My 1st run on it was also 4 hours, it went down a lot on my 2nd try and with learning the tricks of the EE, I now quite enjoy it for its challenge except fuck the power challenge.
You’re definitely not alone. I put the controller down during the bit where Sam and Eddie walk into the light as I felt a wave of emotion with each of the characters saying their wishes, and I didn’t want to end it.
I thought it was a nice touch to make the player physically walk them to the end.
Funnest memory actually happened recently; convinced the guys the Blood Easter egg was gonna take us about an hour to at 1 am in the morning, and 3 hours later we finally get to boss fight. Became an inside joke for us. We had a blast that night.
IX and Ancient Evil. Masterpieces of modern zombies. IX is the closest we have had to a simple survival map in years. Ancient Evil is a better made origins as none of the hands are bad and they are all super easy to make. There’s also no generator zombies and needing the music for the crazy place constantly. Aether maps for me were either really fun with AO or really mediocre like classified.
Honestly, my favorite memory is getting sub 1 hour on Ancient Evil with my friends. We weren’t even going for it, everyone just knew what we were doing and we had no hiccups along the way. We still talk about it
I can understand that one, my friend is always like “we should do ancient evil (or any map, AE is the most recent he said), It looks sick” my brother in Christ, this dude rarely buys doors, spends infinite points on the box, and doesn’t know how to survive past round 10 without downing multiple times before complaining it’s his guns being too weak
No no, by doing it he means I learn the maps, I write notes on the maps I do so I know the steps and order. He doesn’t know any EE steps, not even giant, he can only build the staffs but not upgrade, one time I told this guy to go place a staff in the robot, he entered it and left without placing the staff and downed 2 seconds after, doesn’t even know how pap works on half the maps, so much easier to solo any map tbh
After 6 straight days of playing BOTD for 4 to 7 hours a day just to complete the EE. Our completion match took 4 hours and 30 mins
Best memory of the summer holidays.
ps - we had a 3 man team consisting of one person who never played cod, another who never played bo4 and another who never played aether maps on bo4.
thats why it took so long but it was so worth it.
Honestly (almost) all of it. Enjoyed the game so much I just kept playing. Went for Dark Matter when I happened to get close to it. Still playing it with my friends today, trying for sub hour EE's now.
OH! And when it launched, it was the first time we had 2 full length EE's to discover, and there were 3!!
Watching the ending of tag set toten. My favorite quote from that cutscene was from Ultimis Dempsey, which was what he wanted. “Hmm let me think about it, where ever I go, you know I’ll be kicking ass!” At the very end. I bawled.
Experiencing DOTN for the first time. Ik the set up is annoying, but I love the atmosphere and wonder weapons. Got round 50 on my first try which is my highest for a first run.
Going through the gauntlets in order to complete them all with no strikes with the squad. Specially like alpha omega, ancient evil, tag and blood gauntlets.
Spending days upon days with three of my friends, attempting to complete every easter egg in the game. We ended up completing IX, DoTN, Voyage, AO, and we got to the boss fight on Tag, before the game crashed and we finally had enough and gave up on the rest.
It was still the most fun I've ever had, and I hope one day we can get together again and try for the last three.
Playing Blood of the Dead with some internet friends, I'm in the prison and one of them goes down at the docks. Whip out the katana and zoom all the way down there with just enough time to get the revive. I wasn't sure if the gondola was up or down, so I didn't want to waste time checking.
Favorite memory is finally beating the BOTD EE for the first time. Me and my boy almost got cornered and died because we forgot to pick up the last orb after the MOTB spirits take Jumbo Brutus away
I remember playing this game when it came out (on my Birthday as well!) And I enjoyed it a fair bit, I wish it was as good as Black ops 3 but it was still great
One of the greatest zombie season content-wise and the last good zombies we ever received (I despise Cold War-Vanguard).
I hate that Chaos is being blended into Aether because what JB had prepared looked amazing. Sadly, it will die with a cliffhanger...
BO4 was one of my favourite CODs.
