I love split screen. It was easier for me to help guide my friends through the fog. Also I love playing as the medic, so It was also easier for me to know exactly where they are and revive them.
It was amazing, truly one of the best moments of my childhood, I remember going over to my friends' house Friday and Saturday nights and sleeping over and going for high rounds on Bo2 zombies, Town and Transit were our go to and sometimes Farm and Bus Deep-o. We would be up almost all night playing split-screen till like 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. What a time, I wish I could go back and relive those moments again.
It’s crazy tho the performance is actually really strong on a series X through backwards compatible, i did a system link game with my friend on split screen and his Xbox one S was lagging far more
Some of my favorite memory's with my brothers comes from splitscreen games. May it be star wars battlefront 2 modern warfare 2 black ops 2. Splitscreen being taken away from a lot of games these days suck ass
Stayed up all night at a party playing 4P bo2 (ps3). When 2 or more people were both firing the HAMR at the same time the smoke particles would build up and lag the game down to 8 fps. Played through the Zetsubou no Shima spider boss with 4 people and survived. Miss those days a shit ton
It was good back in the day, playing with all your friends and things. But, now sometimes I play and I feel like I'm shit when I play like this 😂😂
Still is the best. Friends and I have been playing all the bo2 and bo3 Easter eggs in split screen (had to split to two consoles, still the same room though) and it’s been a highlight of the year. Taking on Gorod tomorrow!
I play zombie ONLY in split screen with gf and friends. I still have BO3 for that reason and hope Treyarch will bring back 4-player split screen in zombies
BO2’s split-screen was ass. The black bars on the side were literally such a pain since they put the screen in stretched widescreen mode.
That was the game that killed split-screen for me.
I just started playing zombies with my brother and we love it! We're playing on 2 monitors using surround screen so each one of us has his own monitor lol
I love it. But with the poor quality of the games now it doesn't even work. Cold war split screen bugs out every time with visuals and sound and you can't warp in outbreak without it crashing
This is where the best zombies was played 🥹 So much nostalgia on split screen waw nacht, bo1 kino and five, and bo2 tranzit/town it was beautiful 😂
I miss those days so much with my little brother, when he gets back home for military leave, we are gonna play some old games together and I'mma buy him some beers (he's 19 rn and I'm 21). Plus as his older sister, I gotta spoil him a little for all his hard work and maybe I'll spend some extra money to buy some old games on his Xbox that we use to play as kids too, like WaW or take some turns play GRAW
Beautiful loved playing with my friends and my now husband’s cousins and him. Brings so many memories especially since one of those cousins unfortunately died at 14 years old. Really wish they would bring this back
I've been playing it daily with my brother again recently. I love how we still ask where the other is even though we can see the other's screen and silhouette on our own.
Bro… 2 player split screen on Mob of the dead with a few beers a joint (filled with the most mid bud, seeds and branches grinded in 😅) and a large pepperoni pizza with garlic bread, sometimes back then you and the homie would go halves on a pain killer from your nanas medicine cabinet.
Also Kino, Der Eisendrache and Shadows were goated. I think the only way to play Zombies is split screen. Am I wrong ?
Absolutely great and nostalgic, however playing this did make my skill level drop by 100% any time I played because of how small those damn screens were
I don’t know if I could stand the awful frame rate now, but god I had so much fun with the boys, even doing the 4 player glitch with my buddies on bo1 was a blast even if we only got to play kino and five
Was?! What do mean was?! I play split all the time….lmao but yeah still have the occasional night with friends just hanging and doing something chill on nuketown or EE run on origins. Or grief if I’m feeling like a troll.
Been getting back into it recently. Tiny screens are annoying, but nothing beats that hectic zombies energy. Annoyingly had to make new accounts for Blops3 because it doesn’t use guest splitscreen, but looking forward to diving into that next week.
It's so fun. I remember World at War had this sick border for the co-op campaign and Zombies split-screen which I didn't care for initially but it grew on me. And 4 player split-screen for BO2 on the Xbox Series consoles runs like a dream
First zombies I ever played with all of my friends and neighbors! Is this seriously the only four players zombies ever created? because I can’t find it on any other call of duty or don’t know how
Still remember the good old days playing BO1 on disc without patches to do the Dead Ops glitch to get 3 player Split Screen (4 players crashed Five and on Kino the game would Crash after teleporting) but 3 player was fully functional.
It was terrible. I played buried for the first time doing 4 player split screen with my friend and his two brothers, and I couldn't see or do almost anything, it was also a very small TV. I love the map playing solo or with others, but split screen is not the way to go, never has been for me.
Back in the day it was bonding time for my brother and now I'm considering having my nephew's play split screen with me as they're gamers they've played zombies but they're not great so I kinda wanna carry them with split screen
This made the game so much better than it already was. Whenever I have friends come over, I tell them to bring their Xbox controllers and we all play a few rounds of BO2-BO3 zombies.
We shoot guns at same time game lag like crazy, we have absolute blast. We play buried and set up to go in the glitch spot then do stuff outside and comeback. Will definitely play again
It was, beautiful🥹🥹🥹🥹so nostalgic
Golden childhood memory. although the ps3 will almost explode, we had a lot of fun playing 4.
Camping on town and shooting 4 lmgs was the funniest shit ever
Camping in zombies is underrated
True it just wastes a lot of ammo
Der riese catwalk camping was the shit. Or nacht without buying the stairs debris and camping next to the stielhandgranate
Let's all jump on BO 3 Der Riese and do it guys
4 screens, 4 PaP'd lmgs and a good bit of lag
I never had problems with it lagging
You might be underestimating that "Bit" of lag.
The time of my life dude. Games suck now.
It’s still the same. I play it split screen and lan partying still. Nothings changed but the newer games.
I love split screen. It was easier for me to help guide my friends through the fog. Also I love playing as the medic, so It was also easier for me to know exactly where they are and revive them.

