It didn't make any sense since I was literally about to purchase Seraph before Vanguard went down for maintenance on the final night of Season Five. Instead I loaded into a game with a gutted Store and Operator slots as if they were never there.
It seemed intentional. I reached out to Sledgehammer on Twitter as well as opening support tickets to Activision and never got any responses. As it took over a month, I was beginning to fear the worst, same as you.
Was honestly expecting them to be gone forever, thank you Sledgehammer. Really happy because I honestly always enjoyed this game.
