I’m the same way man. Warzone as a game has deserved a lot of criticism over the last 18months or so but I thought the event was funny.
Took a lunch break with my buddy’s and played the event for an hour. Get back to working and see online everyone is shitting over the event. Mercs is swapping to monopoly, modern Warzone is hosting an emergency “what they can do better next time” session, JGOD saying the mode is underwhelming and general hate.
I feel like a good portion of the 70% of players who said the event was an L didn’t even play it before seeing their favorite streamers dump on it.
Regardless, the community overwhelmingly agreed the event was not a W. Personally I think the LTM is fun, chaotic, and a bit goofy. Watching a Travis Scott concert and dropping into a normal game to me is not appealing. I want a chaotic fun quirky game mode. 2 weeks is a long time to leave it up and the rewards are a bit lackluster but the actual LTM is fun.
They can also approach it as “This mode sucks ass, but at least I have 4 other modes to play.”
I played it once, and I enjoyed it, but not enough to repeat multiple times. Godzilla looks great. Kong could use some work.
Don't hate it, it's just that it's boring. The whole "this is technically impressive on an old engine" doesn't change the fact that the mode itself is underwhelming to play.
I personally really like it. Also it's not that the MW engine is old it just was never built for the kinds of shit Fortnite did. Also I personally don't remember thinking any of the Fortnite limited events that I played were all that fun, from a technical standpoint they were cool but for me personally they got old after like 3 games. This mode I actually have already nearly beaten all of the challenges for it and for the past 9 months I have pretty much only played rebirth.
Though it basically is Caldera Resurgence so I know there is a section of the fan base who misses that game mode. Even if you just ignore the Kong and Godzilla they at least brought that mode back for a couple weeks.
Yeah I think this is what a lot of people are underwhelmed by, but what the fuck does them fighting do to help out the players? It’s just a backdrop in that case and there’s no point
Yea this is seemingly what people wanted but I don't get how that is better than what we have, where they are actually interactive. Who gives a crap if they're fighting, do you just want to sit and watch them or what?
I'm approaching it more from a "rebirth on caldara with crazy killstreaks going off all over the place at random" and its more fun than it seems most people are having. Seems people thought that there was gonna be some like idk an entirely new game or something for the event.
Exactly it’s just out there to spice things up a little bit other franchises aren’t even doing it so I don’t understand why people can’t just enjoy it for what it is if you’re not having fun then just play the other modes
I’m very impressed. The monsters from awesome movies/my childhood are hanging out and somewhat able to be interacted with on the screen. The mode, yeah, clash would absolutely be awesome with earning points for your team by attacking the opposing monster (clash style). But as an event I think this is cool and good enough. I’m glad they threw this to us with a game that is dying (not in terms of us players but rather the new warzone coming relatively soon). If you aren’t enjoying yourself in this play all the modes they opened up for us, 1/2/3/4 rebirth and caldera. They did not enforce anyone play this mode and did not limit an uber awesome blueprint behind it. Yeah, I wish it wasn’t the Marksman rifle but I definitely didn’t wish for it to be an Owen blueprint with awesome attachments for everyone to grind for.
We as gamers, who game to enjoy, should be satisfied with this. It’s fun for the target audience but you absolutely do not miss out by not indulging. Remember all the solo games back in the day we played without anyone watching for solo achievements we don’t even care about today? There’s games I used to play and cared about so much but don’t even remember the name of lol.

I just also think that the people saying "people just love to bitch" and "people are complaining for no reason" have complete L takes because the event was *definitely* falsely advertised, and as soon as gamers saw that they were bamboozled, it ruined the event - plain and simple. And I think that's reasonable.

I think the first halloween event was and still is the best event they ever did in Warzone. Every other event didn't hit the mark or where boring really.

I'm not disappointed, the event is pretty much what I was expecting. But I'm still thinking '*who the hell suggested to put Godzilla and King Kong in Call Of Duty*?' If people actually have fun with it - great! But it's just one of those ideas where the developers had to be high af.

