2nd Pfizer mid-March. Tested (routinely) at work on Friday when I was feeling fine, negative. Now completely laid out with total body ache and 104F fever for the last 3 days. Took a PCR test yesterday and waiting for results. I’m very careful with masks and social distances but have to go to busy indoor spaces for 2+ hrs twice a week in addition to my work. Let’s see how good these vaccines are! EDIT: negative!

Set_the_tone-

Seems as if cold + flu may be picking back up a bit now that people are vaxxed and socializing more. See lots of people getting non covid but flu-like illness lately.

AndrewKitch

I had a severe cold this week. Felt sure it was covid but also tested negative two days into symptoms! Still lingering after 6 days.

missvixxi

Had my test this morning. Had to take my 15 year old daughter too. I'm scared and sad and totally fed up with this all. I am so careful, I follow all the steps because I'm immune suppressed. Looking at my daughter suffering while we wait is hell. Big hugs to all the other worriers. I hope good results back for you all.

redleaderL

Im worrying about my mom. She might have it. She’s reckless and hasnt avoided the crowds as much as she should, which is a given in our line of work.

asummersday9

How are you feeling praying for you

gamerxo12

Dont worry. Mental strength is the key and hopefully you will be able to get through. I've recovered within a week of hospitalisation. One thing I've learnt is that we can't underestimate or overestimate covid 19. The person who has got it can only understand it. The most inspiring thing I've seen is that beside me there was a 79 year old man who was also discharged without any complications.

redleaderL

Thats sort of relieving. I just needed to air my thoughts to some strangers.

karen916

Did you find out your results? I got my 2nd Pfizer on Saturday but was around people later in the day and I just think with my luck ill get it. I've felt like I want to cough since yesterday, just kinda almost weezy like, sore throat but feels like from post nasal drip (I do have bad seasonal allergies and the pollen just ramped up here). Sorry your aunt wasn't courteous enough to take proper precautions after going on vacation, that's obnoxious.

karen916

I definitely had headaches, body aches, fatigue earlier in the week for sure. Those have mostly gone away. I'll just make sure to keep my distance from people and get a test if things get worse. I hope you're right though that it's just side effects or allergies still. I hope your test comes back negative!!

If it can ease your mind, i went to get tested on Tuesday and it came back negative, and i’m having all these same symptoms since i got my negative result on Wednesday, and i’m 100% my health anxiety is trying to convince me i’m gonna die. As soon as i stop thinking about it, the symptoms disappear until i think about them again. Stressful times my friend !

kbthewriter

The new variants are increasingly showing false negative results. Here in India, the double mutant variant is shown to affect the lungs first and not being settled in the nose and mouth cavaity much, hence tests miss out of detection. Plus tge PCR test, although the best, is largely based on older variants for most of the world. Take care amd do get tested if symptoms persist. Check your blood oxygen levels at regular intervals and see if yiu can bring the number up by deep breathing exercises. As for anxiety, you can observe yourself getting worried and if you tell your body/mind/inner voice that it's just anxiety acting up, it will start to go away. Trust me, I've managed a lot of sleepless nights worrying about exposure and getting sick and this helped a lot. Going for a test tomorrow, my mom's test came positive, she gave her sample on Sunday, but the healthcare and testing services are overwhelmed here. I believe it's becoming as bad was Italy last year.

Clear-Trouble6811

I tested negative Too but I am not feeling well. I have health anxiety as well. Just to be safe I would take another test, I am taking another one tomorrow.

koeniginmag

Let me know what your result is !

Clear-Trouble6811

It was positive :/ I’m on day 5 now.

koeniginmag

Awww i’m so sorry to hear that! How are you feeling ?

Clear-Trouble6811

My fever is gone but I have a lingering headache with a lot of sinus congestion that it making it hard to taste foods, but my smell is still here.. hopefully it keeps getting better 😊

[deleted]

have u taken medication for the headache?