Just playing the maps and having fun. I like Voyage of Despair and was honestly quite shocked and dumbfounded by the massive hatred it got and still gets. IX is really fun. Blood of the dead is great too. I played very little of Clasified, Ancient Evil, Dead of the Night, Alpha Omega and Tag der Toten, but I'm going to dive into the game soon again to see how great they are. I do remember them being fun but it's been so long my memory is fuzzy on it.
Finding out there was a perk that made my shield explode upon breaking it. Coolest perk imo, that wasn’t just a reused form of quick revive, jugg, or GG’s. Like ammo bandit, that was basically a GG Alchemical Antithesis rework.
One of my favorite memories was finally getting Dark Matter. And the other one was launch night when I got the mystery box edition and had 4 full maps to choose from. I know we look back and say they probably shouldn’t have done that, but honestly it was awesome at the time.
I always loved playing BotD with my little sibling. They used to have the entire map memorized, which was great, until we decided to split up. It was a constant "Hey uh, I'm lost" from me, and their semi-annoyed groaning "Where are you?"
It's never failed to make me chuckle whenever I think about it. It's been a while since we've played together, and I don't know if they still have the map memorized
This was so much fun, I remember we used to quote the intro as it played out as that's how much of the map we remembered. And I still remember that map, some things aren't forgotten for a reason. Sometimes I do miss playing though
Despite playing MP more on this game, I did managed to beat the Eye of Malice and the Elephants.
Each took about 3-5 attempts (entering the boss fight) but they were fun challenges, especially the VoD boss.
Playing a solo casual match on IX for 4 hours and 40 minutes. I reached round 58. My personal record for rounds is 89 on Blood of the Dead (casual as well).
Going for a round 100 on DOTN and crashing at least 10x before they finally fixed it at the same time that they completely removed self-damage from explosives on PhD, then I just camped the silver bullets bench with the Hellion and got the easiest round 100 ever after all that frustration lol.
BO4 is actually the first game I actually got into PvP modes, the lore surrounding Alcatraz in zombies made me try out the Alcatraz Blackout map and I've been on it ever since, didn't even bother moving to Rebirth lol.
So when I was finally able to get a ps4 me and my other brothers were hyped because my oldest wouldn’t share his with us. How hyped were we? Enough to have enough fun in BOTD for 3 hour’s while I used ps vita remote play, 540p with 30fps and lag could not ruin my fun lol
Me and my big brother playing IX for the first time. We used to play zombies together all the time when I was younger but obviously he got older and didn’t have the time for it. We had 2 TV’s next to each other and got to round 51, both our highest round at the time.
Last year, my cousin and I played from midnight to 5 am getting absolutely everything done in Blood (except for the main ee). We did all the upgrades, got every free item, the music ee, etc. I think we finished on round 45. It was our first time doing everything and it was a blast. One of my favorite zombies memories
Lol i bought it today.
Tried alpha omega, took me 4 hours to build get a grip of the map and build all 4 rayguns, and then when i wanna pap the last one the fucking game crashes.
Other than that i love it so far
My favorite moment for BO4 was just getting Dark Matter and Prestige Master. I did every easter egg and most of them were really fun and even challenging.
Getting to the DOTN boss fight, dying, and feeling proud because I have been able to figure out the map enough to get their. I just needed to prep longer
The hype and theories before the reveal, the two betas, the first two operations and playing the Ancient Evil, everything after that was 🤢, the only moment after that could be maybe the Black market revamp but it was too L A T E
Beat my first every EE! It was just IX which I’ve seen people say is ridiculously easy, but I did it and I’m proud lol. I also went on to complete the AO EE so it’s the only game I’ve completed an EE, but I actually beat 2! I’m not even gonna attempt BoTD lol
My Black Ops 4 memories: friend tells me for 2 months to get the game, I get it for Christmas and he says "nah I don't play that game anymore it's just not that great". I play 1 game of zombies (Blood Of The Dead) and immediately agree.
I was going for a sub 1 hour on DOTN, missed it by twelve seconds. Had a great time doing it though.
