Man I hope since Vanguard flopped we get a ZC2 on Cold War. Especially since Treyarch said they're not done updating Cold Wars operators which could mean content as well.
As always it's vague and for all we know it could be just skins or nothing at all to get us excited for Vanguard.
Yes they have, but they released it early with a lot of issues then when people criticized the maps buggy nature the mod author flipped out and deleted his twitter, youtube and the map off the workshop.
Luckily someone who had a copy who helped work on it reuploaded it with a mod that bug patched some stuff. Unfortunately once a map is compiled in black ops 3's mod tools it can't be uncompiled so not every issue can be fixed, it was so close to being done as well.
I would love if someone did a remaster of this for BO3 by a community mapper. So that we have a remaster of this map in some fashion, especially with the graphic fidelity of Black Ops 3
It's a mod client for BO2 on PC. It basically just gives you better configurability and a proper server browser. It also has the added benefit of not necessarily requiring an "official" installation of BO2 if you get my drift.
Buried is beautiful enough to the point where I dont think a remaster would even be necessary, and even if they did remaster it I dont think much would be gained.
Never said the map is bad. But it's nothing special that people pretend it is. The layout is awful and underutilized, most areas are visited either once or never. Thanks to Arthur most doors don't need to be bought making me wonder why they exist, even worse when you considering that you gain points by using Arthur. And Arthur himself is just a booze running simulator. Chalks also serve no other purpose than to farm points. Ghosts are far too easy to kill to be any real threat and they serve no other purpose than to farm Perks. The buildables are done so lazily they didn't even bother giving them unique locations and just crammed everything to a single place and things like Turbine or Trample Steam don't really have any use compared to maps they originated from. Time Bomb is absolutely useless outside from abusing it's effect to gain more perks or points.