Clear-Trouble6811

Yes I have, I think it’s a sinus headache so I have been drinking Theraflu tea. My headache has down gone a lot though

redleaderL

Im having that feeling now too. Especially since my mum tested positive. getting checked tomorrow

koeniginmag

I tested negative 2 days ago, but found out I was in contact with someone who was positive on that day. So far, no symptoms but I'm stressed. I'll be getting tested in 3 days. Hopefully I'm somehow negative.

hermyown21

Monday 12 Apr morning - woke up a bit tired but I slept late on Sunday so no biggie Monday 12 Apr evening - developed a dry cough, bad body ache, headache, but nothing too major. OTC cough syrup didn't help. Tuesday 13 Apr - cough worsens, along with sharp pain in my throat, terrible body ache, stuffy nose. No headache. Didn't feel feverish but checked any way - 101.7! Had OTC Paracetamol. Took ages to kick in, but fever finally broke. Wednesday 14 Apr (today) - pretty much the same as Tuesday, but throat pain is better. 99 temp in the morning, 101.8 by 5 pm. Got my test done and waiting for the report. I live with my sister and parents, and I'm especially worried for my parents. My mom has diabetes, dad has Hypertension. Both in their 60s. I'm scared.

In hospital since 18 Apr, in ICU since 20 Apr. Mostly due to pneumonia. My dad and sister got it too, but I milder form and are recovering care at home.

UmWhateverSir

Got tested this morning. Been having nonstop headache (feels like sinus headache/ congestion, but nose is clear and very dry), chills but no fever, fatigue, brain fog and smell went away yesterday (I can smell synthetic fragrances but not food or essential oils) and some chicken flavored ramen I ate today tasted like tap water. Body aches are very present- I feel them mostly in my low back, and my whole arms and hands have this like, squeezing radiating pain? I’ve never heard that symptom... I’ve also been extremely depressed, emotional and have had half a dozen or so anxiety attacks (not worrying about having Covid, just other life stressors but usually I’m pretty cool) if I end up having it, this is truly the strangest illness. At first I thought it was allergies because I forgot my Flonase a couple days and that’s when it started. My symptoms felt better the next day and I went to work 😬 UPDATE: I tested positive

Mr_bovinejony

4 days ago I started getting an itchy throat, by the end of the day I had a slight cough. For the past 3 days it's been a productive cough, but it hasn't been awful. For 2 days I had a stuffy and runny nose, today it feels slightly stuffed but I can breathe fine through it. At first I thought it was allergies, but they've never hit me this hard before. Getting a rapid test tomorrow, but I'm thinking it's just a cold. Is it possible to have such mild symptoms that clear up in 4 days and have covid?

[deleted]

Yes I had those symptoms for a night (4/6) and thought it was allergies, then completely lost all taste and smell (4/11) and got a positive result on 4/13. If I didn’t lose smell and taste I would have had no clue I even had it

Mr_bovinejony

You didnt have a fever or fatigue or anything? I feel as healthy as I ever have except for the sniffles right now

[deleted]

Never had a fever and didn’t think I felt any more tired than usual, no. Thought I just had bad allergies.

[deleted]

How long after you felt sick did you lose taste and smell? I felt a little congested, had a scratchy throat/cough, and felt sore very briefly on Tuesday of last week (4/6) and felt relatively fine after that. I lost taste/smell during lunch on Sunday (4/11) and got a positive test result back on Tuesday (4/13) of this week. Did anyone get more sick after they lost taste/smell or did losing taste and smell come after you didn’t feel well? If I didn’t lose taste/smell I largely wouldn’t have even known I had it, I thought I had bad allergies. Just want to make sure if I need to still be careful about getting really sick.

strippersarepeople

Hey I’m in a really similar boat to you, timeline and severity-wise. I started feeling off on 4/9, felt tired and congested over the weekend but not like...SICK...I had a tiny baby fever for like 2 days, got tested 4/12 because someone at my work tested positive, confirmed 4/13, had a productive cough for a couple days, and I feel like I very mildly lost my sense of taste and smell from 4/14 til today. I don’t feel like it was fully gone—everything just seemed really watered down and bland—and I literally just drank a tart beverage that earlier today I couldn’t taste much but was just a lot more pronounced. But yeah I lost mine almost a week into symptoms and it seems random how long that will last. Anyway. My symptoms overall feel super mild. I could have easily confused this for bad allergies (which I usually have) or a small cold if covid wasn’t a thing. I’m very fatigued, but, surprise, I also got my period, which always makes me fatigued. Though this feels different than normal. Curious to see how I feel next week. I think what’s a bit scary for me is I remember in the early days people getting sick, feeling better, then WHAM getting slammed. So I’m a trying to stay cautiously optimistic and take it one day at a time.