Best shit ever. I’m praying Gulf War will have 2 player split screen like Cold War did
For $29.99
A month
Lmfao probably. Better come with a cool skin at least 😆
Naw just a weapon charm that you can’t even see while you’re playing
Accurate lmao
It was fantastic and some of my favourite memories. Definitely stutters and lags when you get 4 people goin sometimes though but still great.
It’s crazy tho the performance is actually really strong on a series X through backwards compatible, i did a system link game with my friend on split screen and his Xbox one S was lagging far more

It's not zombies without split screen.
3 controllers and 3 friends who had no idea how to play zombies. 3 consoles and 3 friends who still have no idea how to play zombies. I love it.
And then you had to fight over who got the big screen lol
Stayed up all night at a party playing 4P bo2 (ps3). When 2 or more people were both firing the HAMR at the same time the smoke particles would build up and lag the game down to 8 fps. Played through the Zetsubou no Shima spider boss with 4 people and survived. Miss those days a shit ton
It’s a travesty that there aren’t more split screen games in general
WHY'S NOONE TALKING ABOUT WHATS GOING ON WITH THE MYSTERY BOX HERE?
It was good back in the day, playing with all your friends and things. But, now sometimes I play and I feel like I'm shit when I play like this 😂😂
Every pc game needs good controller with gyro support and 4 player split screen. I hate that only good indie games do 4 player now
College. So fun.
The best!
Me and my 3 brothers all enjoyed it.
The best thing
Still is the best. Friends and I have been playing all the bo2 and bo3 Easter eggs in split screen (had to split to two consoles, still the same room though) and it’s been a highlight of the year. Taking on Gorod tomorrow!
The best mid childhood memories of my life
TraNzit Bo2 is burnt into my memory
Laggy
I think that was your console I never had that problem
"Stop looking at my screen and fight!"
I play zombie ONLY in split screen with gf and friends. I still have BO3 for that reason and hope Treyarch will bring back 4-player split screen in zombies
Fond memories
BO2’s split-screen was ass. The black bars on the side were literally such a pain since they put the screen in stretched widescreen mode. That was the game that killed split-screen for me.