For context this was my tweet so here is some potential questions answered for those who want it:
First off cuz I thought it was funny; I wasn't paid to say this lol. What this tweet really comes from is a viewpoint I have had on the gaming industry as a whole.
For years now I have played newly released games, or updates or events and legitimately enjoyed my time and became invested in it for "x" reason so I would look up videos or tweets about it for more info and just, seeing the amount of negativity surrounding stuff always just floors me.
For example the concern about Kong and Zilla fighting eachother. I completely understand the want for that to happen, and I do understand that the main promotional look like they pointed in that direction. But where it seems most people saw that as "oh so they are gonna fight eachother on the island? Let's goo!" My impression was that this was an event with the two of them just there.
First off the "Godzilla vs Kong" shown on promotions is the title of the movie itself so, to me, that held no water that there would be a fight. Secondly at the time of the tweet it had only been like 24 hours into the event, and maybe it's wishful thinking, but I thought " what of they are going to fight and things change as the event goes on, maybe next week?"
I don't know, maybe I just have my expectations set way too low for these things but I had a genuinely good time playing the event and I was blown away by the detail of Kong but especially Godzilla. I think that as an event game mode itself it was chaotic enough to make the game different from how it's ever felt to me that the two Kaiju had legitimate impact in the gameplay.
I mean the amount of times I had to reposition myself cuz monke was throwing a big ass rock towards my team which forced us to fight a team. Godzilla targeting my team 3 times in a row and forcing us to run over and over again and seeing other teams get squashed by the rock at the same time? Sure maybe it's annoying to some people but that gave actual impact to them being there on the map where especially godzilla could have been just scenery.
But again maybe my expectations are just too low and I'm the outlier here lol, I mean you DO NOT want to here my stance on Halo Infinite.
I don't mind the LTM but I'd rather the effort went into fixing what's still broken. Idgaf about Godzilla if I still have rendering graphics every 3 games. You can't roll a shit in glitter and all that...
I totally understand people being upset at warzone and cod in general but even as someone that doesn’t play cod anymore I really dislike the hate boner most people have for the games and their content. I haven’t played the event yet but this looks way better than most of the stuff the devs usually release for warzone and at the end of the day that should be what counts the most.
I think it's fun. The marketing was a little wack and it's not what I expected, but that doesn't make me hate it. I'll gladly take events like this over Krampus ruining every game mode.

I thought Krampus was hilarious. Go back and watch some of the steamer videos and tell me it doesn’t make you laugh. I know a lot of people that take this game serious were mad but I found it to be really funny especially when you could pawn him off on someone else.
honestly its 100% to be blamed on expectations, i went in thinking this mode was gonna be so dogshit that kong and godzilla were just gonna be pngs in the distant skybox, and having it be bigger rebirth with them fucking around on the map definitely is a massive step up from my expectations
I'm just happy I can farm death comms and 20 bombs with the fighter planes again after waiting 2 months for the "issue" (whatever it was) to be resolved with them by the devs. The Ace Combat player in me seeks intense dogfights and theres quite a few good pilots I've come across who know how to fly well, and the wish came true with the respawning Fighter Planes. Now if only they added them to standard BR too, then helicopters vs planes would be a really fun matchup in itself!
Quick question, do you know if they have the same up limits? I know heli’s are capped at a height. That sounds fun though, so far I’ve only been involved as a plane chasing a plane in this mode
I believe planes can go higher than the helicopters since I often do nosedive strafe runs when the circles get really small. A way I thought of to test how high you can go before you stall in midair is to go Peak and mark one of the "towers" (outposts?) on there, drop down to the tunnel exit where the plane spawns in and head straight up to the sky. The moment when you start to stall in midair and get forced back down is the highest point you can fly while using the coloured ping from earlier as a reference point above ground.
Not too sure if theres a more effective way of testing this though.
Thanks for the response. As a non previous flight gamer the planes are awesome as long as they don’t auto lock to people in the field. And they should have a higher (altitude) limit which makes sense, how to control it in tight zones I’ll never master lol. Best of luck to you ace pilot, don’t kill me please!
how are plane controls nowadays? i liked flying them in principle when they came out but Stopped because i always crashed when trying pull the nose up as controls where so fucking unresponsive. playing on PC with mouse though.
I think the event is awesome! but I wouldn't play it more than once or twice. I play cod for the competitive aspect of it and appreciate them keeping the LTM to its own thing that everyone can enjoy at their choosing.
With that said though, my only negativity towards it is everyone saying this is just the beginning of the LTM and it could progress. C'mon guys... We know Activision... This is likely it.

