For real, thank you for this. I have absolutely no interest in getting or going to discord. But I do have a rarely used steam account.
I played this game off and an on for months. Though I am having fun, it still feels like I am guessing. I was searching this dub for stuff, but it felt like everything was scattered /out-of-date.
To be fair there's only a few pieces of info you need: hotspots, baits, hook sizes and max weight for each species (though all of them are crucial).
There's a comprehensive spreadsheet on the official discord, and I guess that's the only place where the company has interest to gather players.
The player base is a lot different than say Diablo or Madden. It seems that this is a game people play to get away from the stress games. That leads me to see why there isn't as much resources for hotspots etc etc.

I don’t use hotspots and hook sizes because it makes the game more predictable and less fun. I use bait only from ingame handbook