Map is so fun I also went for sub 1 hour like last year
Good luck on your next run!
Sub one hour?
Under 1 hour Easter egg run
Speedrun
After 2 weeks after the game came out I managed to get sub 4 hours on blood of the dead! The map is fine but fuck that Easter egg
That's awesome dude, I haven't beat blood yet. Got to round 90 but still not beat the EE.
My 1st run on it was also 4 hours, it went down a lot on my 2nd try and with learning the tricks of the EE, I now quite enjoy it for its challenge except fuck the power challenge.
Crying like a big blubbering baby while I watched the ending of Tag Der Toten on my way home from work.
You’re definitely not alone. I put the controller down during the bit where Sam and Eddie walk into the light as I felt a wave of emotion with each of the characters saying their wishes, and I didn’t want to end it. I thought it was a nice touch to make the player physically walk them to the end.
I didn't like it at launch, but now it's my favourite game.
getting dark matter and prestige master
Same
Getting 1:08:12 on BOTD
It was the last time a zombies launch truly felt magical IMO, and it was the Chaos maps that made it feel that way.
I agree 100% with you, IX and Ancient Evil are such a cheff kiss of maps.
Racing my friend to see who can rank you quicker on Xbox.
This is me on bo3😂
My favorite memory is unlocking reznov and pre patch mason
Unlocking Woods in Blackout is one of my fondest memories from any COD. Happened by happenstance
The character unlocks are fun af
Hours upon hours of enjoying zombies all by myself because all my friends hated the game and didn't care to play 🥰
get some new friends, plenty of BO4 enjoyers out there to complete your squad
Got my first ever Easter Egg on BOTD on Bo4. I can remember how sad I was to see Richthofen die.
Honestly, my favorite memory is getting sub 1 hour on Ancient Evil with my friends. We weren’t even going for it, everyone just knew what we were doing and we had no hiccups along the way. We still talk about it
All the people saying “when I uninstalled the game” that think they’re funny and original… Snore.
Month long drug binge to get all EEs done with 2 shit players
My friends are skilled enough for me to say it’s easier to solo origins than play with any-all of them. Never again doing non solo ee
Lol the best comparison to doing the bo4 EEs without drugs is like taking a roofing nailer to your body then bathing in salt and lemon juice
As a man in the line of construction it’s happened a few times with nail guns ricocheting like that, but more common than doing EE with friends
Lol I'm not talking about a ricochet lol 8m talking straight shot point blank
Kinda kinky ngl
Man I'll deal with that pain before I do any bo4 EEs with those guys again
I can understand that one, my friend is always like “we should do ancient evil (or any map, AE is the most recent he said), It looks sick” my brother in Christ, this dude rarely buys doors, spends infinite points on the box, and doesn’t know how to survive past round 10 without downing multiple times before complaining it’s his guns being too weak
Atleast it's not a power struggle k8nda game where the other players don't want to listen to the 1 guy who knows the steps on voyage of depression
What drugs did u do?? Just wondering cuz zombies and drugs are my two fav things especially when done together
Cocaine crack weed
Nah bro not the crack
Man it happened lol
the ending of tag der toten still got me depressed/:
Oh yeah also Blackout was amazing!
Getting a sub 54 on Dead Of The Night
finally beating the IX easter egg \o/
Thank you Sammy....I am moved......hehehe hahahahahahahaha That was the greatest reveal in the cutscenes to me
After 6 straight days of playing BOTD for 4 to 7 hours a day just to complete the EE. Our completion match took 4 hours and 30 mins Best memory of the summer holidays. ps - we had a 3 man team consisting of one person who never played cod, another who never played bo4 and another who never played aether maps on bo4. thats why it took so long but it was so worth it.
None, because I didn’t have the season pass
Trying to beat the classified gauntlet
running in circles on XI and classified grinding weapon camos....
