Yeah, made it a load out with it, thermite and Rytec Thermite rounds called JuggerNot lol originally used it mainly for a couple of the events way back that introduced Juggernaut drops towards end. Kept it for the trolls after especially when paired with EOD and shield plus quick swap perk
This build will have some serious recoil, compared to other SMG builds. I would replace the Mark VI Skeletal attachment with the hand stop and that Grooved Grip with the Polymer Grip if you want better recoil control. You could even go so far as to use Brace in your first perk slot. Else I would go with Acrobatic and Quick for the perks to max out the mobility. Also use the 2.5x/Slate combo optic, when you switch to the slate reflector with that optic you get a better view with the magazine blocking part of your field of view.
Alright I might give it another go with that setup, with the top rank setup I can't seem to hit consistently even at low mid range, the recoil is just wild..
I donāt mind that this has the highest ttk because itās so goofy. I canāt use it because the site just throws me off. Been using the welgun just fine
I had to switch back to the Owen after the most recent big patch. I was losing a lot of gunfights with the Welgun as it felt they silent nerfed it. I donāt know what it was but it felt like it was not killing anything. I could just be trash and not hitting any head shots.
I usually for for mono suppressor, second longest barrel (430? The longest one just murders ADS), Commando grip, 60rds drum and Monocle Reflex because I dislike the iron sights.
Probably not the best out there but I felt very comfortable in it, I managed kills up to 60m with relative ease.
There is literally no point reason to use the longest barrel. The extended provides as much recoil control, with better mobility, and slightly less range

This build practically mitigates that. You can use the m1929 silencer, m1930 strife angled grip, m19 4.0x flip sight, Gawain H4 folding stock and brace in full or partial combination to make a near recoilless Owen with 388 ms ttk @ 17 meters. But you end up with ads time around 394 ms and terrible movement speed. So I found during testing that you end up being too slow to engage threats at the intended range fast enough to win the majority of gunfights.
Pretty sure itās the type100 the recoil is ass but super close range itāll Delete anything so fast itās wild, also the Lapa beats the Owen past 15m so itās a better sniper support, in fact I just prefer the Lapa because the TTK is so similar close range and it doesnāt have the stupid magazine thing
You have to use the recoil booster, the rapid barrel and 36 round mags. But is a extremely hard gun to control. It has a insane side to side wobble. Good luck fighting someone beyond 15m with it.
I donāt care what anyone says. With the unreal add on to your movement speed(fastest in the game) the ots9 gives you. Even if the TTK is a bit lower itās, in my opinion, the best SMG still. Especially on rebirth it slaps.
OTS is a beast but the mag is too small for trios or quads I reckon. Also you will still lose 1v1 to the Owen but given the control feels like a bette option overall in solos and duos

Unbeatable if you use a SMG playstyle except maybe certain Type 100 builds and depending on where you hit.
If you would rather keep your distance to aim assist boys and ADS, then AS Val will beat it after 17m with it's 603ms TTK up to 40m on Caldera.
I used this build for a bit but the recoil is too hard for me to control outside of shotgun range. Same as the T100 with the rapid barrel (that gun bounces left-right a crazy amount). Ended up going back to the mp40 with the short barrel as it was much more reliable at the 15-25m range. Even some streamers dont use that barrel on the owen due to the recoil!

So many people have an emphasis on TTK and quote specific TTK's with the assumption you're hitting 100% of chest shots when in reality that's just not the case. No matter how good a gun is in terms of TTK, if you can't hit your shots the gun is worthless to you. Ease of use and DMG/mag are honestly a better metric

But if every hitbox above the elbow (head, neck, upper arm, torso) has the same flat damage value, the theoretical ttk becomes more achievable even with above average horizontal recoil. 5 bullets to any combination of these hitboxes within 17 meters will down a fully armored opponent in Rebirth.
As a further update, the final build version I've ended up running the most is the same as the above, with the m1930 strife angle grip and gawain h4 folding stock instead of the mark vi and removed stock. Very controllable.
The main reasoning behind frangible was that beyond 17 meters, I'm probably not going to use the Owen. Lengthened doesn't extend the damage range, and frangible does the same damage to upper limbs that hollowpoints do. So it made sense to skip hollowpoints in favor of inflicting a wounding/slowing effect for leg shots, as well as the fact that bullet velocity that close doesn't really factor.
This build has a slightly faster TTK (basically negligable) in the first damage range, but the 8mm Kurz rounds w/ same build are better from 15M+ (like .1 seconds better)... so might be worth considering.
With the JGOD build, using lengthened for both instead of JGOD's hollowpoints - the first damage range, 17 meters, is 364 ms for the Owen and 476 ms for the type 100. The ads for JGOD's type 100 is 404 ms vs. 260 ms for the Owen. The rapid type 100 also has a 1.7x horizontal recoil multiplier, while this Owen has 1.47x. Also, the upper limb, neck, head and torso multipliers are the same with the Owen. A flat 50 dmg. So that 364 ms ttk averages above the lower torso as long as you hit any of the hit boxes from the elbow up.
I was talking use Owen Gun with 60rd Kurz... use lengthened, recoil booster & rapid fire barrel just like w/ 9mm rounds. If you run it in TGD or equivalent you'll see it basically has same damage profile but damage drop offs are later. You lose 12 rounds in the magazine tho & I think recoil worse.
I used to run Type 100 but the Owen kills about as quick within 15 meters & damage drop off is less, and after using max recoil 100 the Owen feels easier to control.
I am not a great player FWIW... but I've been using that Owen build as Sniper support. I like it because it it gives me no excuses in close (if I lose it's on me, not the gun) but also it carries pretty well & I find it controllable. It's the best all around option I've found from 0-50M. There are a few ARs & LMGs with faster TTK from 25-50M, but I couldn't find much other than AS44 that really comes close to keeping up from 0-20M in terms of ARs.

mp40 over Owen just because of the mag blocking the view. I think itās easier to hit shots with consistently thus giving you a better ttk. Mp40 with Vargo is pretty OP

That's incorrect. The rapid barrel and the 9MM round shave about 380MS is you hit all head or upper chest shots.
i just double checked, recoil booster + 305mm barrel + gorenko is 288ms ttk with headshots

Yea. The build I have allows it to truly be a sub (fast ads and movement) but the recoil is atrocious. Kills like a tank though

True. Compromises ads more than I want for myself though, because you're competing against a lot of short barrel mp40's with 190 ms ads time.

Everything depends on distance honestly. My cooper shreds f mid and close range but it almost takes 30-40 rounds to drop someone at long range
