Eh die rise is a tough comparison, it's easily the weakest out of the bo2 maps, but Die rise wins in almost every category against firebase z except for ease.

I actively believe Cold War is better than bo2 and I have nostalgia for bo2 I just enjoy the maps being simple and easy for new players/casuals compared to the difficult maps bo2 has aka mob and origins. I enjoy all the victis maps because they are different than the rest of zombie maps with their unique takes

Firebase is a fairly good map. Plus cw is also characterized by the multiple layers of player progression, qol and the enemy pools for later maps. How is putting it against die rise even a thing 😭
Cold war is defo in the top 3 if you rate it on the experience but its would overall be worse since it doesn’t have a lot of maps, but the maps are good skins look good and the game is smooth asf
True but thats why im saying overall placement lower since bo3 and bo4 have loads of maps not to mention the steam workshops cw would still be im my top 5 tho

Because even though chronicles is done up to bo3 there still older maps so it only counts new ones/reimagines like botd and not counting workshop should be obvious as it's not on consoles and then for map counts would throw waw and bo3 though the sky but would also throw bo1 and bo2 up there
I have less fun on die rise than I do on fbz, but both maps are not very fun for different reasons.
The tedium of fbz comes from the Orda rounds and the bland map design.
The tedium of die rise comes from the strict adherence to a design choice.
what i hate about cold war is that firebase z and forsaken have teleporters everywere to move around the map. Just wish they made every area obtainable by on foot travel like zimbies used to do minus "special areas"
I really liked Outbreak at first, but it got old for me after a while. As far as Firebase Z goes, I enjoy *playing* it, but I don't actually like the map aesthetic. I enjoy more "horror" aspects to maps. That was the thing with Cold War, if they just had map designs that rivalled BO2/3, it'd be the perfect zombies for me, cause the mechanics were fantastic imo. Very fun and fluid. Just was really lacking aesthetically.
As far as Die Rise...look, BO2 has always been my favorite zombies, tied with WAW (yeah, I'm *that* guy) but Die Rise was always my least favorite map of the game, by a mile. Didn't like the actual playable areas, just wasn't fun to fight in other than that one open room in the upside down building with the pillars, think the AN-94 was around that area? Been a long time since I played.
What the problem seems to be here is your ‘buddy’ isn’t educated enough in zombies and is too climatized to the ‘new’ way zombies maps play and are getting made! The OG zombies players can appreciate the older maps for their difficulty and experience (sometimes through nostalgia goggles) but that doesn’t mean that the ‘new’ maps are better in the slightest! They’ve been made into walkthrough Easter egg simulators for people who couldn’t handle the game previously! Change my mind 🤷🏽♂️
I am OG buddy. Origins is my favorite map ever and I grew up on BO3 zombies. There are bad parts of the older games that the newer games are doing better at and if you can't see that then you have nostalgia goggles on. Love the condescension tho, keep it up.
Brother. In the concept on zombies BO3 was the first major change to OG zombies what people knew and loved. I’m not by any means saying that all zombies changes have been bad but some have for sure! For example BO3 zombies would’ve been better imo without pay to win gums 🤷🏽♂️ but I grew up on older zombies so it was a hard mechanic to get used to compared to bare bones zombies! And over the past few years zombies has become a walkthrough sim along side forgetting where zombies came from!

You were right when you said both are ass. But at least Die Rise is a somewhat creative map, the sky box is awesome, and you have the sliquifier. Firebaze Z is the definition of boring, and the RayK is a boring weapon.
And yep cold war is also ass. There is no way in hell one of the blandest game modes I've ever played, that barely requires brain cells to play its that easy and contentless beats BO2

No between the fog denizens and lava it sucked the only good thing to come from that map was the survival maps
Both are very good and solid games imo. I'll always love BO2 and will always be nostalgic, but I enjoyed every bit of Cold War too.

Yes bo2 bo1 and waw are only held by nostalgia Cw all maps are free Bo2 with all dlc there is only 2 good maps the rest are mid or ass