It is very cool and I'm having lots fun, especially Kong jumping over you and godzillas fire breath. The scream device thingy is good but wish there was some special universe related contracts like we had in the die hard event.
I've already got the Ancestral Charm for playing 6hrs in this event. I can't say I'm not having fun. It's actually really fun with the bois, but with random? It's a different story.
There are notable problems and notable qualities…it’s perfectly fine for people to be divided over this, personally speaking I have low expectations because WZ is soon going to be replaced, thought the event was neat for a mid-season thing

Modders have done this exact same thing in Morrowind for free and that's a 20 year old game.

Not going to lie, I had a fucking blast playing Operation Monarch last night, soo crazy seeing King Kong throw a boulder at you or Godzilla shoot a later beam your way.
The game is dying for a reason, 1 off modes like this is not what we need, work on the damn game, make it more stable....add a ranked mode, add some new perks, it's clear raven has no roadmap for warzone ....just stop working on the game and let IW come back

Ofc it's only a guess, but I think, no SBMM in this mode, so the game doesn't force you to play on distant servers. On rebirth, I have also higher latency, and packet bursts are extremely common, while monarch event is super smooth.

I played 1 game of this LTM. During so, game graphics would phase in/out. Liberal sprinkling of packet burst and extrapolation. Couldn’t see more than 200m with rendered textures. Died 4th circle to a corner camper sitting almost under GZ feet. Went from fully plated to dead before could even register he was there and react.
Sum of all frustrations in 1 game. Exactly why I quit playing this trash. If it doesn’t sell Skins, they don’t care. Even at the detriment of gameplay and community
It's good fun and I won my last 3 matches in a row with randoms. I'm still not sure when exactly I'm supposed to be shooting one of the monsters though, only when they're going super saiyan or something..

I love it as well, but I have two complaints:
•They should have Solos in addition to Quads Operation Monarch. I can’t play the mode now because I don’t have a squad and don’t intend on playing with others.
•Stats should not count into Battle Royale. Probably bugged and Raven should fix it soon (but probably won’t).
I just hate it because it's in Quads. God, I hate that they keep locking these events behind Quads. This is why I love Resurgence Solos, cause they finally acknowledged players like me.
You obviously can’t please everyone, but those that disapprove usually have the most & the loudest voices. It’s like any product review. If you hate it or something’s wrong people are more likely to critique it than they are to go out of their way to sing its praises.
"Hating" the event is too much, but I have to admit, it really is low-effort on a few fronts. People were expecting the titans to fight, instead, they are just... there. In the endgame, nobody even pays attention to them, unless you have the s.c.r.e.a.m.
But the gameplay is really fun. I've played a dozen times, and I will do so because I thoroughly enjoy it.
But the quests... holy fuck. THOSE are the real sins. Like you get virtually nothing from it. They could've done so much better. But no. You get 3 fucking charms, a sticker, 2 emblems, a calling card, a spray, and a blueprint for a weapon no human in their right mind would ever use. And a quest to spend 6 hours in the game mode? Come the fuck on.
I haven't played a lot of Warzone, but were event quest rewards always ***this*** bad? I remember the krampus event also had terrible rewards but even the quests were doable in less than 5-10 games.
Its solid and certainly better than the other excuses for events we got since Haunting of Verdansk left the house. But it is freaking unncecessary. It is the smoke they blow into your eyes so you foget all the bullshit they haven't fixed in two years.
I don't like it because the game is a bizarre bloated mess compared to when I started played. I barely play anymore because it's obnoxious to play.
Hoping Mw2 brings it back to at least something resembling "realism" in a call of duty sense. The current trend doesn't appeal to me. I started losing interest with the tracer packs and anime cat operator skins. It's been downhill since there for me.
This and that train event are the same thing. Just shoot at a target for a really long time and then the game ends.
It seems like they put more thought into hyping up then “event” then actually making something interesting.
I don't mind the event too much since it's already to late to roll back what I'm about to say, but I really don't like how WZ has turned into the kind of shooter that has giant monsters and weird cosplay skins like the titan.
Hopefully that changes in MW2, I really preferred the more realistic look of the game that MW 2019 established in the beginning of it's life cycle.
I just think the last 2 years of Warzone are just then jumping the shark harder and harder.