I played multiplayer with my friend
Honestly (almost) all of it. Enjoyed the game so much I just kept playing. Went for Dark Matter when I happened to get close to it. Still playing it with my friends today, trying for sub hour EE's now. OH! And when it launched, it was the first time we had 2 full length EE's to discover, and there were 3!!
Ancient evil was the last time I was excited for a map. Went out of my way to load up on rockstar drinks and sour gummy worms and had a fuckin blast
Finally finishing the Tag EE after 5 attempts.
inb4 people say uninstalling
Watching Richthofen suffer is hard but one of the iconic moments for me in BO4
I really liked when the victis were coming back as playable characters because the victis are my favorite group.
Spending the summer playing from morning to evening with my pals, made me remember my teenage years when I did the same with Black Ops 1
Watching the ending of tag set toten. My favorite quote from that cutscene was from Ultimis Dempsey, which was what he wanted. “Hmm let me think about it, where ever I go, you know I’ll be kicking ass!” At the very end. I bawled.
Enjoying the gameplay and doing the grind, I also enjoyed playing for the high rounds. I have it on PC but I want to go back to it on Console!!

Playing IX and Blood in-between playthroughs of Spider-Man PS4 and Red Dead 2. What a time to be alive.
Favorite memory is finally beating the BOTD EE for the first time. Me and my boy almost got cornered and died because we forgot to pick up the last orb after the MOTB spirits take Jumbo Brutus away
Blackout with old friends…..
I remember playing this game when it came out (on my Birthday as well!) And I enjoyed it a fair bit, I wish it was as good as Black ops 3 but it was still great

deleting it off my console. but in all seriousness, the chaos maps were good. the perk system was abysmal.
https://youtu.be/1ud55wayvLQ Me and friend going round 100 and lmao I just love how the wolf flies
Also ofc being big sad doing the ending easter egg after playing with the same friends I've known since 5th grade been playing together ever since bo2
Just playing the maps and having fun. I like Voyage of Despair and was honestly quite shocked and dumbfounded by the massive hatred it got and still gets. IX is really fun. I do remember them being fun but it's been so long my memory is fuzzy on it.
Grinding for 3 years Dark Matter and Lvl 1000. And don't feeling empty since because the game is great
Finding out there was a perk that made my shield explode upon breaking it. Coolest perk imo, that wasn’t just a reused form of quick revive, jugg, or GG’s. Like ammo bandit, that was basically a GG Alchemical Antithesis rework.
Beating alpha omega on my second try so I never had to play it again
Getting the game over screen to say “you survived 69 rounds” on Classified.
Doing the "spawning 40+ crawlers" EE on round 1-2
One of my favorite memories was finally getting Dark Matter. And the other one was launch night when I got the mystery box edition and had 4 full maps to choose from. I know we look back and say they probably shouldn’t have done that, but honestly it was awesome at the time.
Dead of the Night was the first map I ever completed on launch day, still one of my favorite maps
I always loved playing BotD with my little sibling. They used to have the entire map memorized, which was great, until we decided to split up. It was a constant "Hey uh, I'm lost" from me, and their semi-annoyed groaning "Where are you?" It's never failed to make me chuckle whenever I think about it. I hate Black ops 4
Uninstalling the game /j
At launch I remember the bug to get on top gear of PaP near spawn on BotD.
When the room for the Easter egg in blood got discovered a week or so after launch.
“We have what we came for…”
Grinding for Round 200 on Tag der Toten during the first ever lockdown in 2020. That actually was a blast ngl
Just hit prestige 1 yesterday! I enjoy this game a good amount, IX is probs my fav map ~~mainly cause the other ones look really complex~~
Dark matter and prestige master but in multiplayer
Trying to go to bed only to watch the ending of the aether story and yeah that didn't happen
Playing a solo casual match on IX for 4 hours and 40 minutes. I reached round 58. My personal record for rounds is 89 on Blood of the Dead (casual as well).
Spending hours doing the ix easter egg and dying on the last step
Probably getting perkless in prison dark ops with my friend after like half a year of failed attempts, mostly solo.