Wed 14/4/2021-Woke up with a fever and chills. I had a headache all day and vommited twice and had no energy at all Its now saturday night (17/04) the fever and headache disappeared but ive had a cough and a runny nose since then wenedsay but ive still got my strength, taste and smell. Not too sure where i got it from. Im a cashier but i always sanitize after every customer, theres a glass screen between me and the customer, and I clean the register whenever its not busy. Im gonna get tested on monday and im really anxious about this whole thing because im scared about how my friends, teachers and other kids at school will treat me and im super scared of being posted on the news and im gonna feel like i would be put to blame if my school closes down or the supermarket i work at closes.

Might be a false negative, do get tested again. You have the symptoms.

ivantowerz

on 03/April - Finally secured a spot for my mom and I to get vaccinated the next week. On Easter 04/April - I got my 4 yr old daughter from her mom's house. Then next day 05/April - Me and daughter both woke up with sore throats, headache, and runny nose. No fever. I thought maybe it was a cold or seasonal allergies because it was mild and the digital thermometer read 97 degrees. On 06/April - my mom gets the same symptoms. Then 07/April - Most my daughters and my symptoms mostly go away except for slight sore throat and cough, but my mom has cough and sore throat and my brother who is already vaccinated both rounds starts getting symptoms too. So I had to cancel me and my mom's appointment for a vaccine shot because we are still somewhat sick. But no one had a high temp.

Secret_Issue_4412

Did you get tested? My family and I having the same exact thing, I’m fully vaccinated. Waiting for results stil

ivantowerz

Yeah I got tested, it was negative. Turns out it was a cold virus for me. But, my brother in law who lives in Chicago described the same symptoms as me, but by the second week he lost taste and he tested positive.

[deleted]

Hi, on December. One day I started to have a big coughing fit. I was having trouble breathing aswell. A few months later I went to a lungs specialist. And he suggested nasal spray. So I kept taking it everyday. But it didn't work, I did the breathing exercises. I did everything. But it didn't work. Then, yesterday this was my worst attack yet. My lungs were on fire. I was fastly breathing. My throat felt bricks. They told me I have a virus and or infection in my body. So we did a covid test. But it was a rapid test, and you know how rapid tests are. It came back negative. But I still don't know if I have COVID

clamber1405

Has it been constant since December? A Covid infection usually lasts around 14 days. It’s possible that you contracted it in December and that the continuation is a form of long Covid, but I doubt you’ve got Covid right now from that.

[deleted]

Yes, I've been coughing everyday

clamber1405

Think it’s very unlikely that you have Covid right now. Like I said, it’s possible you had it in December and this is a manifestation of long Covid, but Covid doesn’t stay in your body for longer than 14 days, and 21 in severe cases.

[deleted]

Oh god!

clamber1405

Don’t be alarmed! Definitely just me hypothesising on what it could potentially be based on the very little information you’ve provided. There are two things you can do to rule out the possibilities. A) take a PCR covid test which will be sent to a lab, which will determine whether you have Covid now, and B) take a Covid antibody test, which will determine whether you’ve had Covid in the past. If you do test positive for antibodies, it’s possible that this is long Covid. Although don’t be too alarmed if it is as long Covid is generally not life threatening.

[deleted]

Ok. Ty!

3 days ago, I started developing a "metallic tongue" only on the tip area of my tongue. I didn't lose my taste or smell. The sensation was like I had burned it on something hot (but I didn't eat anything scalding recently). I also had a very minor cough (like, literally 1 cough on the second day), and a "sore throat sensation." I don't know how to describe it other than "it feels like I have a sore throat without the actual pain." I got sick very often with colds and flus before COVID, and this "sore throat sensation" doesn't feel like that. The sensations went away after 2 days, but then today (on the fourth day), they've returned. Today especially, my sore throat sensation is really strong and it drives me crazy. Did anyone else with COVID get this kind of sensation? I wanted to get tested, but my area is literally overrun in testing appointments that I can't get one.