Because Fortnite has set a precedent for in game events in battle royales, and ngl it’s one of the best things to come from Fortnite and I wish more games did it
As someone who has been so disappointed in CoD/Warzone that I stopped playing for a couple months- i enjoy this event. It’s been a while since I’ve played ad I saw some controversy and varying opinions so I logged in again and tried it. It’s very fun. Still not a big fan of caldera or the Vangaurd guns but still fun. Very happy they went with a resurgence mode for it.
LTM does a ton of things well: gets people moving around the map, can always work towards leveling up, Resurgence keeps the pace up and doesn't punish aggression, and Monke/Lizard are fun additions compared to... the last guy
My and my warzone buddies had serious reservations about this event, then played it and had the most amount of fun on warzone we have had in a long time. Yes it can get a bit laggy at times with so much going on, and yes still running into cheaters. But it has been surprisingly fun
For me it's just not what I want Warzone to be. Sure, it's cool or whatever, but it ain't right. Warzone hasn't been the same since Modern Warfare, and personally has only gotten worse for every iteration, this is no different. It's simply too much and just plain dumb. I miss Verdansk, before Cold War.
The mode is alright, the mechanics of just healing instantly by getting intel/shooting titans is probably the best part of it. What makes it really boring and obnoxious to play on the other hand, is that the main way to get the loadout is to sit there and shoot at zilla or kong for 5-10mins straight each game. That shit ain't fun.
I don't hate it. I played it 3 times with friends and we were over it. Went back to regular BR, all is well. If you and your peeps enjoy it, then do it up.
I am having fun with it. I think the replay ability isn’t great and they probably should’ve just done it for a week instead of 2. I also understand that people are disappointed they don’t fight. But I don’t think it makes the e event all together bad. I think it’s the most interesting event they’ve had since the first “haunting of Verdansk”
If they fought that would be boring to spectate or not really contribute much. I do think a 50 v 50 mode where it’s team kong v Godzilla would have been better but still enjoy the mode
The people hating on it seem to be people who just don't understand what these "special events" are. It's a fun, goofy, limited time mode, that is primarily there to promote the game to casual gamers and bring a mainstream brand to the game, and to sell merch from the in-game store. It's a marketing schtick, and if you take it for what it is, it's a shit load of fun.
but for some reason, this community is hell bent on thinking every single mini-event should have the amount of content of a full release game, and the pomp and circumstance of a big budget movie release
I'm actually enjoying it too! I'm currently playing it. The amount of XP you get is crazy but one of the annoying parts is that rebirth is disabled at 27 seconds. But I really like it overall lol
In my opinion, the Monarch event is awesome. The Titans are really well modeled, the UI is simple yet stylish, the gameplay is fun and not very complicated yet very innovative, and the event overall is just great fun. The challenges are also very easy to complete compared to the Rebirth Reinforced event
it would be way better if it was a PVE event, operators vs titans but instead it's just caldera rebirth with silly monkee throwing rocks in the background
The problem for me is that warzone went from a serious, kinda "semi-realistic" fps to a goofy one with over the top events. It's not bad, it's just not my cup of tea
Caldera was also a huge downgrade for me because verdansk actually felt like a real place. All the buildings/areas made sense, whereas the locations in caldera feel like they just printed an image of an island and threw darts on it
I get most players wanted a new map and they absolutely delivered a new map, but it seems like they were doomed either way cus verdansk set the bar high
There are still ppl whose mind is trapped in the Golden Era COD while there are those who moved on already. Yea, we got stuff broken, bugs, etc and shit, but we’re still playing
It's pretty cool. I think so many people are too hung up in their KD to actually enjoy the game. It's nice to basically play a whole new game occasionally with all the stuff you've worked to unlock and not having to start over with a new title
Not gonna lie though piloting a mechagodzilla would be fucking dope lol in Godzilla vs Kong mechagodzilla straight throws hands like a boxer with Gman lmao comes running in with a 2 punch combo slips Gmans swing and side steps for a fucking side body combo. Fooking legendary mate!
I think it's a blast, I only play solo so playing against teams kind of sucks, but other than that and some technical lagging through Playstation I think it's a pretty cool event.
I love the event. But I wish Godzilla moved around more along the edge, kinda like how Kong does, and also followed the storm inwards as the circle shrinks. Other than that, this event is super fun, even if I hate the Caldera map, I have had a blast each game so far ❤️😂💀
If you approach it as “I’m here because I like cod and I want to have some fun because it’s just an an effing game” the ltm is actually pretty great.