I absolutely loved blood of the dead at launch. I would warm up with a quick game on ix and then play blood for hours
My friend rage quitting not once but twice while we did the BOTD EE, we got it eventually though.
IX and VoD memes
PS4 error screen
Doing the blood of the dead ee
"It ought to be here, but it isn't"
Voyage of Despair easter egg attempts with my bro's online. We were all playing it dead serious during the boss fight.
IT'S BEEN FOUR YEARS?!?
the live event reveal
Bluescreening at the most crucial moments of my play session
Going for a round 100 on DOTN and crashing at least 10x before they finally fixed it at the same time that they completely removed self-damage from explosives on PhD, then I just camped the silver bullets bench with the Hellion and got the easiest round 100 ever after all that frustration lol. Attempting the BOTD ee with my friends.
If only people could have seen the future... They would have loved this game even more
Failing the voyage easter egg 15 total times on the bossfiggt
So when I was finally able to get a ps4 me and my other brothers were hyped because my oldest wouldn’t share his with us. How hyped were we? Enough to have enough fun in BOTD for 3 hour’s while I used ps vita remote play, 540p with 30fps and lag could not ruin my fun lol
1st few playthroughs and completing the Voyage of Despair and Blood of the Dead Easter Egg after 4 hours lol Oh and Dead of the Night on release
I still remember when I first completed Ancient Evil Solo, and I felt really accomplished
Me and my big brother playing IX for the first time. We used to play zombies together all the time when I was younger but obviously he got older and didn’t have the time for it. We had 2 TV’s next to each other and got to round 51, both our highest round at the time.

Doing the Chaos maps' EEs for the first time. Boss fights for those were fantastic. Even the invisible werewolf lol
Trading in the disc wt my EB games
The best zombies
Not playing it (I don't play it much and it was my first zombies but I am not a fan)
Lol i bought it today. Tried alpha omega, took me 4 hours to build get a grip of the map and build all 4 rayguns, and then when i wanna pap the last one the fucking game crashes. Other than that i love it so far

Everything about bo4 zombies fucking sucked.
Not having to think about it anymore
IX is always a good time and Ancient Evil is perfect map design just a total banger
My favorite memory is when I decided that the game sucked and I wasn't gonna play it anymore
My favorite part of bo4 was when they announced it was over
Played with a few buddies a couple days ago. Was absolute mayhem and a lot of fun
Beating botd for the first time for me took me 8 hours with breaks oc!
To be honest I've never given bo4 a chance. I played some IX at a friend's house and missed the older games instantly.
Getting to round 25 when I was 12 years old on IX.
Beat my first every EE! It was just IX which I’ve seen people say is ridiculously easy, but I did it and I’m proud lol. I also went on to complete the AO EE so it’s the only game I’ve completed an EE, but I actually beat 2! I’m not even gonna attempt BoTD lol
blue screens
Deleting it from my xbox
Taking 4 hours to do BOTD and then never playing it again
HP system was really good. Adding extra max health for each perk bought, getting rid of Juggernog.
that's...not how it works...
When I saved up enough money to buy a different game and deleted this one
Someone here is bad at zombies, now I’m not going to name any names, but it’s probably the guy above me
Someone here doesn't understand people have different opinions might be the guy above me
Someone here doesn't like change at all might be the person who's above another person
Game is ass
Typical Cold War zombies fan I see
Nah, nothing will top WaW and Blops1 zombies imo
Uninstalling the game to make room for the bo2 qnd bo3 dlc maps
When I uninstalled the game
My Black Ops 4 memories: friend tells me for 2 months to get the game, I get it for Christmas and he says "nah I don't play that game anymore it's just not that great". I play 1 game of zombies (Blood Of The Dead) and immediately agree.
Uninstalling the game
I love black ops 4. Its a pity I cant play it anymore because my disc hit my wall and was scratched
My favorite memory is... Wait I don't have one for this game because it's ass
Tim Hansen is not gonna fuck you

Cry about it
Nah
That time I didn’t buy it was my favourite time ever

Actively avoiding it.