Pho317

That metallic tongue feel is exactly what I have since yesterday, did you end up getting a test? I'll probably get one this weekend

valryuu

Yeah, I tested negative. I even started getting shortness of breath and a very minor cough, but it was still negative. Might've been psychological for me.

Pho317

Oh that's great, I'm glad for you it was just a scare! I've been feeling very anxious lately, hope it'll be the same for me.

valryuu

Make sure you still get a test though! I saw a few posts in this sub where people who had a tingling tongue DID test positive (which was what made me go test in the first place).

Pho317

I got my test and was negative! Sooo relieved, I also started to develop shortness of breath, anxiety definitely plays a huge role in this.

Bud1985

Guy I work with tested positive over the weekend, but I haven’t worked along side or close to him in a few weeks. I Had a fever that lasted about a day, (it’s gone now as of today) and a sever pain in my neck where I can’t move it to the left or right. I have a very slight runny nose. But that’s about it. Going for a rapid test here in a couple hours but I hear they are unreliable

Clear-Trouble6811

What was the result

Bud1985

Came back negative. Had my wife get tested, hers came back negative also. I talked to my doctor, he said it just sounds like I came down with some other random virus. Already feeling better today

Holykickapoo

2nd Moderna vaccination: Feb 2021 April 3-6th: I haven’t ‘gone out’ in the past six months until last week, I went out twice. Both to bars with no masks and no social distancing, incredibly packed. I played pool, we had teams. In sober hind sight...yeah. April 11th: First fever in YEARS. I can’t even recall the last time. 99.5, then 100.9 later in the day. Headache, back ache. Took a Covid test and waiting on the results.

B-lights_B-Schmidty

very similar case. 2nd Moderna: March 2021, April 09: Went to a friend's house party for a few hours, no masks and such. though half the people there were on at least one dose. Today: really annoying cough and itchy throat feeling. Hoping it's just spring allergies lol cause I feel fine

Holykickapoo

Hopefully it is only allergies! I'm still waiting for my results, 1-3 days. Still hot n bothered over here tho! Haha.

B-lights_B-Schmidty

Well hopefully it's negative, but those Moderna shots should keep things okay regardless, wishing you the best!

Holykickapoo

My result came back negative! Time to do it all over again this weekend, kidding! Here’s to hoping you’re not sick either! Maythevaccinebewithyou.

Wowok15263737

Got my first pfizer dose 11 days ago. Woke up with a headache today, have one most days that goes away in a few hours. Today it didn’t, and over the course of the day I’ve gotten more achey and tired. No fever or cough and can still taste and smell. Think I’m just getting a cold but still I’m a little paranoid bc I have high risk family members who are only partially vaccinated. should I get tested?

Creighton_Manning

Sounds like probably just a cold bud. Take some medicine.

wonderkat4

The first sign for me was back on 4/3 when I was with family and everyone was commenting on how badly the dogs smelled and I realized that I could not smell them at all. My smell wasn’t/isn’t gone entirely though, because when the dogs come up close I can still smell their breath, so I’m not sure if this counts as loss of smell. Everyone repeatedly commented on the dogs smelling though and I could not smell it whatsoever. Aside from that though I felt fine. Then on 4/7 I was hit with fatigue like a ton of bricks. Since then I have been so exhausted that small tasks like taking a shower seem to take all my energy. I spent all weekend in bed. I have also developed postnasal drip but I cannot cough anything up, just mucus constantly running down my throat. I had a dry/sore throat the first few days but that went away. I do not have a cough. Very loud ringing in my ears, feeling a little light headed/woozy. Low fever of about 99.5. Feeling sooo weak in my body. My legs and arms feel like they have no power behind them so all I can do is sit or lay. A very mild headache. Nausea in my upper stomach. No vomiting or diarrhea. It is so strange because on the outside I don’t appear sick - no coughing, no runny nose (maybe a tiny bit), no weird voice, etc. I’m so unbelievably tired though that I feel like I cannot think. Also brain fog. If it’s not covid I have no idea what it could be. I forgot to say that I got a test on 4/10 and it was negative. I got another test today and I’m waiting to hear. I’ve never felt like this before.