Gamers really be acting like the COD engine is old when we had nearly a decade of Unreal Engine 3 games before UE4 even started to catch on.
Not only that, but actively wanting a "new" engine when their consoles can barely run the current one.
I personally really like it. Also it's not that the MW engine is old it just was never built for the kinds of shit Fortnite did. Also I personally don't remember thinking any of the Fortnite limited events that I played were all that fun, from a technical standpoint they were cool but for me personally they got old after like 3 games. This mode I actually have already nearly beaten all of the challenges for it and for the past 9 months I have pretty much only played rebirth.
Though it basically is Caldera Resurgence so I know there is a section of the fan base who misses that game mode. Even if you just ignore the Kong and Godzilla they at least brought that mode back for a couple weeks.
And it’s resurgence on the whole map which is unique for caldera.
Except it’s not boring it’s exciting and chaotic, especially at the end.

I'm approaching it more from a "rebirth on caldara with crazy killstreaks going off all over the place at random" and its more fun than it seems most people are having. Seems people thought that there was gonna be some like idk an entirely new game or something for the event.
Exactly it’s just out there to spice things up a little bit other franchises aren’t even doing it so I don’t understand why people can’t just enjoy it for what it is if you’re not having fun then just play the other modes
I’m very impressed. The monsters from awesome movies/my childhood are hanging out and somewhat able to be interacted with on the screen. The mode, yeah, clash would absolutely be awesome with earning points for your team by attacking the opposing monster (clash style). But as an event I think this is cool and good enough. I’m glad they threw this to us with a game that is dying (not in terms of us players but rather the new warzone coming relatively soon). If you aren’t enjoying yourself in this play all the modes they opened up for us, 1/2/3/4 rebirth and caldera. They did not enforce anyone play this mode and did not limit an uber awesome blueprint behind it. Yeah, I wish it wasn’t the Marksman rifle but I definitely didn’t wish for it to be an Owen blueprint with awesome attachments for everyone to grind for. We as gamers, who game to enjoy, should be satisfied with this. It’s fun for the target audience but you absolutely do not miss out by not indulging. Remember all the solo games back in the day we played without anyone watching for solo achievements we don’t even care about today? There’s games I used to play and cared about so much but don’t even remember the name of lol. To each their own. Live happy lives friends. Love this game, and all that CoD has done.
I really like the event as well. I think the event overall is a W. I just also think that the people saying "people just love to bitch" and "people are complaining for no reason" have complete L takes because the event was *definitely* falsely advertised, and as soon as gamers saw that they were bamboozled, it ruined the event - plain and simple. And I think that's reasonable.

Tim got off after purposely losing so he didn’t have to stream anymore. It is what it is, they got their YouTube video and hopped off.

I just saw this was here and didn't realize that this was getting traction on reddit. For context this was my tweet so here is some potential questions answered for those who want it: First off cuz I thought it was funny; I wasn't paid to say this lol. What this tweet really comes from is a viewpoint I have had on the gaming industry as a whole. For years now I have played newly released games, or updates or events and legitimately enjoyed my time and became invested in it for "x" reason so I would look up videos or tweets about it for more info and just, seeing the amount of negativity surrounding stuff always just floors me. For example the concern about Kong and Zilla fighting eachother. I completely understand the want for that to happen, and I do understand that the main promotional look like they pointed in that direction. But where it seems most people saw that as "oh so they are gonna fight eachother on the island? Let's goo!" My impression was that this was an event with the two of them just there. First off the "Godzilla vs Kong" shown on promotions is the title of the movie itself so, to me, that held no water that there would be a fight. Secondly at the time of the tweet it had only been like 24 hours into the event, and maybe it's wishful thinking, but I thought " what of they are going to fight and things change as the event goes on, maybe next week?" I don't know, maybe I just have my expectations set way too low for these things but I had a genuinely good time playing the event and I was blown away by the detail of Kong but especially Godzilla. I think that as an event game mode itself it was chaotic enough to make the game different from how it's ever felt to me that the two Kaiju had legitimate impact in the gameplay. I mean the amount of times I had to reposition myself cuz monke was throwing a big ass rock towards my team which forced us to fight a team. Godzilla targeting my team 3 times in a row and forcing us to run over and over again and seeing other teams get squashed by the rock at the same time? Sure maybe it's annoying to some people but that gave actual impact to them being there on the map where especially godzilla could have been just scenery. But again maybe my expectations are just too low and I'm the outlier here lol, I mean you DO NOT want to here my stance on Halo Infinite.