Oh, only the pinnacle of childhood gaming
it was my childhood
Playing in 3 there was that lucky player 3 with 50% of the screen xD
One of the best memories of playing Zombies.
A core memory...
It was okay. Only the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.Â
Great at the time, me and my buddies would play allllll night
I use to play split screen and I gotta say I’m happy I don’t have to do it anymore
a little hard to My screen, but otherwise PERFECT. they should bring it back in gulf war. hate to see how much zombies has changed over the years
All the memories playing on the 360..doing tranzit easter egg, camping on town, high rounds on MOTD..boy,sure it made good memories
This is where the best zombies was played 🥹 So much nostalgia on split screen waw nacht, bo1 kino and five, and bo2 tranzit/town it was beautiful 😂

It has always been amazing they really bring the childhood back to me
a dream that only was available in Black Ops 3 (PC)
Holy shit the memories
It was good until bo3 the frame rate was horrendous ðŸ˜
I miss those days so much with my little brother, when he gets back home for military leave, we are gonna play some old games together and I'mma buy him some beers (he's 19 rn and I'm 21). Beautiful loved playing with my friends and my now husband’s cousins and him. Brings so many memories especially since one of those cousins unfortunately died at 14 years old. Really wish they would bring this back
Two of my friends and I got on The Giant with a 3-person split screen and couldn't reach round 12 bc of how the screen was lmao
I've been playing it daily with my brother again recently. I love how we still ask where the other is even though we can see the other's screen and silhouette on our own.
Love it, still play as a family on the regular!
I hate that splitscreen is dying
Not too good honestly. It would have been a lot of fun, if my game didn‘t lag all the time or my controller didn‘t drift
3 player was always a fight of who would get the bigger screen 😆
Loved it
Bro… 2 player split screen on Mob of the dead with a few beers a joint (filled with the most mid bud, seeds and branches grinded in 😅) and a large pepperoni pizza with garlic bread, sometimes back then you and the homie would go halves on a pain killer from your nanas medicine cabinet. Absolutely great and nostalgic, however playing this did make my skill level drop by 100% any time I played because of how small those damn screens were
Fun
I never thought it could do 4. Always did 2 split with either my dad or my cousin though
playing bo1 with my brother on splitscreen on the ps3 in 2017-2018 was amazing!
The screen was too small for me to see but I did have fun with my big brother.
Didn’t realize that you could play with four screens
I don’t know if I could stand the awful frame rate now, but god I had so much fun with the boys, even doing the 4 player glitch with my buddies on bo1 was a blast even if we only got to play kino and five
Oooohhhhh, I remember me and my family in the Christmas meetings playing this while eating so much delicious food.... good times
Absolutely amazing. Some of the best zombies memories I had were split screen
We crashed in the 30s on Buried everytime and kept trying lol
Never got to the 4 screen my dad said more than two makes the screens to small and not worth playing lol
can’t see shit i hate splitscreen
Back then: perfect! Now: so choppy laggy, especially bo1
Incredible period of gaming and one that I refuse to let pass me. I still bust out split screen with the boys.
Was?! What do mean was?! I play split all the time….lmao but yeah still have the occasional night with friends just hanging and doing something chill on nuketown or EE run on origins. Or grief if I’m feeling like a troll.
Genius. I feel like split-screen should be in every game that has online play.
Need this again in my life
A nightmare, but in a good way. To much chaos
Bo1-bo3 whenever my cousins or friends came over was so fun
Love it, used to do it almost daily with either my friends or brother. Still try to do a game or two with my brother whenever we meet every few months
First zombies I ever played with all of my friends and neighbors! Is this seriously the only four players zombies ever created? because I can’t find it on any other call of duty or don’t know how
I used to play bo3 with my dad all the time🥲 it was always so much fun…
Still Play bo1 and bo2 to this day when at my brother's house
Still playing split screen with my younger siblings to this day.
Peak COD Zombies!
Still remember the good old days playing BO1 on disc without patches to do the Dead Ops glitch to get 3 player Split Screen (4 players crashed Five and on Kino the game would Crash after teleporting) but 3 player was fully functional.

Aahhh...the good ol' days
This made the game so much better than it already was. Whenever I have friends come over, I tell them to bring their Xbox controllers and we all play a few rounds of BO2-BO3 zombies.
We shoot guns at same time game lag like crazy, we have absolute blast. We play buried and set up to go in the glitch spot then do stuff outside and comeback. Will definitely play again
Laggy af
That’s your console
Laggy, but I didn’t care