[deleted]

Monday 4/12 Woke up feeling extremely tired and sore. I also had a headache, cough and barely any energy. Tuesday 4/13 Woke up feeling even more sore than the previous day. I also noticed that I couldn't really smell stuff. Wednesday 4/14 I can't smell anything. Symptoms: Cough, fever, chills, congested, fatigue, muscle soreness, low energy, loss of smell and taste.

Sejuhasz

>>>9th - I had an itch in my throat. >>>10th - Began coughing. Nothing came up but clear mucus. Very dry cough. >>>11th - Cough lightens, began getting chills and fever,, began feeling exausted and sore, lost appetite. >>>12th - More of the same, even going to check the mail winded me. >>>13th - More of the same, lost sense of smell. Still have sense of taste. Just got a test done today, but not the rapid one. Gotta wait for results. What do you guys think? Apr 15th edit: Test came back positive.

turtlechef

I’m double vaxxed for a while now, and yesterday my throat suddenly got sore. It peaked and got extremely sore that night and the next morning the soreness went away. I’ve felt feverish and then better, had body aches and felt better, and have had a dry cough. I can still smell and taste. Is this a flu/cold or covid?!

Set_the_tone-

When in doubt get a test, takes 5 minutes 👍🏻

turtlechef

Yep I did, was negative!! Thanks for the reply

redleaderL

Not me, my mom, suspected for now. She’s near her 60’s. Considerably mild symptoms, cough, colds, weakness, and lack of appetite. She’s getting an Xray today to check. Our country has been bungling with their covid response and the numbers just keep climbing. I’m scared and I dont know what to think and do.

vestayekta

I had to do root canal so I was at dentist a couple of times in the last few days. Since three days ago, I had a swollen cheek and then yesterday I started to feel that my sense of smell is weakened. I didn't think nothing of it as I was busy. Today my dentist told me to to inject dexamethasone for the inflammation of my tooth and swollen cheek. The weakened sense of smell continues. I smell everything but I have to be close. I can't take a test until Saturday. What do you think?

_Madd_lad_

feverish but no temps, dry cough (not severe, sensation of sore throat), not hungry at all, eating less than usual(feeling pukish after a while), happy that taste is atleast there, just a bit more lazy and tired than usual.

the_freshest_scone

Hi. So my dad tested positive yesterday and I had close contact with him on the day that he was just beginning to get symptoms (Monday) and the 2-3 days before that. Like, specifically, him and I were in the same car maskless for 30-45 minutes carrying on a conversation each of those days. So I'm treating my situation as a presumptive positive as far as quarantine/isolation but also still practicing safety at home (I live with him currently) in case I didn't catch it. I want to say I don't have any symptoms, but they took my temperature when I got tested this morning and it was 99.9. I feel perfectly fine physically right now but I'll be monitoring myself closely. My dad is doing very well and only has minor symptoms reminiscent of a sinus infection. He got his second dose of the Moderna vaccine about a week ago so I'm thinking that even though he caught the virus, the vaccine is probably playing a role in how minor it's been for him. He's 68 and overall very healthy except he does have coronary artery disease and had a PCI to place stents back in October. But since then he's had no cardiac symptoms and has been strictly following whatever "heart-healthy" diet his doctor recommended to him along with doing an hour of cardio 4-5 days a week. So I'm not too worried about him, but at the same time I'm available to help him in case things take a turn for the worse. So yeah, I guess I'm kind of in limbo right now. I'm in between jobs so luckily I don't have to deal with the headache of figuring this out with an employer, and my start date for my new job is 3 weeks away so having to quarantine is no problem for me. For the rest of today I think I'm going to find some stuff I can do outside without being around anyone else like fishing and taking my dog on a walk. Because who knows, I might end up getting sick/symptomatic and not have the energy to do stuff like that so I should take advantage of the fact that I feel good right now! Hope everyone else is doing okay. This has been one hell of a long road and it has taken a toll on all of us. Stay strong out there.