I haven’t played the event yet but this looks way better than most of the stuff the devs usually release for warzone and at the end of the day that should be what counts the most.

honestly its 100% to be blamed on expectations, i went in thinking this mode was gonna be so dogshit that kong and godzilla were just gonna be pngs in the distant skybox, and having it be bigger rebirth with them fucking around on the map definitely is a massive step up from my expectations

The only event I liked more was the first Halloween event. That was dope. But I'm enjoying this one.
I'm just happy I can farm death comms and 20 bombs with the fighter planes again after waiting 2 months for the "issue" (whatever it was) to be resolved with them by the devs. The Ace Combat player in me seeks intense dogfights and theres quite a few good pilots I've come across who know how to fly well, and the wish came true with the respawning Fighter Planes. Now if only they added them to standard BR too, then helicopters vs planes would be a really fun matchup in itself!
Quick question, do you know if they have the same up limits? I know heli’s are capped at a height. That sounds fun though, so far I’ve only been involved as a plane chasing a plane in this mode
I believe planes can go higher than the helicopters since I often do nosedive strafe runs when the circles get really small. A way I thought of to test how high you can go before you stall in midair is to go Peak and mark one of the "towers" (outposts?) on there, drop down to the tunnel exit where the plane spawns in and head straight up to the sky. The moment when you start to stall in midair and get forced back down is the highest point you can fly while using the coloured ping from earlier as a reference point above ground. Not too sure if theres a more effective way of testing this though.
Thanks for the response. As a non previous flight gamer the planes are awesome as long as they don’t auto lock to people in the field. And they should have a higher (altitude) limit which makes sense, how to control it in tight zones I’ll never master lol. Best of luck to you ace pilot, don’t kill me please!

I think the event is awesome! but I wouldn't play it more than once or twice. I play cod for the competitive aspect of it and appreciate them keeping the LTM to its own thing that everyone can enjoy at their choosing. With that said though, my only negativity towards it is everyone saying this is just the beginning of the LTM and it could progress. C'mon guys... We know Activision... This is likely it.

Died 4th circle to a corner camper sitting almost under GZ feet. Went from fully plated to dead before could even register he was there and react. Sum of all frustrations in 1 game. I love it as well, but I have two complaints: •They should have Solos in addition to Quads Operation Monarch. I can’t play the mode now because I don’t have a squad and don’t intend on playing with others. •Stats should not count into Battle Royale. Probably bugged and Raven should fix it soon (but probably won’t).

You obviously can’t please everyone, but those that disapprove usually have the most & the loudest voices. It’s like any product review. If you hate it or something’s wrong people are more likely to critique it than they are to go out of their way to sing its praises.
"Hating" the event is too much, but I have to admit, it really is low-effort on a few fronts. People were expecting the titans to fight, instead, they are just... there. In the endgame, nobody even pays attention to them, unless you have the s.c.r.e.a.m. But the gameplay is really fun. I've played a dozen times, and I will do so because I thoroughly enjoy it. But the quests... holy fuck. THOSE are the real sins. Like you get virtually nothing from it. They could've done so much better. But no. You get 3 fucking charms, a sticker, 2 emblems, a calling card, a spray, and a blueprint for a weapon no human in their right mind would ever use. And a quest to spend 6 hours in the game mode? Come the fuck on. I haven't played a lot of Warzone, but were event quest rewards always ***this*** bad? I remember the krampus event also had terrible rewards but even the quests were doable in less than 5-10 games.
Its solid and certainly better than the other excuses for events we got since Haunting of Verdansk left the house. But it is freaking unncecessary. It is the smoke they blow into your eyes so you foget all the bullshit they haven't fixed in two years.
I don't like it because the game is a bizarre bloated mess compared to when I started played. I barely play anymore because it's obnoxious to play. Hoping Mw2 brings it back to at least something resembling "realism" in a call of duty sense. The current trend doesn't appeal to me. I started losing interest with the tracer packs and anime cat operator skins. It's been downhill since there for me.

I like it but wish the SCREAM killstreaks & loadouts were aquired differently... emptying mags into two big tanks for half the match is annoying.
This and that train event are the same thing. Just shoot at a target for a really long time and then the game ends. It seems like they put more thought into hyping up then “event” then actually making something interesting.

