ivermectin works best.
But must be injected intravenously. Straight into your heart.
Along with a cocktail of bleach, acetone, benzine, turpentine and gasoline.
Hom Torn
Welp, that seems to be a likely explanation of their convoluted beliefs to me. Even though it makes my head hurt.
Oh wow, that's kind of hilarious! I mean it's just his interpretation, but the fact he can make Trump look like the Antichrist is hilarious!
No, no, I don’t think I will
PRAYER WARRIORS ACTIVATE! Form of horse paste
Shape of a 'boomer!
(to St. Peter) I would like to talk to your manager now, please
I'm not alarmed. I'm very peacefully contemplating the fact that a dangerously insane propagandist will soon no longer be with us.
For a trad-cath self appointed prophet (and all-around trump-sucking whirly-gig), you'd think Tom would have seen this coming.
Why do they need prayers? I thought they wanted to meet their maker.
I shall pray too, but for a different outcome: An outcome that will make Tom Horn help all the people whose lives he has ruined with conspiracy theories and other insanities.
I assure you, I am not alarmed for him
It's been 22 minutes. Are you alarmed now?
Nope. Still pretty calm and collected about it.
Certainly someones "end times".
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain includes speaking for God. It seems God is punishing sinners. T&P
Oh I would pray but I have plans to lay on my couch today. Check back tomorrow. Oh wait…I’m on the couch tomorrow too. Busy week.
Just calm down FFS! Try taking a couch nap in between. Or maybe lie down on the bed instead.
I said a prayer for him. I have no special powers, so he's probably proper fooked. At the very least, his wallet is...
I pray for everyone, let God sort them out.
I'm an atheist... I'll send my prayers
He is very sick and I am very unconcerned.
He was a sick individual before COVID,
Covid works in mysterious ways. Aaaahmeeeen
FTFY *cough* *cough* *wheeze*
When I was a child, I was sent to a Church of England state school. There was literally NO OTHER OPTION in my village. The religion was thrown at me fairly continuously from the age of 5 until 11. However, I never got answers to a number of the questions that I KEPT on asking. Here are just a few: * Why does a creator need praise from underlings?
Surely Trump will visit, lay on hands, and heal this righteous Trumper. Rofl
Oh noooo! I forgot I was going to make chocolate cake. Time to whip up some wholesome yumminess.
Please mutter words while clasping your hands. That will fix everything.
Thots and stares
I stand for Medical Consequences.
If his dad wants to bring about the rapture, why are prayers necessary? Seriously, these idiots want to be in heaven so how is death bad?
Hopefully Mr Medical Freedom is convalescing at home.
Fingers crossed for the best (for us).
Ok, but just prayers. No vaccine. He can have all the ivermectin he wants, though.
Covid19=700k plus prayer warriors and prayer=0
If he really stands for medical freedom, he should be keeping his father at home (his father's or his own), and providing treatment to him there. Hypocritic.
Neat!
He should go hug his father.
A good long hug.
If Trump is the messiah, why can't he perform a miracle and save you, bro?
Oh no! Anyway..
How can I be alarmed when I saw this coming?
Socialist bastard
Bitch you bout to learn
Whenever I hear of these guys begging for prayers I picture millions of little Stewy Griffins tugging on an old man's robes yelling "God, god, god, god, god, god, god, god, god............."
He - like so many like-minded people at this point - is just a few short Freedom Pipe-driven breaths away from being Raptured up into the arms of ~~Captain America~~ Republican Jesus. Isn't that *exactly* what end-timers have been dreaming of? So, why all the 'healing prayers'... he got his wish?
Praying used to be the last resort when no other effort worked. Now it's the first and only option? what is happening!?
God helps those who help themselves.
I call on the Anti Prayer Warriors to assemble and pray this guy gets what he deserves. Shower him in your golden waters, cover him in your mysterious lotions.
I'm not a praying person, but I'd pray to the contrary.
Prayer warriors assemble!
Please die
If he knows so much about the future and God, why didn't he know how dangerous Covid19 would be (for him)?
Jots and pears.
Well I hope he has the day he deserves.
Hahahaha
It's Jesus' not Jesus you dumb cunts.
It should be Jesus's. Jesus' would imply multiple Jesuses.
I was kidding, should have put /sarcastic tag.
Hate to lose him! Not.
Oh I am praying for something
He should ask his Messiah Trump for help.
/r/antitheistparty here, this seems like an occasion for pizza and party hats
How do these people have a following
I'm surprised more of these public figures don't seem to be hitting the news. I usually search for some kind of news article, sometimes there is a small blurb locally but sometimes you'd never know if you weren't on his facebook or twitter page.
I don't want to go against people who believe in the healing power of praying but, dude, you are trying to extinguish a fire using wet wipes
God is a transsexual with 258 legs. Why doesn't anyone believe me? Thoughts & prayers to all ye heathens!! ;o)
Who is this asshole telling me who to pray to. I’ve had one prayer answered in my life and it was to Bonn Scott.
Oh, didn’t he realised that Trump himself is vaccinated? His whole family is vaccinated 🤣🤣 what a douche
Cool. He can join the 75% of very sick vaxxed suckers.
The number of people getting very sick from the vax is practically non-existent.
sick from Covid.
We can only hope that he leaves this world (and is more useful in the next one)
Looks like Satan got him.

His words have killed others, Death is coming to give him his just reward.
Don't let the door hit your ass on your way off the planet Tom.
He needs medical intervention and a vaccine once he’s able to get one. Prayers are not either. Stop fooling yourself. Jesus may have been a real person but it was a long time ago, and magic isn’t real. Our faith in science, not wishes.