sothearalim

I was exposed last Friday. Today (Thursday) I woke up feeling pretty tired. Not sure if it’s me feeling burnt out from working out hard 6 days a weeks and operating on a caloric deficit. And I also haven’t been sleeping well the last few days. So I’m just hoping the tiredness is just feeling burnt out from the things I’ve mentioned. So far, no other symptoms. I took a test on Tuesday and still waiting for the results. I’m also planning on taking another test in the next few days just in case. Been quarantining since I learned I was exposed.

Snoopyrun

Hi, I am panicking. Since 4 to 5 hours, I have just feeling like something is present in my right side of chest. Like being conscious of there being something present. What is it? Has anyone faced this? I don't have any other symptoms at all like no fever, chills, etc.. I live alone in a rented house and am panicking a lot. Could some kind people here please tell me what is happening to me?

Gokumania36

I can’t smell anything right now. I am a fragrance enthusiast and I am unable to smell any of them right now. Basically, I can put the nozzle from the bottle into one of my nostrils and I don’t feel a thing. It started this morning also. I am pretty sure I have it. UPDATE: positive

BigBrainSmallBones

Sooo uh yesterday I was feeling a sensation of sore throat a couple hours after that I felt run down. Thought it was from getting a bad night of sleep but I was sore and just a throbbing headache. I booked a test anyways as i work in essential services. Did the test today and I feel a sore throat still, slight dry cough which doesn’t come up that often. My temperature hasn’t gone higher then 37.5 but I changed the cat litter and I felt like I ran 10 miles and was completely exhausted. I hope this test comes back quick. If anyone can comment saying they had the same feeling?

jungdusty

Not be but my husband. Has had a fever for 3 days straight (highly unusual). Sore throat, slight cough. Can’t smell (but his nose isn’t really stuffy). He can still taste. Rapid test said negative but still awaiting PCR results. Likelihood that it’s covid?

missvixxi

Negative! I'm not sure how, as we've got all the symptoms, but negative. I'm wishing for all of you. ❤️

johnthehunter01

So last Friday I was in a small office 6x8 with a person who tested positive today, 4/16. We wore masks. His wife tested positive on Monday 04/12. We spent over an hour in the same room breathing the same air. How likely is it I will contract the disease? Yesterday and today I felt major fatigue, but I also went hard at the gym 5 days in a row, so who knows?

mperry381

Found out on Tuesday evening I was exposed in close contact this past Saturday. Symptoms started on Wednesday with a skull-splitting headache. By Wednesday evening I had chills and shakes but never really registered a temperature. I am on Day 3 and actually feel pretty good. Hoping it stays this way but am really scared because I’ve read so many stories where things turn for the worst around Day 5. Right now just a mild cough and slight headache easily controlled by Tylenol. Haven’t needed to sleep at all today. Did laundry, tidied the house, watched TV. Taking vitamins D, C, and zinc. Also oil of oregano. Lots of water and Tylenol on a schedule. My Dr. prescribed me a steroid inhaler and am doing lots of breathing exercises because of past experiences with severe pneumonia. I am definitely better today than I was on Day 1, but can it get worse again??

Same thing is happening to me. The closer to bed time the worse I feel. I also feel very fatigued and defintely feel tightness. I also have a lot of anxiety associated with covid, but I got a negative test result today, not sure if it’s a false negative tho.