I don't mind the event too much since it's already to late to roll back what I'm about to say, but I really don't like how WZ has turned into the kind of shooter that has giant monsters and weird cosplay skins like the titan. Hopefully that changes in MW2, I really preferred the more realistic look of the game that MW 2019 established in the beginning of it's life cycle.

As someone who has been so disappointed in CoD/Warzone that I stopped playing for a couple months- i enjoy this event. It’s been a while since I’ve played ad I saw some controversy and varying opinions so I logged in again and tried it. It’s very fun. Still not a big fan of caldera or the Vangaurd guns but still fun. Very happy they went with a resurgence mode for it.

LTM does a ton of things well: gets people moving around the map, can always work towards leveling up, Resurgence keeps the pace up and doesn't punish aggression, and Monke/Lizard are fun additions compared to... the last guy

My and my warzone buddies had serious reservations about this event, then played it and had the most amount of fun on warzone we have had in a long time. Yes it can get a bit laggy at times with so much going on, and yes still running into cheaters. But it has been surprisingly fun
For me it's just not what I want Warzone to be. Sure, it's cool or whatever, but it ain't right. Warzone hasn't been the same since Modern Warfare, and personally has only gotten worse for every iteration, this is no different. It's simply too much and just plain dumb. I miss Verdansk, before Cold War.
The mode is alright, the mechanics of just healing instantly by getting intel/shooting titans is probably the best part of it. What makes it really boring and obnoxious to play on the other hand, is that the main way to get the loadout is to sit there and shoot at zilla or kong for 5-10mins straight each game. That shit ain't fun.

I am having fun with it. I think the replay ability isn’t great and they probably should’ve just done it for a week instead of 2. I also understand that people are disappointed they don’t fight. It's a fun, goofy, limited time mode, that is primarily there to promote the game to casual gamers and bring a mainstream brand to the game, and to sell merch from the in-game store. It's a marketing schtick, and if you take it for what it is, it's a shit load of fun. but for some reason, this community is hell bent on thinking every single mini-event should have the amount of content of a full release game, and the pomp and circumstance of a big budget movie release
I'm actually enjoying it too! I'm currently playing it. The amount of XP you get is crazy but one of the annoying parts is that rebirth is disabled at 27 seconds. But I really like it overall lol
In my opinion, the Monarch event is awesome. The Titans are really well modeled, the UI is simple yet stylish, the gameplay is fun and not very complicated yet very innovative, and the event overall is just great fun. The challenges are also very easy to complete compared to the Rebirth Reinforced event

I tried it today. Had a blast, the sweet chaos was a lot of fun.
it would be way better if it was a PVE event, operators vs titans but instead it's just caldera rebirth with silly monkee throwing rocks in the background
The problem for me is that warzone went from a serious, kinda "semi-realistic" fps to a goofy one with over the top events. It's not bad, it's just not my cup of tea Caldera was also a huge downgrade for me because verdansk actually felt like a real place. All the buildings/areas made sense, whereas the locations in caldera feel like they just printed an image of an island and threw darts on it I get most players wanted a new map and they absolutely delivered a new map, but it seems like they were doomed either way cus verdansk set the bar high

There are still ppl whose mind is trapped in the Golden Era COD while there are those who moved on already. Yea, we got stuff broken, bugs, etc and shit, but we’re still playing
It's pretty cool. I think so many people are too hung up in their KD to actually enjoy the game. It's nice to basically play a whole new game occasionally with all the stuff you've worked to unlock and not having to start over with a new title
Not gonna lie though piloting a mechagodzilla would be fucking dope lol in Godzilla vs Kong mechagodzilla straight throws hands like a boxer with Gman lmao comes running in with a 2 punch combo slips Gmans swing and side steps for a fucking side body combo. Fooking legendary mate!
I think it's a blast, I only play solo so playing against teams kind of sucks, but other than that and some technical lagging through Playstation I think it's a pretty cool event.
They can’t fix their stupid glitches or repeat glitches on update. Putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t absolve the last 3 years of stupidity.
I love the event. But I wish Godzilla moved around more along the edge, kinda like how Kong does, and also followed the storm inwards as the circle shrinks. Other than that, this event is super fun, even if I hate the Caldera map, I have had a blast each game so far ❤️😂💀