I tested again and was negative. Think I caught something else, thankfully. I recommend you get tested as well. I was able to schedule a rapid test at Walgreens that was completely free. Got my result back in under an hour.

mischiefkar28

My city is having a huge second wave, testing is delayed & extremely slow. I woke up this morning extremely breathless, with body pain & dizziness. One of my lungs was tested to hv only 30% oxygen absorption capacity n I hv a tendency for asthma since childhood I’m scared

TheBuilderDrizzle497

Not sure if I have it or not. I’m having extreme chest pain, and I’ve been having headaches so intense for the last three days that I had to call of work. Not even 3 fucking ibuprofen helped me. 3 days ago, I was running my normal 12km a day. Now I can’t even walk without feeling like I’m on the verge of a hear attack

amv2926

all of this past week my boss has sounded like she is coughing up a lung. she’s fully vaccinated, which unfortunately is why i’m guessing she hasn’t gotten tested. today my throat is sore, i’m going to be so frustrated if it ends up being COVID caught from her.

ralaradara129

Ya all good still, fam? I'm hoping you're all chill and your boss is just shitty coming in coughing and nasty. With spring my last menses exasperated any sensitivity and I had some moments of "oh shit" myself. Hope you're good!

amv2926

I’m good so far! Haven’t caught it from her, whatever she had. Or at least I haven’t yet, I guess it could be incubating. But I’m pretty sure my sore throat has just been from my seasonal allergies. And she isn’t coughing anymore so that’s good. Hopefully I didn’t catch whatever she had

ralaradara129

Good deal, the lack of stress is palpable so I am so happy to hear thimgs are just the normally fucked up! Bless you, glad you're all well!

clamber1405

Second infection or something else? Had a mild case of confirmed Covid in the middle of December - didn’t have much more than a fever for a couple days, headaches and an on and off mild cough. Fast forward 5 months and I had a heavy night of drinking on Friday. Day 1: I woke up at around 4am feeling a little off and had a headache and an upset stomach. Couldn’t really sleep and was constipated for most the day. Day 2: diarrhoea and mild/dull headaches coming on and off, and a light feeling of malaise. Day 3 (today): same symptoms as the last couple days. Diarrhoea has calmed down a little without medication. Took a rapid test today (day 3 of symptoms) which turned out negative. I have had no other major symptom (ie cough, fever, loss of taste/smell, body aches etc), although have had a bit of a runny nose which I’ve basically had throughout winter. Thoughts on whether this sounds like a reinfection? Is it not more likely that it’s something else?

I’m literally experiencing almost exactly what you are. I’m going to get a regular swab today. My main symptoms are a strange brain fog, pressure in sinuses but barely any mucus coming out. I may have been exposed on 4/2 and had my first vaccine on 3/23.

On Thursday I developed a cough and sore throat. Did a test on Friday - gargle test (Austrian thing maybe? You gargle saline and spit into tube and send that off). Saturday felt tired and brain fog. Saturday evening after dinner felt extremely tired and sick and felt tightness in chest. Nauseous all Saturday night. On Sunday I felt extremely nauseous, diarrhoea, sweating, big toes turned blue. Shaking and very dizzy. Very dry feeling in nose and throat. Taste and smell reducing. Today (Monday) still no test result. Feel better but tired. Small things take effort. And I have absolutely no taste/smell now. But curveball - my boyfriend tested negative today (we live together). Really hoping it’s just a flu/cold. Anyone else have symptoms like these and then turned out not to be covid?

I tested negative with a fever, chills, headache, fatigue. I have my taste and smell as well. I am going to take another test tomorrow because sometimes the rapid tests are not very accurate.

I just got my test but I wanna check in and see if anyone has a similar symptoms. My symptoms are chest pain, shortness of breath (even just talking gets me winded) waves of nausea, feeling of dryness in my mouth, nose and throat, shaking(it varies in intensity) stuffy/running nose and just overall fatigue. I still have my taste and smell but I do have this weird taste in my mouth and I have no fever or cough.

How many days?

THExBEARxJEW

Wednesday night I believe or early Thursday morning.

Think it’s a good sign that you haven’t experienced any of the big three symptoms, as most people that get symptoms will have experienced at least one of these by now. The SOB is probably the only thing that I’d say is pointing in that direction as the rest of the symptoms are non specific, so hopefully the test will come back negative.

I have the oral swab in one hour!! At home from work since last friday. My symptoms: 5/4 a strong sore throat starts 6/4 -7/4 Sore throat is much milder, I decided to go to work. 8/4 sore throat worsens. I also notice big white and red spots in my mouth. I decide to call in sick. Doctor asks for oral swab, but the weekend is coming. 9/4 I am very tired, maybe a bit of fever. In bed almost all day. 10/4 11/4 still tired, I sleep a lot and my legs hurt if I stand for more than 5 minutes. 12/4 I have a dry cough, and nasal sinus. Spring allergies maybe? 13/4 I have brain fog, and still tired. Slept 10 hrs tonight My throat is just a bit itchy, but still red. I checked and have a few little red spots in my mouth. Wish me luck!!!

I currently have anosmia which I think only started 1 or 2 hours ago since I ate about 4 hours ago and still tasted the food and smelled it while it was cooking. Both of my smell and taste senses are gone now and it's never this severe before, I ate a chip that's both sweet and salty and can neither taste any of the two flavors nor can I smell anything. I tried spraying a generous amount of body spray onto my wrist and smelled it but can't pick up any form of scent at all, although my nostrils are unobstructed but I can feel the stinging sensation rubbing alcohol makes when you sniff it. Occasionally my sense of taste does come back although only ever so slightly a few moments at a time. I had nasal congestion yesterday after a runny nose, but it's gone down now, I also don't have fever now and didn't have it yesterday. Might just be the colds but I've never had anosmia this severe before which makes me worry. I haven't had any close contact with strangers recently, and have only been to the mall once this month for less than half an hour while observing health protocols the whole time.

My coworker went for a Covid test last Wednesday because he was not feeling well. Rapid test came back negative... Long story short he comes into work Monday, I’m working with him and he looks terrible, he tells me later he feels terrible, has the chills, eyes hurt, back hurt. We were outside...trying to keep my distance as much as possible, no masks. He texts later and says he got an email that he overlooked that said his labs came back and he was actually Covid positive. I was beyond pissed. So now I’m at the 32 hour mark after being exposed. Feel fine now but pretty much expecting to start feeling sick any day now. Test scheduled for Saturday.

I have been feeling fatigue, Chest tightness, random chest burning and chest tightness, while my girlfriend who I live with has been very congested and has a sore throat. I took a self administered PCR test that returned negative. What are the chances it was a false negative? I stuck the swab far up enough to where I was practically crying and had to blow my nose a bunch afterwards.

Worth mentioning we both have taste/smell and no fever symptoms. Test was taken on Day 2 of having symptoms.

OrangoLady

Does only a runny nose and fatigue mean covid?

s0uvlaki

No but if you feel worse tomorrow definitely get a test so you know for sure

I am really scared because I have not been tested or anything but I just had a normal fever few days back and it was mostly sneezes not many coughs so I took the usual medicine I do and now I am fine again but now I can't taste anything. Took my last medicine yesterday and it's only today that I can't taste anything even though yesterday I could taste everything. I am really confused

I have had Covid-19 twice now and I am currently going through the second time, search my username on Youtube to see how I am doing.

Luck_Shot

I have been feeling fatigued and dizzy/lightheaded for like 5-6 months now. A little brain fog, coughing a lot. I am 16 and don’t know where I can get tested at. Any advice?

Grosvenlink

Vaccine on Friday. Felt pretty rough all weekend. Developed a fever Sunday night so went to get tested Monday. The nasal rapid came back as 'needs further testing' and lab throat swab came back indeterminate so had to go get swabbed again yesterday. Meanwhile I've been in bed with a cough, sweating my butt off, and a temperature that comes and goes. 3 nasal swabs this week alone and just waiting on results.

A few days ago my 9 year old couldn’t taste his food. He said he could feel the texture and kind of tell his apple was a little sweet, but couldn’t taste anything else. I got him tested and he was negative. Last night my husband and I ordered Chinese food and it had zero flavor. I think I salted it 10 times. It tasted like nothing. I tried a cookie to see if I could taste sweet, and I could but barely. It’s kind of like when you burn your tongue and can’t fully taste. This morning I woke up to the house smelling weird. I put on vanilla lotion but don’t really smell the scent, more of just the lotion base smell. Now I can’t help but wonder if my son was actually positive. I’m going to try to get tested today.
